  1. Much discussion in the transfer thread about the merits and shortcomings of each...A question was raised about how many points pears cost us.  Two of the biggest.  Right prior to the famed Hedges chip Pears collected the ball.  He immediately booted it long and right into touch surrendering possession.  Now, had he held the ball for sometime then fed the ball to feet the Hedges chop may not have even had tome to happen.  Vey expensive niavety.  Just to add, I am OK keeping either one or both.  Kaminsky better shot stopper but Pears moves the ball with his feet better.  We need a keeper good at both.

Great to see so many of those attendances were local Derbies few Liverpool n Everyon but WHO TF are Man Utd?  What a marvellous history for a lil old town team.  Just over a decade ago were were a, as Souness loved to say, "this is a PROPER FOOTBALL" club.  We were as a. local lad, well Accy I just felt part if Rovers players stayed for Donkeys.years you know they were Rovers in their heart too you just knew it.  Loved it every minute of it, bar those few times I narrowly escaped a mauling, but wow the adrenalin rush then the ecstatic joy as you realised you'd give em the slip.  Now the hair raising experience of finding your transport.  What ti.es lol.

What is the forum's view on fishcakes?

I can't get enough of them. If I see fishcakes in a chippy, I have to get one.

Fishcake in a t-cake @Upside Down, that's the one for me.

I hope the Tomasson family chippy sells them, when they eventually open up shop 😁.

What kind of fish cake, like a John Bull but fish instead of mincemeat.  Loved em always got one visiting grannie in Colne as a kid

  4. Prior to Kaminski's injury I seem to recall a few griping about his performances.  To me some aspects of his game had gone backwards a bit.  Kicking and distribution being quite noticable.  Not as commanding as he was IMHO.  I can see him taking the huff if Pears is keeping him out.  As for some of the figures I have seen on here if 1.5-2mill.  Odd we say we got screwed selling potential for 3 in Raya, yet our experienced International is only worth half.  Has to be at least 5mill or so doesn't it?

I can't wait for this game and hopefully we win and get that playoff place. Even if we don't I think this season has been a success and enjoyable watching a new head coach starting his first season at this level, bringing good young players through, some good football at times and 2 very good cup runs.

Its not like BBD has done owt for months anyway.

Bringing young good players is part of our footballing strategy and one that we excellence at doing.

why are begging in the market?

I think its deffo been a success this season with a new head coach in charge, new style of play and 2 very good cup runs.

I think both Swansea and PNE will at least get a draw against WBA and Sunderland. Down to us to get that win. An early goal from us would deffo help the Rovers players and fans

Dis agree about the early goal.  May just hurt us if we go trying to hold it again.

When was the last time we got a) a penalty b) scored a penalty and c) and own goal in our favour??

We aren't looking good at scoring at the moment and leave loads of room open when rushing forward trying to pass the ball into the net, so seem to concede as we leave all the space at the back. Maybe we need more balls in the box or some tricks in the box to get an own goal or a penalty??

Take some big gonads from the ref to give us a penalty there.  Hope he holds his nerve for this game we need a ref with bottle.

Along with maggot and co sabotaging the transfer of players in January, it's these games that have ensured another season of failure.

If we'd have played these games with some effort and passion we'd have easily picked up at least five or six points.

Sabotage crossed my mind but I felt in the end they are probably too thick to conjure up a plan like that

What we do is that we can match every team ib this league. The problem is our strikers...Gally, Dolan and Hedges won't score 10-15 goals a season... We need some proper strikers who can actually score goals.

Like say a Jordan Rhodes or Rudy Gestede type?  Did not help much.  I think if JDT stays he will get his kind of strikers, if he is supported also.  Gut feeling says both of those things won't happen.

I find it unbelievable that people are blaming the manager for this. I know a lot was the heat of the moment, but if people are still waking up saying it’s all on him is outrageous and clueless.

1st error - It was 30 seconds from the ref blowing his whistle l, hedges has the ball, he needs to run to the flags, hold it up or put his foot through it. If he wasn’t extremely one footed he would have at least straightened up.

2nd error - Wharton has to just deal with it, he’s been on 2 minutes and slips.

3rd error (harsh) but Hyam has to do a little better IMO.

This is down to the players, they are experienced, enough, especially hedges!!
They should all hang their heads in shame, which is what they did.

Pears kicking immediately into touch instead of holding the ball as long as he could.  That was huge to me too.

I think JDT has worked miracles and would be gutted if he left because of the lack of support from Swag and Broughton. A little help in January and we would have already secured our play off spot and potentially, with O’Brien and a competent striker, may well have pushed Sheffield. We still have hope, despite these blows and the hand that fate appears to have dealt us and by Christ, we are long overdue some luck and a play off place.

Found myself wondering how it would look had we done the ppwk proper and timely.
