  1. Of course I can - hence my post, just a little more banter Of course I don't recall any cases of Burnley fans appearing in court for racially abusing a player so not sure its kettles and pots exactly Deleted, tasteless post, I won't rise to it.
  2. It's true Gav the 3-1 scoreline was the day t'clarrots had 110,000 at Ewood with 30,000 locked out and another 25,000 unable to make it cos of problems with the trains. What a delusional bunch.
  3. You must be on about the Kings Head, Mucky Duck too I think there are a few. Not been there in over 20 years used to frequent it once in a while when I lived near LA but it's a bit of a drive from Arizona
  4. He won't be wanting to play in the Championship.
  5. Buggar Ferguson, what about our team. We have lost a decent player and we have done absolutley nothing to strengthen our weakest link, very upset over here.
  6. I think we have established on clarets mad that you brought around 3000 to the turf whilst we brought around 7000 to your place. On clarrots mad? well it must be true then. Rovers/Police had the ticket thing sewn up. I know many Rovers fans from home who simply could not get a ticket. As for "sell out" Was the large space in the Woodshed not by design rather than no shows. If I recall you had about a few over 5000 there, or about 1000 fans per goal conceded, which ever way you prefer to look at it. I don't think you will be such a push over this time though, you seem quite steady at the back and we are lightweight up front so you have a legitimate shot at putting two and a half decades of misery behind you.
  7. Fingers crossed you are right.
  8. Buggar, hope he's not going there just to irk Souness. Come on Bellamy you don't want to play up there. Worst case scenario we lose fegie and do not get Bellamy. Also I thought Newcastle were not willing to do a loan deal. Surely GS would not be happy with a loan deal that put's his buddies team an even more distant second in the two team league.
  9. Oh No, we lose, which we well could and we will never hear the end of it. Hope we are up for it, too bad it was not at Ewood.
  10. PLease say it's not true. Not Carew, what will we do. I don't like this fella, sorry I just don't.
  11. Oh lordy lordy this is exciting. I hope we get Bellamy but absolutely NOT with Emo as a makeweight in the deal. Man oh man I hope we can pull this one off. Todd, Dickov, Savage and Bellamy at least then we can all undestand why we are disliked. The song no one likes us and we don't care would be most true if we are climbing the league. Get in there sparky stuff it up Brum again, I've despised them since the stole Jim Smith. Watched Oldham and Bolton today and it looks like Brum may have got themselves a good prospect from us in young Alex Bruce, had a useful game today. I thought Oldham deserved to win too.
  12. First off, let's not be telling each other who is a fan and who isn't. Surely the person who said they would rather see us relegated than get Bellamy was just trying to emphasise his dislike for Bellamy. I dumb way of putting it I'm sure. Can we afford him? Can we afford not to get him? Relegation still looms large the big question mark for me is can Bellamy stay fit. Will we do a part swap for Bazza, don't know but as soon as Souness left I said on this very board it would happen, you heard it here first. I think we can raise the money if tthe deal is structured right and we can dump some of the heavy useless pay packets off our squad. I would love Bellamy to come here the man has pace that is frightening and, as I have said, with Fergie in the same team if we can hold on to him it would be an exciting thing. Go for it Rovers let's rouse some interest and burn those big headed Brummies again. Boy Rovers and Brum could become a bigger grudge match than them and Villa. A big name signing may just help raise a bit of interest around town too, perhaps a few more ticket sales.
  13. Sorry, but being decent in the face of posts including derisory terms like "Jock" and "Jockland" and being told to go away and "eat some haggis", I think I've done well on here thus far. However, none of my terms were derisory. I merely said "the typical English view". What else can I word it like? I suppose I could have said, "the typical view from down South", but Blackburn are an English club, the English papers are writting the stories in question, so the term used was a fair one. I didn't make ONE derisory comment towards England. I have a good mate from London who's a diehard Gooner ... if I slated England I'd have him to answer to! And as for the conspiracy thing ... Ferguson has told Iain King of the Scottish Sun, directly, that "all he wants to do is come home". See my earlier post. He told Viola he wants home, Viola came to us, we acted accordingly. Fair enough Dado, fair enough.
  14. I am getting a bit tired of you Mr Prso. You started out well enough, good intelligent posts but now your true feelings are beginning to shine through. You English this and you English that. Look the deal is dead, supposedly, you can now return to goad your only competition in a two team league, Please. As for Barry Ferguson. I've had a think about this. I am not sure I buy into the "family reasons" thing. Not after the fact that just a few weeks before he had said how happy he was. No, there has been some behind the scenes pot stirring going on. I like the theory someone put forward of Souness' involvement in getting this all kicked off, the timing is right, it really started when the Geordies started sniffing around Boumsong. I would not doubt GS had portrayed to his pal our financial situation and the likelyhood of them getting Bazza at a cut rate fee. Enter Fergies agent telling Bazza it's a done deal and here we go. Oh how much the 'Gers underestimated little homely BRFC, they had no idea of the resolve of our Manager, and I do beleive it is Sparky's determination to keep Fergie that stopped the board from selling, well done Mark Hughes. Through all of this, how do I feel about Ferguson? Disappointed obviously, but I am prepared to accept that he has been led a merry dance by two individuals looking for personal gain. I think Barry is a few french fries short of a happy meal and can easily be swayed and I really am beginning to beleive he has been nothing more than a pawn. I think if Fergie sat down and really thought this out he would realise what has really happened, all theoretical on my part you understand. As for the future, as long as Mark Hughes wants him in the side and he is pulling on the shirt I will back him. Who knows if Sparky gets Bazzas head straight this may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
  15. Blackburn stated they would only sell ferguson to Rangers. He won't go to Newcastle. Doesn't mean they won't do a SWAP deal to another club though eh? Play on words.
  16. Excellent news. 1) Make sure it is dead dead- no lazarus acts in the summer. 2) Rehabilitate or trade on. Isn't this just what always happens? One club makes a bid. It's turned down. They scrimp and scrape to make an improved "final" offer. It's turned down. They say the deal's dead and usually "It's the player I feel sorry for." Then the player moves two days later for an undisclosed fee. The deal is dead. Frankly, we can both get on with supporting our teams, and maybe Barry can find a new agent ... cause it's obvious Viola started this whole thing off. Looks like the media source who posts on here WAS wrong for once eh? At Ibrox for his medical on Friday? Not a chance. If Fergie fired his Agent and added a little sob PR story about being misled and how victimised he was it might help him save face a bit.
  17. Mostly because he is never where he should be - if he stayed out wide a bit more he might find more decent passes finding their way to him with him finding himself facing forwards and in space, instead of coming inside all the time and getting in the way of the other midfielders. Alot of the time I think this ithe main problem because the others can't keep up with Emerton and haven't got a clue where he is going with the ball, thus leaving him with nobody to pass to and ultimately facing the wrong way or being tackled and out of position. I have to disagree somewhat Mr Kayos. The passes to him were poor and two or three yards behind him. Surely we pass to players as a physical presence not to a space where a player is supposed to be, for the most part.
  18. I don't beleive Ferguson would have made one bit of difference last night, he needs time on the ball and that is one thing Bolton do not give you. It is the reason he has not lived up to the hype. It is why he looks so good up north of the border, he gets all the time on the ball he needs.
  19. Scrappy crappy game, got a little better late on. A lot has to do with the way Bolton play, better teams than us have struggled to get any sort of rythym going against them. We needed to keep the ball down at the feet, too many poor passes led to balls bouncing at players and against Bolton you just are not allowed time to get the ball under control. Diouf is a disgrace as was the penalty decision. The commentator said it was a penalty at first, I disagreed immediately, I knew it was a dive because he fell too late. The ref could not judge that from where he was, behind the play. Too bad Brads save bounced right back to him. A stinker of a way to lose. We are right back in it now. I think criticism of Neill is unfair. We lack creativity and punch up front, never thought I would say thi but MGP looked our biggest threat but can he actually take on a man. Passes to Emerton were so poor he was always facing the wrong way when he got the ball. Not too downhearted with the loss just the way it hapened. I'd give Johnson and Stead a run against Colchester, young Jemal has some pace.
  20. I was thinking we would edge this one but now, due to al the bottom teams winning this weekend, I think the added pressure, must win type situation we will put in our usual flat performance and come up quite a bit short.
  21. Guess I forget where I am sometimes.
  22. Too bad Uncle Jack is not still around, he would have taken care of this homesick stuff. He could have bought Glasgow and had it moved down here.
  23. We want more than that!!! Yeah, but few clubs are as bad as we have been for overpaying for players. Please think before you type, there have been lot's of white elephants at many clubs, the big clubs too. It's just that the big clubs just get rid, get someone else and keep winning so it all seems to be "glossed over" somewhat.
  24. Well well well. I can only say this, if Ferguson goes back to Scotland he has let himself down. Clearly it is a step backwards I would have thought a top Professional would want to play at the highest level, week in week out. If he stays in the Prem and goes to a bigger club with more opportunity to win things fair enough, but to return to the Mickey Mouse league north of the border shows him perhaps his true light. If he does not have the bottle to battle every game then he is not for us anyway. Now, any suitable replacements?
  25. Just thought I would break my self imposed exile, and use this subject to do it. Ferguson? always thought we paid to much, top top SPL player, came to play at a higher level, but apparently wants to move back for the easy money. What sort of ambition is that? None if you ask me. A handful of truly competitive games a year. McFadden signs for relatively low fee, has to fight to get in Evertons first team, has offers to go back but wants to stay to try to hack it in England, a real pro footballer, wants to be the best he can be. Sorry Bazza if you don't want to better your self, play in one of the best , most competetive leagues in the world then what are you really about as a footballer? Not up to much in my opinion. didn't you just get done saying you were happy in England. TND's conspiracy theory holds some water in my opinion. Now back off to la la land. Oh, and Fergie, don't let the door hit you in the arse you pussy.
