  1. I used to live with a fella last year who used a pc he had built himself and could choose to run either windows or OSX off his Linux OS, so im sure it doanble. just how is another matter...
  2. I notice the red scum haven't filled OT this evening. Yes its on the telly, but they are playing a full first team and its hardly a meaningless match.
  3. so its just the graphics card and the memory thats upgradable looking briefly at some of those sites? i'd quite like to build my own....
  4. If they finished 5th in La Liga with hardly any big names, i reckon he'll have been looking at a spaniard rather than one of our players.
  5. Kid a quids frickin awful if you end up sat behind one of them (or god forbid a group of them). Headingley.Leeds fans just want success, they don't care what sport its in. Also lots of rubbish about hooliganism lately (which is all rubbish, the Rhinos fans are FAR worse) meaning loads of people have been banned/ imprisoned/stopped going.
  6. that would be the liquidator by Harry J and the Allstars.....
  7. You can build your own pc your to your own spec and change/upgrade it as you go. Apples just don't offer that.
  8. 1. Liverpool 2. Chelski (Champions League winners) 3. Man Yoo 4. Arsenal 5. Spurs 6. Boro (last seasons squad was good but unlucky with injuries) 7. Everton (after early CL exit) 8. Man City 9. Newcastle (reckon souness will go in novemember/dec and then they'll start performing) 10. Charlton 11. Birmingham 12. Bolton 13. Rovers 14. Villa 15. West Ham 16. Portsmouth 17. Wigan 18. West Brom 19. Fulham 20. Sunderland I reserve the right to change this before the season starts if any major signings take place
  9. He put the cross in for the Grimsby goal. Don't think many of the Rovers fans twigged who he was.
  10. can anyone rip it and host it on the site? I doubt there will be any copyright infringement. I'd like to hear it, even for a laugh.
  11. At Grimsby they came out to Star Wars (i think, the tannoy systems appauling), but it was the poncy song rather than the imperial march
  12. It was killing me all game who that keeper was. I assumed he was Drench, until Drench came on. Hes not up to Enks standard, coca cola leagues keeper imo. I took the family along, as they all live nearby in Scunthorpe and so loved being in the away end watching the codheads have that done to them. Rovers werent all that good, but after the half hour mark GY were simply unable to do anything due to the fitness levels (my father watched Scunthorpe vs GY last week and reckons that the codheads have fitness problems on a Souness level.) Matteo was by far and away the man of the match for me, playing at centre back. Gresko looked quite good going forward, noticed he had to be helped out by an excellent challange by Matteo as he was caught out in a forward position. Jansen looked like two different players every time he touched the ball - one minute he was falling over the (only!) ball, next he looked like his old self. Took his goal well by the looks of it, although it was at the opposite end. Got the biggest cheer from the rovers fans by far when he left the pitch. Jemal Johnson looked very lively when he came on. He will turn into an amazing lower leagues player for sure, its just a question of if he can get his strength up and the experience to play at the top level. very nice first touch on him Grimsby really didnt have a lot to offer. Rovers let them selves down a lot with the attacking players first touches, although by the looks of things Hughesy seems to have some sort of plan with the attacking front line. Their fans all appeal for anything and sneak out 10 minutes early, although to be fair Rovers were taking the p*iss towards the end - it would have been nice to see them try and bag a couple more towards the end.
  13. My suggestion is not to bother drinking in any of the pubs nearby. I might have a pint or two in Grimsby town centre before taking the trip across to Cleggy. I doubt there will be many fans there so i would imagine most of the pubs will let you in with any colours. An interesting fact is that Grimsbys postal area (DN32) has the biggest cross - section of different incomes in the country, so they test out loads of products you'll never see again any where in the country, keep your eyes peeled for random gems at the bar such as 'stella bitter' and john smiths 7% lager'
  14. I think you will find most of the Leeds fans are actually quite happy, as they are now supporting a team that wins things and is one of the top clubs in the world, as well as having much larger and more colorful car stickers. I dont think Utd getting back in the premiership will do much to change that.
  15. One of the festival 'riots' in our very own city was in the rain.
  16. That'd have been me, and i still haven't changed my mind. Imagine being a younger opposition player coming out at Ewood for the first time to face our team, and youv'e got the imperial march playing behind you....you'd shat yourself.
  17. The England football team Team of overpaid arrogant idiots who really believe they own the world cup before its even played. England fans For general xenophobia, hooliganism and believing/spreading the rubbish said about their team. Tabloid papers For encouraging both of the above.
  18. for those that asked me abou german fan friendships, notice the flag next to the BRFCS one- a great example of the 'scheme'
  19. Pigalles great if you keep your wits about you. Lots of people tryin to rip you off etc, lots of hookers, brothels and seedy clubs. all round fun really. Last time i went we went to Seine Saint Denis. Thats somewhere not to take your girl.
  20. have they got the city beaches up and running this year eddie?
  21. i recommend piere- lachaise (sp?) cemetary where Jim Morrison & Edith Piaf are buried. I like Pigalle, quite a lively part of the city similar to Soho in London. Beware the English looking pubs round there are usually brothels though. As someone said in tourist areas you'll get charged more in a bar if you sit down, if you go a bit off the beaten track this isn't so commonplace.
  22. I cant help but wonder why, when there is supposed to be this masterplan in place in major cities in case of terrorist attack, West Yorkshire police were unable to find accomodation for 400 (yes, four hundred) evacuees for a couple of days whilst investigating the house on Hyde Park Rd. Fortunately as it was not term time the Universities helped out with accomodation, but if that had happened at a busier time for the city, where would 400 people (many unable to afford a hotel, or find accomodation with friends) sleep? (the answer, ironically enough, is probably in local mosques)
