i don’t see how playing players in their correct positions over complicates things in all honesty. What confuses players is looking round and seeing gallagher in the right back role because we don’t change formation with nobody else fit in that position!

Fair enough mate, it worked for a while no doubt but when it isn’t working then that’s when I want the manager to earn his corn by knowing how to effect the game to our benefit

Yea but we also need to change when injury’s, suspensions etc mean that formation is no longer our best option. We look lost of ideas at the moment , formation isn’t working

But the playing players out of position is as a consequence of not changing the rigid formation so we are having to shoehorn folk in positions they aren’t custom to. We should have 2-3 different formation able to change for players available-on form- opposition just standard management to be able to adapt to circumstances, not advocating change for change sake but when needed it’s a must

Well your part of the problem for me, only having one way to play is absolutely killing us , why can’t we have a few different formations to suit the opposition. Do we really need three defenders v hull or Swansea?

Wholly disagree, on another day we lose to boro as well, not as if we peppered their goal and they probably should have had a pen. claiming bad luck in hull and Swansea when it shouldn’t be needed to put them sides away. Genuinely can’t remember the last very good display the team have gave. Think we have very different views on what’s good and what’s not. We weren’t decent last night at all, how many times did we threaten? 100% more effective up front, hasn’t been given a run of games in his favoured position. I’m not saying he is brilliant at it but he needs to be given a run there

None of the things u have said are particularly needed for an attacker tho which is basically what he is at the moment , put him in the middle where his passing can be utilised after he nicks the ball , fast wingers where he can play them in over the top . Buckley ain’t very good at scoring ya know

Going forward I’d like to see bbd deployed in buckleys role in the hole behind strikers in front of midfielders, he is good at running with the ball and can pick out a decent pass, I see him very much in the mould of Matt jansen. Play gallagher up top in front of him , I know he isn’t a world beater but it’s gallagher best position not out on the wing. He needs a run up top and a chance to claim that for his own , if he doesn’t produce from now into the end of the season then we know we need a striker in the summer - we probably do anyway

I’d agree if he was firing it into dangerous areas instead of the first man’s head

As much as I agree brereton has improved, there is still some to go for me - my main issue is that he needs to get a lot stronger, easily pushed off the ball time and time again then goes down expecting fouls when it’s just he wasn’t strong enough. Good few times last night he was bullied. - he needs to watch offside a bit more, winner to be had with just a quick look along the line but I am wholly impressed with his improvement this season , even came back and sprayed some lovely balls about the field last night, night and day with the nervous looking player of old another point I saw you make is Giles is a good crosser.
