  1. And that white-haired Italian striker too. Ravioli or something. But yeah, they have never won the top division in their history. Their only honours is winning the League Cup once. Also, they have the honour of being one of the first clubs relegated from the PL. And, they talk like Juninho was one of the best players in the world. He was good but that's way OTT.
  2. Just learned that he was affectionately called Butthead at Boro...
  3. Would love Tosin back but he would expect to start and not sure TM will drop Lenihan.I think Tosin sees himself as a CB too, so not sure he would be too happy playing further up.
  4. Some players just adapt to mens football straight away. You just have to keep sticking in him and let him enjoy himself - could have a real gem here.
  5. Amazing that he has jumped straight into the first team fold. He must be delighted with how things have gone so far for him here. Such quick feet and great workrate, perhaps needs to work on decision making and get more of an end product but surely that will come. So close to an assist above too.
  6. LB first, we can always loan someone in to cover Travis. Problem is, it needs to be someone like Travis that we bring in. He is very important for the pressing game that we play.
  7. Come on, i am quick to criticize but we could have not done much better than Ayala at this level. Even most Boro fans say he would walk into their defense. He has niggles, sure, but dont most of our backline? Really cannot fathom anyone being upset at this signing.
  8. https://fmttmboro.com/index.php?threads/ayala-to-blackburn.8230/ https://fmttmboro.com/index.php?threads/oh-danny-boy-ayala-now-closely-linked-with-mogga-s-blackburn-rovers.8238/
  9. Especially as it seems WIlliams might be off. Kinda hope we keep him but only in a backup capacity as he can fill two roles (albeit not very well lol) Plus, he has some mighty pearly whites going on there.
  10. Think Ayala is going to cost us a bit in wages but if you want good, you have to pay good. I do not see many Boro fans saying much about fitness tbh, hasnt played since January due to contract/fall out. Dont see much or anything or people saying he past it, which he shouldnt be anyway at 29 tbh.
  11. Fantastic news! Very good CB at this level - i would even say top 6 standard. Please now get a LB!
  12. Probably did but to play in some 4th rate league on the other side of the world for more money - crappy human rights laws, he is already settled in UK, and can play in a better quality competition. I kinda applaud him if he has turned down bigger bucks.
  13. Seems he can play a little too. Just like the fact that he is a no nonsense defender.
  14. There were murmurings that Newcastle wanted AA back. Wonder if there was anything in this and the reported '10 million' bid in for one of our players? Has looked a lil stroppy during preseason
  15. That would have been the bare minimum we need but truthfully, we need another CB as cover, possibly a RB for competition (and to stop Bennett playing there) and possibly somebody else for up top with DG and DS gone. That's without the backup keeper and LB that we need as minimum. Still, I am so far happy with the keeper on first impressions and Ayala brings lots of experience to our backline. As long as we get the LB and backup goalie on perms, I would not be adverse to filling the other requirements with a few good quality loans.
  16. Whats with the embarrassed emoji's?
  17. Would be pretty happy with Ayala, Cunningham and this back up keeper.
  18. Yet he is going for some big bucks
  19. Go read back instead of rewriting history yourself.
  20. I suggest you go read back - there were many completely against it.
  21. Think ill judge their educated opinion over yours.
  22. They dont like to be proved wrong. 13.5 million for a bench player for 3 years apparently.
  23. Yet Englands number one is a small keeper.
  24. Not won our first fixture for 11 seasons.
