28 quite young for a keeper ..and if you say an average of 30 games a season? that equates to say six seasons ..not many Gks playing first team at 22..plus a specialised position as such..4m not really pushing it ?

I agree ..just that one off season defensively as a team probably cost him his place at rovers. Not all on Rayas shoulders as we all know but unfortunately the keeper gets the brunt of it BUT there has to be changes to our back four as well or its a pointless sale. We need a confident back five ..we are a long way from that at the moment ..a lack of confidence with those around you will cost you whoever you are.

Definetly spilt opinion . The thing about Raya is WILL he develop into a great keeper or not . At the moment after last season we really aint in a position to wait and find out . We need to shore that defence up pretty sharpish and unfortunately in most teams it starts with the keeper. Brentford taking a gamble ..and again good luck to the lad. A better defensive display all round last season from everyone and would probably have given him another season here.

Yeah he simply cant defend ..the number of times a wide player got to the bye line to get a cross in was criminal.

Whether Raya is to be sold or not ..theres no way he should be the no1 this season after last. As has been pointed out on numerous occasions ..our goals against last season was bloody awful! Keeper instils confidence on defence ..defence instils confidence on the keeper ..neither evident last season so a change was inevitable. If Raya was to remain would he gain the confidence needed sat on the bench at Ewood ? Better for both parties for a clean start elsewhere. lad was never the same after the WBA game but even prior to that he was making mistakes which he really should not have been making. Best of luck David.

Maybe Raya also pushing for a move now? He was part of the problem last season and yes not entirely all his fault
