Sheffield Wednesday away Sat 16th March

im damn sure that bench will be filled come Saturday ..What Mowbray says mid week and what happens on Saturdays are usually nowt like. -
Definitely not Stuart.. Mathew was a regular on our Accy supporters coach ..devastating news.. will be very sadly missed sigh.
-
As I said Arbitro just another take on it . Read them another way and it sounds like Mowbrays having a dig... we ll probably never know and im certainly not falling out with you about it! Could be construed in either way. Mowbray already said publicly that he doesn't care if his defenders score goals ..if they cant stop them then next season he ll replace with those that will. Pressure on.
-
Im just putting forward another opinion Abritro ..who knows ..? But it could quite easily be seen as a veiled comment from Mowbray that soon as the bollockings (some public) start players suddenly start getting tight hamstrings . Just a little funny Kev Gallagher said something very similar during the game too and was mentioning Mulgrew . As an Ex pro ( Gallagher not me !) to say something on those lines suggests he s seen it at first hand during his playing career and may not be as uncommon as we think regardless of what experience said player has ?
-
Maybe he means Mulgrew is suddenly feeling his hamstring due to all the flack he s suddenly receiving ie .."er im not fit boss ..think ive done me hamster " (sod this im not playing ) .. Think Kevin Gallagher said something similar on the radio during the game that when you hit a bit of bad form suddenly players under pressure start collecting mysterious injuries . He named Mulgrew as one . Basically he cant take a bollocking and the pressures on so suddenly his hamstrings playing up I think Mowbray means !
-
Hughes and Faz? ..lets move on
-
That maybe so TS but just wondered if the crowd made their feelings known in public ..?
-
Wasnt at the game today due to work commitments .. those that were there ..any crowd backlash during/final whistle ? Usually a good indication of enough is enough .?
-
Hmm id question the lack of effort at times ..we only seem to put the effort in in the second half after we re usually behind and I presume a kick up the ass from the coaching staff! But Mowbrays players so Mowbray carrys the can.
-
No true ..but as I said in a previous post the players get an easy ride and going through the motions so f@ck um lets start naming names. If I had my way id wheel the manager and players into the Fox n Hounds after a game and let them hear some proper home truths
-
Maybe .. but even footballers from the Sunday League wouldn't keep making the same mistakes and lack of effort we see on some Saturdays !
-
Not defending Mowbray .. his players his tactics etc etc and captain of the ship but just think todays players can please their self and carry on as normal after half hearted performances apart from a few nasty comments on their social bloody media from fans who they then simply block. Wrapped in cotton wool . I wonder how they d perform if they only got a nominal 15% of their wage for starting a game ..60% for a draw and 100% for a win ..
-
Maybe a new tact from Mowbray ? Todays players get so much adulation 10 bet player of the week this ..Rovers player of the month that on top dollar at a mid table Championship club and going through the motions yet never suffer criticism. Once of a day a manager never went public on his players but in todays football the players seem to have the upper hand on managers. The manager loses his job when players underperform and cant be assed knowing they ll still be here next season. A manager cant win today. So why not go public and criticise ..nowt to lose ..he may actually get a tune out of them this way.
-
tbf Mowbray did go public on the rest of the defence last week on an interview on Radio Lancs . "don't care if defenders are scoring goals (Mulgrew and Bell I presume) their job is to stop goals and if they arnt doing that then they wont be playing next season " ..or words to that effect.
-
Shame Brereton wasn't chucked in the U-23 s right from signing (although questions would have been asked why a 7M players is playing with the U-23s!). Score a few goals ..confidence high and then throw him in for the remaining games of the season with (hopefully !) nothing to play for. Fans would have been eager to see this 7 M lad and probably would have cut him a lot more slack than he has got especially if he d chipped in with a few goals for the U-23s. Fans would have been a lot more patient im sure. One or two tweets from WHU fans watching last night saying they couldn't handle Brereton ..question is can TM handle him ?

Well after naming and shaming TM will look a bit stupid if he doesnt drop Raya now. . -

Raya definitely took a backwards step since the Rodriguez injury. -

He's hung a few out listening to his interview on Radio Lancs. Mulgrew certainly another. -

I don't know ..but whatever it is it doesn't look good .. -
It was also rumoured many moons ago that Stanley "pushed " for their Home games to be played on the same day as Rovers at home because they always thought they got more Burnley fans paying them a visit when they d no game compared to when Rovers didn't have a game. As i posted previously I don't see many Dads n Lads (or Mums) or families sat around me anymore .In fact thinking about it there's actually no kids travelling to home games via the Accy supporters coach either. Its the old school older generation who just renew and go. Its the younger generation they need to entice.

As long as the managers decision is final ive no qualms with input. Last thing we need is a Sarri /Kepa situation !
