  1. Sorry just seen this thread . Just said the same in the transfer window thread ..good start for the lad . Main concern is St.Mirren are becoming the whipping boys in the Scots Prem ..hope its the right environment for the lad to develop ..especially confidence wise .
  2. But just think of the four day boner youre going to have til the 31st Mark !
  3. In other news ..nice bit of play and assist from Brad Lyons to create the goal for St.Mirren v Hibs. Good start for the lad.
  4. I thought I saw him this morning in the gym at the Dunkenhalgh talking to Frank Lampard and Jodie Morris ..??
  5. Preferably before they leave !
  6. Mowbray not entirely ruled out replacements ..but sounds like they ll be on loan and have to be better than we have ? Fingers XD
  7. Maybe other positions already earmarked for future loan signings ? ? No question that we need a CB long term but a CB that's better than any we ve got now and on a permanent deal.
  8. Well you could have six CBs and still end up with all six injured. How many players for each position does a club have to carry to cover every eventuality. Liverpool lost all their CBs and had to draft in a midfielder to play CB ..Fabinho. It happens ..but you hope it doesn't !
  9. How long is a piece of string? Could say we need ten ..just in case.
  10. https://twitter.com/Rovers/status/1088420706189221888 TMs presser.
  11. TM - Downing 3 appearances in 28 .. not one to usually make the 18
  12. Mowbray not interested in a replacement for Downing ..hes happy with who hes got ..from the horses mouth at his pre game press conference.
  13. Sam Hart signs a one year extension at Rovers
  14. I didn't ..after you said it want anything worthwhile I decided not to ?
  15. Wasted 10minutes ?? Nothing worthwhile ?? how many minutes do we/you waste reading comments on here ?? Im sure you can give 10 minutes ?
  16. Or simply send an email with a PDF and the facility to print off your own ticket as you do with airline tickets.
  17. Just a little point to show maybe how much Rovers are a bit out of touch on fans ,travel to games, buses etc.etc. Rovers away travel pick up at Ewood and also pick up in Accrington (which is brilliant) but the away coach picks up at the Boars Head pub which for those that didn't know WAS the pub that the Accy branch of supporters used to meet and leave from. The Boars Head has now been SHUT for six years and are now flats ! Fans getting picked up there have to stand outside in all weathers waiting. The club even states … Departing from Accrington (The Boars Head) at 11.30 and Ewood Park (Darwen End) at 12pm. The Boars Head doesn't exist and anyone new to the area wouldn't have a clue where the bloody hell it is was. The Accy branch (30-40 people ) now meet at the Sydney St WMC ..im damn sure the club is oblivious to this .Why doesn't the Away travel pick up from here ? 500yards away from where they pick up now ..a place where people can have a drink prior to leaving and inside from the elements and a pub with Rovers connections. Cmon Rovers making an effort to connect with community ..
  18. Yep that's a good idea although whether the club would get involved in running coaches is debatable. Rovers used to subsidise I think many of the buses ran from in and out of the Blackburn area but they knocked that on the head hence the few that do run are independent. As for your views on the "get into schools and get um hooked young " I agree a lot may only go the one game but I know quite a few 30 yr olds who got hooked and are now taking their own kids . Its not an overnight thing ..its long term and if some do continue to go then its a success.
  19. On a side note ..Rovers seem to be one of the only clubs that DONT charge admin fees when purchasing Home match day tickets. Boro £2.50 Bolton £1.00 WBA £1.00 Norwich £1.50 all for booking over the phone or online and that does not include delivery . Hats off to Rovers on that score ..? Maybe not fleecing the fans as much as people think.
  20. sorry Blueboy ..my .."my feeling is its not an issue " was meant to mean that ive never heard anyone outside this messageboard actually complain about the surcharge so hence not a major issue. As Stuart states people seem happy to continue paying it. Im not for one moment saying the surcharge is right ..but that its seems to be very low down on the long list of gripes that fans have about rovers at the minute.
  21. And there you go ..exactly what me and others said months ago . Start with the kids and get them hooked.
  22. Believe me ...I don't want to be back on this ..but I really don't see the problem ..its there ..in this day and age of being able to buy a ticket via a pc ..phone ..there are ways to avoid the surcharge. My point I was stating is.. is this surcharge such a big deal amongst rovers supporters or just a handful of posters on a messageboard ? My feeling is its not really an issue.
  23. Is there any real proof that the post midday surcharge actually affects people willing to buy tickets ? The only place where ive actually heard a hoo ha about this surcharge is on here ? Im a season ticket holder who mixes in a decent cross section of Rovers fans in work and socially including the Accy supporters coach and not once has the conversation drifted to this surcharge ? People are aware of it but don't seem as irate or remotely bothered by it as some posters on here . For whatever reason the surcharge is there (and we are not alone in the EPL to implement a surcharge on match days ..Bradford a fiver ?) and the club documents this surcharge for all to see . Last night it looked like people were reasonably ok with buying tickets for 20 quid after missing out on the tenner for whatever reason.
