  1. Yeah about time ..lets hope it does him some good. More interested in how Chapman is doing to be honest.
  2. Now now are you to trying to belittle me and make me cry ?? ? Again BlooBoy its not all about you ! Whats insignificant to you as another person having to miss the game is probably very significant to them. Unfortunately I cant miss work too ..but im sure theres others who will now get to see the game who would have had to work Saturday afternoon.
  3. Relevant to the fact whatever kick off time is or whatever day someone somewhere will be unhappy ..like yourself And Meadows daughter is now going to have to miss Drama which shows however insignificant this is to you (but im damn sure it isn't to her ) or others that KO times will never suit everyone.
  4. Drama queen ! ? Everyone s situation is different .. and those who work Mon - Fri will probably look at your situation and think that's its irrelevant just as those who work 2-10 will think they re hard done too with the number of games changed to midweek for tv (which im told has no bearing on attendance numbers ?) You will never please everyone (btw im missing it through work too but that just how it is in an era when the working week isn't Mon - Fri like in the good ole days )
  5. Lets not forget Bowyer got to bring in 25 plus players too into Ewood ..even I would get three decent players out of that many ! W1 D1 L 1..GB
  6. The Curse of Merce ..
  7. So over 2.5 goals is todays bet Merce ?
  8. I also doubt the figures spun regarding average attendances are actually up ..can I say fake news ?.. Not too sure we can trust attendance figures when season ticket numbers are counted whether that person is actually there or not ..the empty seats at the Emptihad and various other sell out grounds are there for all to see . I'm calling it fake news Bb ..sod it !?
  9. Not necessarily barking up the wrong tree at all. In my opinion its a factor.Regardless of average gates across the country being up ..without the tv saturation gates would be even higher if people want to watch football. So to me its an issue. No incentive for people to get off their asses and watch a game when they can simply push a button and have a choice of whatever game they wish.
  10. My opinion BB ..I see empty seats at Ewood...lots.
  11. Ah ok il sit down..i was just going off what i see with my own eyes at games . And the empty cinemas bar 2 for 1 weds . Must just be a Rovers thing ..just a shit club eh ?
  12. Getting ready for when TM is sacked ..match day tickets are £5 (free before midday ) and the return of the so called missing 10000 fans ..not! (Cant fault the club for trying to move with the times though) Football as a "live " spectacle is a thing of the past now. We ve a generation of football fans that think a live game is one that's on tv. They ve no interest going to a ground to watch ..they ve no need to ..football on tv in the home ,pub ,tablet ..phone ..most important games can be picked up as a stream. That's live football. I look at the young adults sat around me and the majority of those were brought by their dads (and mums) as kids when football was less tv influenced and have now carried on either because of loyalty or habit. The next generation will be very thin on the ground. Football as a live event is dying out fullstop. Its like the cinema ..you can slash prices as much as you like ..deals etc but theres no real interest because what you want to watch is readily available elsewhere.
  13. Yep and scan your phone like you can at the airport.
  14. Apologies Ace ..he did indeed !
  15. Wouldn't touch Karanka always conflict with club owners ! (and hes never gained a promotion either )
  16. I think its going to take more than a change of formation to evolve our style of play ..its going to cost money. The players we have in certain positions now are simply not good enough to play a more ..footballing ..expansive style of play . Its there to see. If we want to compete consistently and be up in the top six positions next season better class of players are going to be required and that would be my main concern is whether we d have the funds to actually buy these players...regardless of whos the manager. At the moment we are a very mid table side ..which the majority on here thought we would be equating into a decent season on our return to the Championship. To go to the next level is going to take some big funding in my eyes.
  17. Sorry Merce ..cant agree with this bit of your post. If Mowbray was at fault for taking us down by one goal then he must get credit for getting us promotion. You don't just get lucky and amass 96 points with only 6 losses all season regardless of which league you are in with a manager who has no influence. It simply doesn't happen. If history says in your eyes Mowbray took us down then history also says Mowbray took us up. Sunderland will be romping it then this season …?
  18. sent you a message..
  19. 2 in the last three games ..just to keep us guessing throughout the summer on this thread ….Good un or Bad un ..?
  20. Not trying to negate the point just saying the game was on tv and available. I also went too and yes an early KO.
  21. Was the Swansea game not on BBC Wales ?
