  1. I think it’s probably more a case of he was the Big I am in the dressing room and after realisation/embarrassment of likelyhood of not going to play regular (fan criticism) he jumped as a reaction. IMO TM probably realised his influence and that embarrassment would turn to bitterness (may well have done) and he didn’t want that influencing moral of squad so actively showed him door when realised above. CM was a key popular figure so likely to influence team moral etc. *No influential player or captain wants to face criticism when that happens it’s embarrassing for all concerned. CM had no where to go...
  2. Not that it’s likely but do we have a recall option in the loan contract?? ie after 6 months. Same with the loans brought in by Rovers what are the terms. Full 12 months review after 6 etc recall options??
  3. Let’s hope he gives some game time to some of our youngsters
  4. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/august/mulgrew-makes-wigan-move/
  5. One injury away from a disaster is where we are at the end of this window. too many midfielders (goodness knows when chapman will get a game etc.) too many strikers *** too many players we can’t shift on contracts that shouldn’t have been given out 6 months ago by TM in Tony we trust
  6. Mulgrew as captain who wasn’t likely to start had to go. Embarrassing for the lad, dignity dictates he would never have been comfortable as a back up player/bench warmer. IMO TM was right to TRY and ship him out. Will be interesting for sure if it didn’t go through and not great for all concerned. Having said though a CB replacement should have been lined up.
  7. So TM will go with newly signed Johnson and not Bennet we will see. i agree with you though a great choice
  8. Highly unusual at this stage to not have any definitive names etc. Silence is intriguing
  9. Fear not we’ll sell Dack and Lenihan to raise funds.. be linked with a great signing and just miss out on it as the paperwork won’t be done on time ?
  10. IMO I might keep Leutwiler seeing we wouldn’t have another keeper ?
  11. So where are we next year if we remain with this squad and tick over 1) Goal keeper on loan returned. Sold our own young one. 2) Defender on loan from MC returned 3) CM year older and slower 4) DG year older 5) BD year fatter and slower ** youngsters coming of age?? im worried we’ll be in a far worse situation a year down line and in need of major squad overhaul.
  12. “Owners Venky’s remain committed to funding the Category One Academy, which requires funding of at least £3m a season to fulfil all the criteria.” LT loads of these sort of comments being added into LT articles today etc don’t expect any money being spent tomorrow on defence additions the excuses are well and truly being lined up and PR excuse show being put into motion https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17819755.rovers-draw-six-man-shortlist-under-23s-job/
  13. Lining up his excuses. What it really equates to is. We’ve spent all we’re spending, we’re too scared to ask for more as then questions will be asked of our performance and we might loose our secure job. Let’s tick along slowly on minimal expenditure and then expectations will be low and fingers crossed a miracle might happen and we might do better this season. Oh and don’t our pitches look great maybe fans /press/ won’t notice our lack of professional recruitment as our grounds look top of the range ?
  14. Could agree more. Great post. *** Scottish Winger???? Any details...
  15. He’s got a Silky touch, moves up and down.. tosin, tosin (couldn’t resist)
