  1. I would have preferred, “other”, on list of options. However, Ainsworth would be an intriguing choice. He could be a bust, but he could be just what the doctor ordered- a fan got the Rovers the PL trophy, maybe a fan could manage them well?
  2. Excellence all over the pitch by Rovers today. any need to worry about Dack?
  3. Great win, and confidence builder for Walton and young guys at the back
  4. Including today, our next 4 fixtures are vs teams that were relegated from PL since we were; all these are tough. To not pick up points today, we've got to do it next week, or the next, etc. how realistic is that? Might as well start today
  5. I love the poem. I am a new Rovers’ fan (2013). Here in Texas, I used to get FA Cup matches, which is where I first saw Rovers, vs ManC at Ewood, in a 1-1 thriller. Dann, Cairney, Rhodes, et. al., were exquisite players in the Blue & White. Sadly, not seeing players of their caliber now. Bennett, DG, & Downing should be our most consistent players, simply due to age & experience. I’m not sure why TM bet the farm on the young guns up front (yes I am- that nastiest of all words, potential); so far it hasn’t worked out, & frankly, if it doesn’t soon, I think TM will be out, & some other poor hapless wretch will have to start over. Today, I would gladly take a point- we’ve got to start somewhere. M’bro aren’t the class of the league; they can be had, but right now, we’re out of sorts and it’s hard finding 11 who are playing consistent enough to throw out on the pitch week after week. i want to see Rovers start moving up from 24th. A point today probably won’t do it, but it’s a point we don’t currently have.
  6. Agreed on Graham. He may be 34, he’s still valuable to the club. bring on M’bro.
  7. At least, we finally got on the board this season through our own efforts.
  8. If there’s any consolation, our League 1 opener was worse than this. its a long season, it’s just one game.
  9. We are in serious trouble the rest of the season, if we can’t beat Charlton.
  10. Or for Danny to be the hero
  11. It was a successful l conclusion to summer funsies... now the real thing begins. Before the home opener, methinks we’re gonna need another defender; maybe we can get a loaner.
  12. Have we helped our defending? No. Have we helped our scoring? Yes. Theres gonna be some high-scoring affairs this season, we will score in bunches possibly, but the better defending teams will have their way with us. Schedule-maker was nice to us in giving us a winnable opener, so, 2-1.
  13. I am just being honest about our plight. Who out there is available as manager that would improve our situation, as an evaluator of players, or from a strategical point of view, that we could get? If the owners don’t pony up 20 mil, 30 mil in additional debt, I don’t see a new manager being the answer.
  14. Hey they are free to spend more; I just don’t see it happening.
  15. We are 16th because we need better players. Owners are already losing money at a record level. I don’t see them spending more just to finish outside the playoff places. Changing from TM isn’t the answer, either.
  16. If Evans isn’t the first to go in the off-season, Conway will be.
  17. I’m going full-out, sunshine-pumping, and say 1-1. The defending will be much better. Rovers finish the season strong, it starts today at Villa Park.
  18. A 6'5" centre half & a better left back... Scott Dann addressed this need previously. I miss him
  19. I would think Conway, Smallwood & Whittingham are all on borrowed time,age-wise, & would have trouble competing at Championship level. Graham in shorter spurts is still profitable. any U23’s ripe for promotion to 1st team?
