As long as there’s a chance, I’m enthusiastic about this game. I have to go to work, but I will be able to see the first half before I go. Hopefully, we are still in it at HT, and I can sneak a glimpse at ESPN+ occasionally. Anxious, but excited, nonetheless!

Change of subject… I am hoping Brereton is interested in playing, and perhaps upping his marketability. He can use the club and the final game for that, if we win 2-1, and at least have a shot at playoffs, I think most of us will say bye, good luck to ye, ol’ boy. I trust Tomasson on this issue. If jdt doesn’t feel Brereton has a fire to play for the club (and, for himself) then sit him and let Leonard have his shot. I am interested in seeing 11 guys play their best in this finale.

We’ve scored 18 goals in our last 19 league games. I’m not counting on more than one goal, Rovers win, 1-0. But so will Sunderland at Deepdale. Congrats to Tony.

I would use same lineup we had on 4 March vs ShefU. They are all available, except Bucko. I would play Adam in his place, & hope for the best.

I’d take Bowler or Yates, either would start for Rovers. Madine isn’t popular with our fans I suppose but he would be a useful player. Blackpool have scored as many goals as Rovers.

I suppose I've given up the chase to the playoffs... Millwall scored at 2' at Blackpool, Tomasson is there with his kids. He doesn't look hopeful…

Goodness only knows what kind of hijinks & shenanigans we play vs Luton. what an upside down footie world we live in; Bournemouth, BHA & Brentford in the PL, & burnley going up. If there’s another “B” team added next season, maybe it will be our turn. Not betting on it, though.

Right; we have a lot of nice, inoffensive lads, who don’t have a fighters instinct. as much as I dislike Ash Barnes, we need somebody like his physicality- a nasty brute who likes no one.

I’m not so worried about the defending, as I am scoring. I’d say keep Brereton in the 11, and for sure keep Szmodics.

Off topic, but Sund & Mowbray are in playoff places. Man…

If todays list is any indication- JR-C, Brittain, Gally, Pickering, etc, we’ve got troubles enough. Maybe a couple of these can play. If Kaminski is healthy, I’d prefer him in this one. We will need MotM type performances from the Wharton’s, Thomas, & Travis. Brereton & Dacky will need to play better than they’ve done in a while.

Coventry; @PNE; burnley; Luton; @Millwall. Rovers couldn’t win last three games vs beatable teams. So, we have to find a way to beat 3 teams right around us, one team essentially already in playoffs (Luton) & a PL promoted team. I’d say 9 pts from those 5, we’re in. The chances of that are slim and none, and Slim is here in Texas.

As it stands, we’re out of top 6. Not sure we can climb back up. Dirty shame

I was gone today, but got to watch the final 30 min ESPN+. Since we’re still in playoff places (but goodness knows for how much longer) I’m trying to stay positive: We got a clean sheet. As for scoring, we have five more opportunities before seasons end. I’m not sure that’s enough opportunities. So much for staying positive.

I still think Tomasson is pulling off a minor miracle, having this bunch in one of the playoff places, this late in the season. I don’t know what will happen Saturday, this team is so hard to read. But, a comfortable win would cheer us all up immeasurably.

I would start Kaminski, the Wharton’s, & Thomas. Dropping Pears, Morton, Dolan, & Carter.

No, a point isn’t good enough, but I take it. We’re still in the playoff hunt, and our guys never gave up today. Surely, Leonard has earned more time, JR-C is valuable to this team. Szmodics did everything but finish. I am well pleased with the overall effort.
