  1. Tomasson can work on his bench, hopefully, sort out the future of several guys. If JDT stays 3+ years, there may not be many of the current squad remaining- except the ones he has brought in. As far as tonight, we need a win in a cup. Just win, baby.
  2. I’m a fan of Dacky; but as I said on another thread, after two massive injuries, he’s not the same player. If he is ever used, this is the game to do it. As far as Edun & Markanday, they need extended time. If they aren’t impressive vs hartlepool, they likely never will be.
  3. I am full of love… I love jdt, I love GB, I love this board, & everybody on it; I love Rovers. Arte et Labore.
  4. I wish I hadn’t lol’d at this, but it’s funny! 🤣
  5. Dominant. Tomasson’s blue & white army marches through Wales
  6. I don’t understand it, but I’m loving this!
  7. Rovers are certainly competitive. So far this season, I love our new player acquisitions.
  8. Surprised to see Wigan out to an early lead at Norwich.
  9. Any way I consider it, jdt should pick a strong 11. I hope Dacky gets at least 60 sometime soon. But, after the two injuries he’s had, no way will he ever be as good as he used to be. 1-1.
  10. For me, bringing in these two players today says the owners are committed to putting players on the pitch that can hopefully enhance our chances to win, right now. We’ve got youth, we’ve got transfers… I can’t complain that nobody at the club cares about fielding as good a product as possible.
  11. My son is a huge Liverpool fan, as well. He cheered when we got Elliott on loan (to give him more playing time), and hopes Morton performs for us… after all, it just stands to benefit Reds, in the long run.
  12. Tomasson: “Overall, it’s a great win for us to get the project started.” This is about the 6th time he has called the club a project. He’s right, I suppose, when he refers to Rovers as a project; but, it doesn’t sound very endearing or personal about the club. I guess I won’t say anything bad about him, if he leaves us after 3-4 years, & we’re in much better shape, possibly, in the PL. I seriously doubt he came to Rovers to retire. Arguably, that’s all Kenny ever wanted, he was a Red for life when we got him, he went back there, and we still love him. I just hope that’s how Tomasson’s chapter of the clubs history reads.
  13. I have to show my game shirt today: Guess what, I’m wearing it again vs Swans!
  14. YES, off to a rip roaring start, under Jon Dahl Tomasson!!! Thanks to Ayala, Buckley, Travis, et. al. job well done, lads!!!
  15. Is Ayala looking good today- apparently, he’s not off to goodness knows where?
  16. Looks good, makes sense. Hopefully, points follow. How will we react to a manager who does things that makes sense?
  17. I can’t wait for the season to start, and for jdt to pull Rovers fans up into the clouds again, and have a team to shout about this season. It’s a long way from Waco to Ewood, but I will try to make my victory shout heard there, 2-1. COYB!!!
  18. I like Dacky, but Rothwell had 11 assists last season. We will miss him, imo. Definitely too good to lose on a free. But, so were Nyambe & Lenihan.
  19. Yes, I’m pleased to see Britain score in his first attempt. Now, if we can get a couple more like him…
  20. It was a early-bird kickoff for me in Texas, but I managed to get up in time for BB-D goal. I take a draw vs Scottish champs, at their place, all summer long. Decent showing, but I still believe we’re two defenders short, and attacking midfielder.
  21. Yes, I am afraid we are staring at the bottom third of the table, with the personnel on hand. But I am more afraid we will not see more than 2-3 additions- at least, by the start of the season.
