The bottom line for me… Tomasson is an improvement over “Shrug” Mowbray. The players we have now, as contrasted to who we had in August 2022… I think we got a couple of strong acquisitions that are a better fit to Rovers, and we’ve had a couple of guys develop from our Academy. I’m looking forward to the weekend, and the rest of the season. This journey so far is enjoyable, I can’t wait to see what develops.

They’re sitting 19th, but their players aren’t that bad. I guess they feel Styles can help them into playoff places by seasons end.

It is alarming to me, too. I think the only way he considers it, is if Rovers promote. What are the chances of that, <15%?

Option to buy on loaners is good. I’m content, I guess. I will be moreso, when Scotty Wharton returns, & Britain.

I thought Newcastle got 20%?

I definitely prefer to keep him. I think most of our fans do too, we just don’t want to see him walk, Ala, Nyambe, Rothwell, Lenihan

I worry… I worried about Nyambe, Lenihan, & Rothwell, too. I won’t bother to read back over 700 pages of this thread, but somebody told me not to worry, we wouldn’t lose him on a free. yeah. Right. Stuff that doesn’t happen at responsible clubs, seems to happen at ours all the time.

Solid enough, if we don’t lose Brereton on a free next year.

Re: ESPN+, You & me both. I got it after Christmas, kinda a gift to myself. I think we got 7 Rovers games from January on, we lost all but one of them.

This was my first game of the season to watch (ESPN+), it was well worth the wait. The whole squad works their tails off for 90+, I cannot find anything to complaint about. Arte et Labore. Hyam… worth whatever we paid. Maybe more. A. Wharton… it’s all already been said. I know he won’t keep this up for 38 more games, but what a joy to watch. Carter… we would be saying more about him, if Wharton hadn’t played. A very solid performance. BB-D, what a finish. Dacky’s pass was perfect. Tomasson did a great job of putting 11 on the pitch, & timely subs. I am looking forward to Bristol City, for sure.

I cannot complain about a 1-0 lead. Tangerines are a handful, though. Our defending has been up to the challenge.

We haven’t scored in three games, and seemingly half the team will be missing out on this one. It’s time to see Tomasson’s coaching acumen shine, 1-2.

We certainly don’t need him poaching any of our midfield- we don’t have enough experienced bodies, as it is.

I agree, as he apparently will not re-sign with us. I hope it happens. I’m just afraid our folks botch this, and he leaves on a free next year.

When you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. I am afraid we will get the same as what we got for Rothwell, Lenihan, & Nyambe.

We know what’s going to happen with loaners- they return from whence they came at seasons end. Not the best way to roadmap longterm success.

We have had a lot of nice, inoffensive fellows for sometime. Junkyard dogs needed, imo.

Footie is a funny game. Zaha is rated every season as a mind-blowing striker transfer, when in reality, he has put in 377 appearances to score 76 goals at Palace. While Gally has scored 34 goals in 161 for us. Usually not in a starting role. Gally should be an attractive option for some clubs (certainly not PL clubs).
