  1. Yes, with the exception of BB-D, this looks like the youth group at church.
  2. This lineup today… Tomasson’s pregame remarks, are probably along the lines of, “go out & have fun, lads. Oh, and complete a pass or three, and no red cards. Who knows? We might even win!” 😂
  3. The next Rovers game I get on ESPN+, is vs Blackpool. I hope Rovers give a good account of themselves, Blackpool are playing fairly good.
  4. Maybe so, but playing a few young & hungry guys, should be enough to get the desired result. But, just barely. Cmon, you Blues!
  5. This is something to be discussed. Werent Mark Hughes’ Rovers known to be… shall we say, physical? I bet Bradford play us this way today. Rovers lad ms from what I see are generally nice, inoffensive fellows.
  6. I cannot logically see any way Bradford win this game. So, there is a chance they do…
  7. All this adds up to one thing: When he finally discovers the owners never had any intention of opening their wallet for better players, Tomasson is going to pull a Lambert and abandon ship.
  8. Mercer, I agree with all you say. If we KNEW we could get £15 mil for Brereton-Diaz right now, and merely invest half of that in bringing in 2-3 solid players, I am “for” it.
  9. Excellent review, Miller. those players useful to the future of the team amounts to four or five. Right now: This team is crying out for at least two attacking MF, a left back, two more centre-backs, and a striker.
  10. Britain is a player. Any other positives from todays mess?
  11. Alright, Morton, give us a shove in the right direction
  12. You are right… after a performance like Reading, the next game says as much about the head coach as it does the players.
  13. Killing time before Rovers. Watching Tots/wolves. For all Kane’s great years at Tots, they have very little hardware to show for his time there.
  14. Sometimes, when we are despondent about the outcome of a game, we are pleasantly surprised. I hope that’s what develops today.
  15. Yes, this is bad timing, against a tough team, at a tough venue. We are beat up, and outright missing a piece or two to the puzzle. If our lads give a good effort, and still lose, I’m not cursing Tomasson, griping, or crying in my beer afterwards.
  16. If we got those three players… we’ll, let’s just say I’d be doing gymnastics that ive never done before!
  17. Hopefully, our last outing spoke volumes to Tomasson in terms of who is reliable. I do not want to be dismissive of anybody, as it’s a long season, but the Vale experiment is hopefully at an end. But we have others up front, it’s our defending that really has me worried. I’m not expecting a win on Saturday, but I do expect a strong showing with lots of effort. That’s all I’m asking.
  18. I believe most of the roster can keep us close to playoff places this season. But Tomasson needs to bend Broughton’s ear… if we are serious about being promotion contenders, defensive reinforcements are needed, and right now.
  19. This may be our toughest road game of the season. I feared it going into the season, and fear it more after the wipeout in Reading. Obviously, sans Wharton, we have woes in the backfield. I am happier with Phillips playing than Pickering, but not truly happy with either. Strangely, Morton & Edun square peg/round hole might be better off. I think we score, but not enough, 2-1.
  20. He’s right. This could very well be our worst effort of the year. Even the best stink up the joint occasionally. Liverpool has had two of ‘em, back to back. It’s only August, let’s forget it, and move on. Big game awaits us at ShefU. I dare say our lads will play much better.
  21. Ballgame. Honeymoon is over. Lots of hard work to be done by all.
  22. Both sides have injuries, yet it’s the team leading the Championship that pays for their inadequacies first.
