  1. Anything else (for reasons other than injury), and I would assume Mowbray isn’t interested in winning. I really haven’t given the guy a bad time, but it’s getting very hard to defend anything he does anymore.
  2. If we could pull of consecutive wins (Blackpool, @P’boro), this would put us firmly in the race for a playoff spot. Will this happen? Nah. But I will say, 2-1 on Saturday. COYB!
  3. Take your choice, Dack, Dolan, or B-D off the bench to make it 1-1, salvage an otherwise dreary match.
  4. This is a good point, as we are abysmal scoring pk’s & totally inept on corners.
  5. Yeah, we’ve got a patchwork squad for sure… Tony will resort to square peg/round hole philosophy, & bemoan our lack of success postgame. Heck, he doesn’t even have to think up a new speech, he’s got that one down Pat! 😆
  6. I know I get this game on ESPN+. Well worth the $7.35/Mo I pay, when I figure in all the college sports I can watch. I went to a smaller university (Stephen F. Austin, Nacogdoches, Texas), I can watch most of their football (collegial tackleball, to most of my English friends 😁) & basketball.
  7. I was unaware of Pike’s injury, thanks for the update. We are painfully thin on defense. I picked this 1-1, if we get this result, I won’t complain.
  8. Dan Pike recalled from Fylde. He’s not a natural centre-back, but with our troubles, he might be on the bench this weekend.
  9. Back to the injured list… Can we assume Nyambe, Edun, Deyo, & BB-D will play? I’m not sure if we can assume or infer anything.
  10. I just read “Mowbray’s injury update”… Eight names are on it. Only a couple of them look likely to play. Ayala, warmups with team; Markanday, with physios; Khadra on grass; Lenihan, with physio’s. At this moment, we have ONE fit centre-back. This is not very encouraging news.
  11. So glad to see Dolan have an impact for England. We probably need a point to stay in the top 6, as M’bro likely wins at Peterborough, and we only have 2 pts over them on goal diff. Hoping & praying that carries over vs Coventry, I will say, 1-1.
  12. I will say 6.5… I was genuinely glad when we got him. He had a knack for getting teams promoted, or being in position for same. TM obviously knows talent, especially bringing in older guys & squeezing 1 or 2 more years out of them, and in development of younger players, and finding great loaners. As a tactician, he’s a real head-scratcher. if we stay in playoff places, it is more a case of “in spite of him”, than “because of him.” He had a great chance to win undying devotion from our fandom from @Luton to Bristol, a run of nine games; unfortunately, we got 6 points from those nine. Poor, by any measurement. Give him a barbecue testimonial dinner, and a hearty, “thank you”. At this point, I would not be interested to re-sign him. Only his 2nd promotion at Rovers would merit that.
  13. If/when we break from TM, I would take Sami Hyppia. Great footballer, and he has won a couple of titles, albeit, at a lower level.
  14. I can’t say; but watching our performance in the first half, I got the feeling our players just were not excited to be in the position of chasing promotion. Lifeless, dull, and not at all prepared to boss a side in the bottom four on the table. Really puzzling. But, a definite lack of leadership and fire on the touchline.
  15. We’re definitely not a side seeking promotion,. it’s doubtful we’re even a playoff side. merry early christmas, Royals
  16. Kaminski, again. Reading his lips, exhorting teammates, “cmon, c’mon…”
