  1. Now, fight like two cats in a sack for 15 min to keep the three points…
  2. Meanwhile, Millwall has done practically nothing. Makes one wonder what could happen if Rovers were serious about winning.
  3. BB-D needs to start increasing his goal tally, otherwise, we will be wishing we had the £12 mil offered. Sadly, another player we lose, without getting anything in return. I will go with SCW’s score; I will say Gally with the winner, 2-1, good guys.
  4. As a relative newcomer to English footie, I’m guessing we don’t have the midfielders to play a 4-4-2?
  5. I can’t say I’m surprised 0-0, HT. Rovers get ‘em in 2nd half. Sunderland levels it
  6. Watford/Sunderland on ESPN+, it will be interesting to see if ol’ Tony can solve them as we did. Oops, Watford goes ahead
  7. Exactly. Our U21’s need points. I would hate to see them get relegated from PL2.
  8. Even in Texas, we have heard about turd morgue
  9. I love our back three (or four, depending on the formation), and I have a bit more confidence in the midfield. BB-D to find the back of the net, & another goal from an unlikely source, 1-2, COYB!
  10. Absolutely thrilled I was so wrong (1-2 prediction)
  11. I got the previous two Rovers games on ESPN+; sadly, not today. I get Preston/Burnley
  12. This game is a tremendous challenge. Getting some defenders back, we will need them. The midfield is where we need the most improvement, imo. Another of our toughest foes, it’s at home, but I am afraid that’s not enough, 1-2.
  13. I don’t have a “vote” in this discussion. But, as an American, I think it respectful fans could come to a public place and offer silent prayer, or a minutes silence/reflection. She was a fine lady & leader, served a long time with dignity, & honored her country well.
  14. So, Wharton & Ayala back in training, & Szmodics cleared to play. That’s a huge boost to our defending, & gives us an option in midfield. This might be our best squad yet. The heck with it, if we’ve got any hopes to be in playoffs this season, this is one we’ve got to win. 1-3. If it is played.
  15. This Mola must be the footie equivalent of Chuck Norris. Interviewer: “Mola, what position do you play?” Mola: “All of them.”
  16. Agreed, 15 years is a long time.
  17. From an American point of view… my last year to buy season tickets for University of Texas football (collegial tackleball, ha!) was 2015. I think they were $450 for six games. I live 100 miles from the stadium. It got to where it wasn’t fun anymore. Most of my friends who I had been going to games to see, had got too old, no longer cared as much, etc. I’m still a fan, I just don’t go to the stadium. They don’t miss me, they sell 98,000 tickets a game, regardless of whether I’m there, or not. So, I entirely understand anybodys reasons for not going… money, time, time away from family, etc. No, I wouldn’t go this weekend if you paid me (Texas/Alabama). Texas is going to get a royal butt-kicking, and I don’t really care to witness it in person.
  18. Correct! January 1, 2007, Rovers gave them a 3-0 thrashing, courtesy of Heskey og, Matt Derbyshire’s strike at 58’, & Benni McCarthy’s Pk at 76’. The good ol’ days under Mark Hughes…
