  1. Rovers Finally started winning possession, still struggling to get a shot on goal. Defending not bad.
  2. I’m looking forward to seeing what this lineup has today; Elliott is on a pace to average a goal/assist a game, he’s fun to watch, BB improving, JR-C is the man who seemingly can play anywhere, etc. Get a point today... that would definitely be an improvement over last season.
  3. So, if Douglas & Bell are back in training, can we expect to see JR-C at left back?
  4. We loved our visit to Ewood. The club treated us like royalty- two middle-aged Texans allowed to ramble all over the ground, dressing rooms, managers suite, 1875 boardroom, & hospitality area. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip... unless Simon Garner or Derek Fazackerley had been on hand to guide us!
  5. Last fall when the wife & I visited the Madejski (sp?) to see Rovers play, the bus dropped us off in basically an industrial park- Costco, etc. there was one little strip of green we walked to the stadium. Looked too much like many of our American grounds.
  6. I’m reading Johnson, Douglas, & Bell. It’s a start...
  7. Exactly, it would be nice to keep ‘em separate.
  8. Beautiful, great result today at a Ewood. Nice going into the break with 4 points from 6.
  9. BB, helping his team & easing the fans angst. I’m very happy
  10. Some excellent scoring opportunities that half, need to finish in the 2nd half, because I believe we will get more
  11. Even so, I’m thinking this is a 3-2 type of game, def not 1-0
  12. I feel encouraged, looking at our lineup.
  13. “... a defence worthy of the Alamo...” As a Texan I take offense to that! ?
  14. With 12 guys out vs Boro, & still getting a gutty draw, I don’t think the attitude of our players is giving their best effort. After the break, I hope there isn’t an overconfidence borne of getting key players back. The team still has to work hard, to get any positive result. Somebody said earlier two points at Ewood this week isn’t enough; we’re 17th; a point tomorrow won’t even get us to 16th. Hopefully, we see Rovers get all 3. This fixture 10 months ago saw us win, 2-1, on goals by Armstrong & Lenihan. I would gratefully take the same result tomorrow.
  15. Man, I understand & empathize with you. I keep wanting to get iFollow, but I tell myself (lies), “just wait, things will get better, spend money then.” I basically gametrack on BBC or LT, read comments here & “the other” Rovers board, then watch the highlights later (if any). Its not getting harder being a Rovers fan; but it is hard wanting to spend money on ‘em.
  16. Rovers are way overdue for a home win. No dire predictions from me, but I’m afraid I’m not eating sunshine/crapping rainbows, either. Not with the casualty list we have. 1-1, we’ll get ‘em next time.
  17. Today, I saw enough from our team they have fight, and they haven’t “quit” on Mowbray. it was just a point, but I think a significant point, vs a top-5 side. I believe we’re going to climb up the table; no, I have no way of telling the future, as I’m not a prophet. But, we are about to get significant help back in the squad, and we are looking at a run of winnable games. As I said earlier or on another thread, if Rovers haven’t made progress towards a playoff place by Boxing Day, I will listen to & have some empathy with the “Mowbray out” crowd.
  18. A point, and fairly won. I will gratefully take it. Warnock was building an attack on the gk he didn’t want, and frustrated in his attempt. Pears, MotM ?
  19. I can’t wait to read comments if Pears keeps a clean-sheet, lol
  20. For all the talk about what a genius Warnock is, I would’ve expected them to score 2 or three on us already. It appears our makeshift defending is holding up fairly well.
