  1. My heart bleeds for them...Being upset about a tiny amount of stick for playing professional football....They should try working a proper shift at a real job for minimum wage (which is what most of them would be doing), then come back and see if they still want to complain. Although as someone else pointed out, this is being done by Waggott to try and deflect attention so probably best not rising to it as a fan base
  2. I can't get even fathom how spoiled and out of touch you have to be to complain about atmosphere in the stands when you're being paid (very very well) to kick a ball around for a living. People paying their hard earned money would give anything to pull that shirt on once and step out at Ewood and they're being slagged off because they've voiced a little bit of displeasure after 14 years of shit. And once again, if they want more people in the stands, look at the prick setting the prices.
  3. Players complaining in a fans meeting about Ewood lacking home advantage is hilarious given a) the "product" on the pitch and b) the fucking moronic CEO sat there who sets ticket prices at astronomical levels....
  4. I would use HOF interchangeably with financial controller, largely dealing with day to day finance/accounting operations. FD should (in most properly run organisations..) be a more strategic role, whilst retaining ultimate responsibility for the finance function.
  5. I might be wrong, but isn't this part of what went on with O'Brien. We have to have agreed terms of a contract with the player which will come into force if we execute the option? Not that there's any way we will be spending £5.5m on a striker in the summer, regardless of how he performs.
  6. However shit and injury prone he seems to be, it's a massive risk to loan him to a relegation rival. Maybe they rate him that little...
  7. That options to buy price makes literally zero sense. It's so nonsensical it can't be true...wait this is Blackburn Rovers... If we were pushing for promotion then perhaps it would be realistic - fire us into Prem, take a punt he can step up. Scrambling around to stay in the league? In what world do we spend that sort of money in the summer?
  8. I think loyalty bonuses are perfectly fair. It's Rovers that want rid of him. He has a 5 year employment contract that the club are wanting to break early
  9. More Premier League children on loan to help us in our relegation fight - wonderful...
  10. This is the massive, almost insurmountable problem we are up against. The remaining supporter base, on the whole, are willfully ignorant of the last 14 years of shit this club has gone through behind the scenes. Most of the fans (this message board aside) who are aware of the dark forces at play have long since voted with their feet/wallets
  11. This club continues to explore new depths of ineptitude. It’s genuinely embarrassing to support Rovers at this stage. What is the point? We’re just a husk that simply “exists” now. Until they fuck off through a sale (not going to happen) or forced into administration (hopefully one day) we’re just in a managed decline to the depths of the football league, with ever smaller crowds (being fleeced for 400 quid a season), rattling around in a decaying 30k stadium. Tragic doesn’t even cover it.
  12. This is what we need, rampant speculation...You haven't a clue what he might be thinking or what went on last night. Could just as easily say, he's 19, might have asked them to throw in £100k FIFA points last minute...
  13. For most of the game sounded like there’s about 700, not 7,000
  14. Telalovic hat trick to finish it off, that’ll do me
  15. Can’t wait for all our Welsh friends to return to this thread post game…
  16. The state of BBC wales presenting. It’s like watching Gavin and Stacey. Genuinely just went with the following sentence “fair play, to be fair…”
  17. We’re letting an incredibly agricultural, 4th division team run rings round us. We’re literally the ideal team to play. “Only won 4 times away from home all year, rock up at Ewood and play yourself into form. Added bonus is you’ll see Rovers play some lovely passes in midfield as you roll them over”
  18. We are so shite. It’s this year or next year for the trip back to League 1
  19. Fairly sure LET comments is 50% club plants and 50% genuine mental illness
  20. Fundamentally, if 75% of the money was to be reinvested in the playing staff, selling him is the right call (for the right fee) under the "trading model". We'd be much better served signing proper strikers/goalkeepers. However, we know the whole amount will be pocketed to cover losses and just signal the further dismantling of our club as we continue the slow, painful slide to League 1.
  21. Regardless of the current shape of club, why would anyone be getting excited about playing a 4th division side on a Monday night? It’s such a non-event other than the fact they’re selling 7,000 tickets, not the 500 they would have sold pre Hollywood…
  22. There's loads of old clubs, with a long history of mediocrity (bouncing around the lower tiers of the EFL). Being founded fairly early doesn't make them particularly special. You've been plucked from 16 years pottering around the National League for the purposes of a reality TV show, so what Abbey said is factual. Popped on to a Wrexham forum and saw some slagging off of our crowds...not a hard google to see what Wrexham averaged pre-Deadpool...
  23. The “Leo” point might be flawed but the poster in question does defend Wahlstedt no matter how many mistakes he makes. Apparently he was brilliant against Watford despite directly throwing away all 3 points… Anyway, irrelevant ultimately. They’re both crap
