[Archived] Pro Evoloution Soccer 5
Ste B replied to a topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
Bought it today, mainly because of the Online Play option, so i'm not bothered about if its not a big step up from the last version (which I didnt get, as I only tend to upgrade every 2 versions). Anybody know where to get a cheap network adapter now !!! and.. who fancies setting up an online league ? -
[Archived] The New Fifa
Ste B replied to Cocker's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
The PSP "updated" squads are a joke, no Nelsen, Kuqi or Bellamy, Mickey Gray as a right midfielder. I thought the FIFA series were supposed to be realistic. That and the gameplay doesnt appear to be that clever. Balls going about 2 foot over the line, the game continuing, but the camera getting confused. -
Which idiot cant spell BRIDGE then scott ? BRDIGE indeed.

Except to do a beamback, Rovers will need well over 2000 to turn up to make it pay its own way. Most people will be watching it on Al-Queda television in their local pub.
-
Its nothing new, why do you think we don't use the Rovers crest at all, or print the fixtures any more. ??

We signed him for 200k from Huddersfield. Think he had a bad injury early on, either that or he was just crap. -
[Archived] Poll - Falling Attendances.

Just as you were getting totally disillusioned with the predictable nature of modern football, up pops Jean-Paul Kamudimba Kalala to cheer at least me up by scoring the winner against the mighty Spurs. So its not all bad. -
I saw his interview where he congratulated the England cricket team. Talk about talking through gritted teeth, he just could not sound sincere. Fortunately the team and its fans have been far more gracious in defeat. As for those who think the Ashes is a glorified friendly, not as big as a world cup or whatever, well they just dont understand. The Ashes is easily the biggest thing in English and Australian cricket, and whether at the time its the best or worst 2 sides in the world, then each game is played with the same intensity, and has been for many a year.

YESSSSSS you can stick your 5-0 up your... And Poor old farmer Giles gets his highest ever score as well. Farcical end to the game though, if this was boxing a decent ref It would have been stopped at the end of the innings. Aussies taking the light on every opportunity, You've got 11 batsmen scared of the dark and Watson who thinks he has seen a ghost.
-
KP has ended up as Englands top scorer in the series. Selections totally vindicated.. Could be the END for Ian bell though who, other than old trafford has managed to get out cheaply on too regular a basis.
-
Of course you are not like that at all Reasonable progress made in the second session, Aussies will be happier with the first one, and the next 90 minutes could dictate what type of game we will be getting.

NICE ?? FFS.. so its nice to see thousands killed ??? Idiot.

[Archived] Playstation 3
Ste B replied to laughatthedingles's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
Yeah, but one of those graphics cards will cost more than your console, so unless you are one of those gamer freaks who want to squeeze and extra 1fps out of whichever Doom clone is popular then a console is a better bet. You dont get the compatibility issues with consoles that you get with PC games, so when the games pass testing you dont need 6 different patches, driver updates etc to play the game. Each new generation of console brings new entertainment features into the home at a reasonable price, without the massive investment required into making your pc perform the same. -
Agreed. In times of crisis such as this, its pathetic to try to score cheap political shots.

Floppy, you really are the master.

Floppy, I know you are upset because somebody threw a traffic cone, but blaming Wes for that is going a bit too far.

Owen has agreed a 4 year deal with Newcastle.

Really ? I thought he was a Freddie Mercury tribute act..

Obviously you haven't done any spelling lessons. I also suggest you study our posting guidelines a bit more before your next post, or it will be your last.

I'm only guessing at the price given THIS LINK TO CHELSEA PRICING and that Sunderland and West Broms away trips are 48. Villa must be taking a larger allocation, as there are some 45 quid tickets in the lower tier SEE HERE I find it quite amazing that there are NO CONCESSIONS for the upper tier. ALL tickets for Sunderland fans are 48 quid. SEE HERE

Thats exactly what I am doing instead of Bolton. Cost 70 quid for a long weekend, and it will still be on the box over there. As for Chelsea.. at a suggested 48 quid a ticket then a "Boycott the Bridge" campaign sounds a good idea. -
It should have been all over by now. We have totally dominated 3 tests apart from 3 sessions where the Aussies managed to show some fight. We should have done better at Lords, but McGraths spell was simply out of this world. As a captain Ponting has been totally clueless when its been going wrong. When its been going ok for him, then Lee and Warne have made him look reasonably competant. Warne is quite obviously the best cricket brain in their team, and should be captain. If it wasnt being for the drugs ban, then he probably would already be. Whereas, Vaughan has looked calm throughout as captain except his batting deserted him when we needed it most. This final test is going to be a great test of character and we need some of Tim Flowers famous bottle, but whatever happens, this is the best test series I can EVER remember, do not be surprised it this turns into another 1981 headlingley Botham/Willis type performance. As for this test, if Simon Jones would have been fit then I would suggest that we would have faced a total of around 50 less to win. Good job that the ICC laws allow people to nip out for a 10 minute rest after a hard spell.

Thank f*** for that. Another incredibly tense finish. Perhaps we need goverment health warnings for this series.

Newcastle 0 ManU 2 Will Souness survive another couple of games before his return to Ewood, or will we be seeing Shearer as caretaker manager.
