  1. there were rumours/stories at the weekend that Travis had been offered £30K/week by another Championship club
  2. It will likely be £20K - £25K basic & the rest in bonuses/appearance fees etc Which although a ridiculous amount, these are the figures on offer to a seasoned Championship performer from most teams in the division Matt Grimes for example is on £35K/week at Coventry (which will also probably be a basic of circa £25K/week, and bonuses making up the rest
  3. Also did make me chuckle that Jackson wrote "There are also reservations about the direction in which Rovers are travelling with fears over 'managed decline', as described by one source." I wonder if his source on this one, is multiple people on this forum?
  4. Only a measly £20K/week. Surely will go down as the deal of the century
  5. Shows exactly what Nixon's opinion counts for doesn't it
  6. It was probably Pasha, with Waggott used as the useful human shield
  7. Out strongest starting lineup for the U21s in my opinion would include Michalski, Tyjon, Montgomery, Batty, Duru, & Boggan (who are all still considered U21 players). Given first team call ups, then O'Grady-Macken, Goddard, Olson & Pratt would also come into the thinking of many. Obviously some of those mentioned above were with the first team (due to the first team being underfunded), but some of the more physically developed played ie Pratt may have been useful against a team of adults from the 5th tier. Mafoumbi would be no where near our strongest 11, Joseph I am not sure but I think is injured, haven't seen that he has been involved for either U21s or U18s during pre season (although there has been limited reported of both teams), as far as I know the same also applies to Mansbridge, Leeming & Holt. Re Joseph, (1 sub appearance for the U21s aside), he has also not played above U18s level, so expecting him to have an impact against a National League team might be a leap too far for him at present
  8. Isn't Sheaf essentially in the same position as Travis? (out of contract at the end of the season, not signing a new contract, and wanted by clubs higher up the ladder?). Coventry like to sign replacements before selling, (Kessler-Hayden whilst they still have Van Ewijk), and also like to have strength in depth I would personally see Travis & Grimes as the 2 main men out of what would be left should Sheaf be sold Edit - Sheaf is injured at the moment anyway
  9. I'm not sure they would even be aware if we were relegated
  10. It says "they aim to bolster the attack", it means "right winger "(as per Ismael at the weekend, stiker is not mentioned 😞
  11. I think i originally had de neve next to him
  12. Toth, Miller, Tavares - £1M at most each (no way with all the cuts we paid £2M up front for Tavares, its will be at most half initially) Hyam - was it £2.5M? Ribeiro, Tronstad - free Hedges £600K Ohashi - low 6 figures (so no more than £0.5M Mc Loughlin, Cantwell, De Neve - £0.5M each So somewhere under £9M, for the first 11 Gueye £1M - £1.5M Alebiosu - £0.5M Pickering £600K O'Riordan £0.5K Forshaw - free Kargbo -£1M Henriksson - £750K Pears £500K Wharton, Buckley, Travis, Carter, Montgomery, Tyjon, Michalski - youth And probably less than £14M for the whole squad
  13. Boro made 5 changes from Saturday's game, but kept the same front 3, & 2 out of the 3 starting centre backs. They did change out their keeper and central midfield though
  14. Fixed it for you 😉 The remit is not to improve, just to cut costs
  15. Correction, Doncasters 2nd 11 (they made 11 changes) are beating a fairly strong Boro (including Brittain)
  16. I do find it odd that Mullarkey-Matthews was (for whatever reason) favoured over Tyjon on the bench this weekend but isn't involved in any regard this evening, with Buckley coming back into the team despite being unwanted
  17. U21s lost 2-0 to Brackley Match Report A start for the (ESC forum discussion) legend that is Mafoumbi - he didn't score & was replaced by a left back (Pates) after an hour
  18. In the build up Montgomery will overlap, Miller will take up a right centre back role in a back 3, & Henriksson will move inside to support Tyjon & Gueye Or at least that will be the intent
  19. I genuinely think its a stamina thing, he looks unstoppable for 15 or 20 minutes then fades If that is the case, then starting him is not an option
  20. O'Riordan on the bench this evening - according to comments on twitter they have started their reserve side with 11 changes since their win on Saturday won 4-0 - O'Riordan came off the bench for the final 12 minutes with the score at 2-0 (Callum Brittain played the full 90 for Boro)
  21. 5-0 Rovers, big Mak to open the scoring with his left arse cheek I may have had a cocktail or 2 in the sun this afternoon
