  1. His official team photo - https://www.rovers.co.uk/teams Unless he shaved it all off and looks like one of the coneheads?
  2. I noticed he was in there, but Tuffys job change happened over a month ago, so Lowe is still like Schrodinger's first team coach in my eyes Unfortunately that staff page has always been badly maintained. It had Ryan Kidd as U18 assistant manager for most of last season too, despite it being Tuffy, yet other positions seem to get updated almost straight away Obviously if Lowe was previously removed, and then re-added, it paints a picture as to developments though
  3. Was Lowe removed from that list & then re-added? or just never removed in the first place? https://www.rovers.co.uk/club/staff/ It may just be out of date as It also still shows Tuffy as U18s manager, even though he is now U21 assistant manager
  4. Dunn tuns 17 before the end of August (if not already). Eze turns 17 in early September
  5. He does, although Michalski did have a contract to 2027 before that renewal But yes, I expect we will see a few if the up & coming youngster signed up for as long as possible to show how our contract woes are behind us, at least until they are not 😉 What are the chances of Tyjon, Dunn & Silver Eze also within the next month?
  6. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/12/nick-pens-new-rovers-deal-/
  7. I have a leaked image of the budget for a winger But the good news is that Pasha currently has his fingers down his throat trying to increase it
  8. Pears, Buckley & JRC were all signed up to decent contracts before Venkys curbed their spending (even more) during the summer of 2023, so that's almost certain that cost is the main driver to then being pushed out rather than a desire to improve upon them For that matter so were Travis, Hyam, Brittain, Tronstad, Wharton, Carter & even Hedges The only anomalies in that regard have been renewals for Szmodics, Adam Wharton, Pickering & Ribeiro (half of who are no longer here), and the signing of Cantwell
  9. Sounds like Bradford will be fielding a rotated team too Alexander added: “I believe we’ve got more than 11 good players. We’ll have to see the physical output from Saturday and the condition of those who played. “But I think we’ve got good players ready to come into the team and help with the performance. “I’m not just going to flog the same 11 week in, week out and not use the squad to its fullest if I can help it. There will perhaps be a couple of changes to the team but I don’t think it will diminish the quality at all.”
  10. I like the comparison table 🙂 It certainly makes good reading for O'Riordans development Olson also seems to be behind George Pratt in the first team picture seeing as Pratt was involved with the first team during pre season Although this may be because Pratt is a left footed opton, which Ismael seems to like to have available
  11. You would think a National League team would look at that and have the game on the Wednesday instead so they could pick up an extra few quid from away fans. There are some National League Cup games tomorrow, so its obviously not out of the question
  12. They were streamed free last year too (with replays to watch after the event in case of fixture clashes with the first team), cannot see that they are streamed at all this season though Looks like National League TV has been sold/merged with DAZN who haven't bothered with this competition
  13. Was it from an AI, or a London based social media "journalist" Apparently will likely be on the bench
  14. National League Cup Fixtures confirmed Brackley Town v Rovers Tuesday August 12th Kick-off 7pm St James Park Rochdale v Rovers Tuesday September 16th Kick-off 7pm Crown Oil Arena Solihull Moors v Rovers Tuesday October 21st Kick-off 7pm Damson Park Tamworth v Rovers Tuesday November 25th Kick-off 7.45pm The Lamb Ground
  15. Just imagine if Rovers had brought in close to £50M in transfer fees in recent years, giving them wriggle room with FFP/PSR, so could buy him now, loan him back to his current club until January & then bring him in once Toth/Henriksson/Kargbo had qualified for a GBE But I must have dreamt that first part 😉 * assuming they don't already have plans for Mafoumbis esc slot
  16. The wording looks like its been lifted straight from the "who counts as being an U21 player" from the 25 man squad rules for each season Edit - just noticed you said that earlier
  17. Up vote/like Darwin Rover 007 comment above for a laughing reaction to be added Can we also have a sarcasm emoji?
  18. Charlie Olson has moved on loan to League 2 Oldham. He was Altrinchams young player of the season and pretty much an ever present (when fit) for them in the 5th tier, so this looks like a decent step up in quality for him. Oldham were knocked out of the League cup by Accrington last week, so his first game could be on Saturday vs Swindon Is there any way to pin the first post in the topic so that we can keep a running list of current loans?
  19. unless someone gets a bonus for reducing costs
  20. As per AI so far from gospel Blackburn Rovers' latest financial accounts reveal a revenue of £21.4 million for the 2023/24 season League One clubs averaged £9.1 million, according to Deloitte. This difference is primarily due to higher broadcasting revenue and increased commercial revenue in the Championship. The League 1 figure is an average, so imagine Rovers would be slightly higher than the average So the cost of relegation is somewhere less than £12.3M/year Although I would hazard a guess that relegation wage reduction clauses would cover the vast majority of that
  21. It definitely was one of the 5 priorities that Gestede mentioned in April. When Ismael had been here a couple of months And he specifically said striker, not forwards Exact quotes below, with (a rather charitable) opinion of which new signing fills what role in red "We need a left-sided centre-back, that's been obvious," Gestede told The Lancashire Telegraph. "Scott Wharton has been missing all season, we don't want to put pressure on him when he's back and expect him to play every week. It will not work. We need someone to cover this position. (McLoughlin) "On the right, we need cover for Callum Brittain. We have Leo Duru but we need some business in this area. (Miller & Alebiosu) "Right-wing, we have Amario, who is going back. Tyrhys is the only other player in this position. (still waiting, although I will concede that De Neve is a player who plays wide, if not specifically on the right) "We want a number eight, a box-to-box type of midfielder and we don't have that at the minute. That's something we need to cover. (Tavares, Henriksson?) "We want some power up front to challenge the two strikers we have, we will do some business." (seemingly forgotten about)
  22. Previous post amended, looks like 1 appearance would do it If this is the case then it is ludicrous that he wasn't given a few seconds off the bench at the beginning of last season
  23. Edited to include the right years rules 🙂 According to the rules Youth player = born on or after 01/01/2004 Mafoumbi was born in 2005, so he gets 5 Table 2 below) points for his debut, (Championship is band 2) unless Nantes B team counts as senior? in which case he doesn't get those points. It looks like he then gets an extra 10 points (Table 6 below) , which seems to be the same conclusion that Elliott Jackson has reached here
  24. In which case, Wilsden is correct, and the article from the Norwich end that I referred to is wrong But it does make you wonder why haven't they done so, if they could, with 9 subs, it would have been very easy to get done in the early weeks of last season
