  1. Hull just brought on a sub who was playing in the Champions League for Monaco earlier in the season
  2. Indeed, waiting until the final minutes of deadline day, means you can get top Premiership talent like Fleck through the door 😉
  3. That's maybe taking things too far 😉
  4. Secret footage of Chaddy yesterday, and Chaddy this evening
  5. Latte Latth to Leeds wont happen. a team in the USA have already bid £20M for him and Leeds are not matching that
  6. Start this evening for Honor - lost 2-1 Wood loaned to Radcliffe (6th tier) for a month
  7. milligrams of chalk on boots
  8. Only 4 years with an extra years option in the clubs favour 😉
  9. Do we know that it is a permanent transfer and not a loan with a ludicrously overpriced buy option included?
  10. Can I have a go? Rovers about to sign Sam Smith
  11. You would presume that would be someone who had the title "Head of Recruitment" (or similar) But, that person left without being replaced a month before the window opened.
  12. 5 in 21 apparently, not that it makes much difference 3 goals in his last 6 games though, but they are not against international heavyweights, https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/augustus-kargbo/nationalmannschaft/spieler/549791
  13. If Travis even starts, Eustace's comments suggested he may be on the bench to start with
  14. He has also played right back a couple of times for the U21s this season (and presumably therefore also in training sessions), so could switch him and Sanderson around.
  15. Isn't Shpendi more a centre forward whereas Kargbo more a wide forward/support striker?
  16. Tinfoil hat time The game has been rearranged for that day so that Eustace is not in the building to push for deals to be completed on deadline day as the first team will have travelled to London by then "Sorry John, there was a power cut, so we could not press send"
  17. Starts tonight for Eastham - won 3-0 - Ashton Utd now up to 3rd place Honor - lost 2-1 Not involved in matchday squad Markanday - lost 1-0 - this is a Vertu Trophy match so I expect they are not risking him Goddard - drew 1-1 - Ebbsfleet won on penalties for an extra point - Goddard picked up a hand injury in training Powell - drew 0-0 - named in U21s starting lineup. loan officially ends tomorrow
  18. Rovers U21 play Forest Green, kick off at 7pm, live stream here if anyone fancies the first half before the first team kick off later lost 4-2
  19. I would imagine they would rotate Campbell with Rak-Sakyi, and Moore with Cannon. Teams with ambition like to have a squad and decent bench options Looks like they have plenty of space in a 25 man squad anyway, seeing as players aged 21 & under don't need to be registered unless they are on loan. They only have 22 players who are 21 and over (including BBD)
  20. I think it was Jordan McCann, 2 years ago, from Lincoln And in searching for him, I have just discovered he left to join Arsenal last week, replaced by John Prince (internal appointment)
  21. O'Riordan loaned to Crewe, should be a good move for him. Crewe 2nd in the table, O'Riordan was a regular at Crewe before moving to Rovers, and they have an injury to one of their current first choice centre backs (who is incidentally Rovers academy graduate, James Connolly) Eustace also confirmed here that Garrett will be loaned out again rather than used by Rovers this season, & McFadzean will be leaving, but unsure if that will be permanent or a loan News that impacts Leo Duru, Barrow have a new manager. As far as I can work out he seems to flip between playing 4 and 3 at the back, with overlapping full/wing backs either should suit Duru
  22. Just saw that and thought the same, with the narrative being that he has the "Championship experience" Eustace wants If we count Championship experience as mainly sitting on the bench and appearing as a late sub
  23. Jones hasn't been running the academy since the summer restructure, That is now Paul Gray but I would have thought that Jones would have at the very least been a useful sounding board, and likely much more Jones, (having been here for close to 15 years), spends about 6 months in a more senior role (and presumably in closer contract with Waggott, Suhail etc) and jumps ship
  24. Jackson saying the same TLDR - He has taken another job, and is currently working his 6 month notice period Blackburn Rovers' Head of Academy, Stuart Jones, is set to leave the football club, The Lancashire Telegraph understands. Jones has been at Rovers for over a decade and has worked within the youth system in various roles during that time. He has overseen the development of some of the club's finest youth prospects. In an Academy restructure this summer, Jones was promoted to Head of Academy, focusing specifically on the development of players aged 17-21 to make them ready for the first-team or a senior career elsewhere. Reports on Sunday claimed Jones was set for new pastures and that is accurate. The LT understands that Jones has handed his notice in at Blackburn Rovers but will still be at the club for the next six months. Club sources state Jones is 'ready for a new challenge' after well over a decade's service at Ewood Park. The club now have an extended period to source his replacement and begin the handover process before Jones' exit in June. The Academy remains one of Rovers' biggest assets and so this is a critical role for Blackburn to fill. Paul Gray was promoted to Academy Manager in the summer during the restructure and could be an obvious internal candidate to step up again. Rovers have yet to announce the appointment of a new Chief Scout, the role designed to replace John Park. Rudy Gestede continues to lead transfers with the aid of Adam Owen and Steve Waggott, as well as input from John Eustace. Interviews took place before Christmas so an appointment may have been made, with perhaps a notice period being served elsewhere. Rovers are expected to confirm an appointment through the official channels when the time is appropriate. The club will also be looking for a new analyst, with one of their team set to move to Middlesbrough.
