Some of us are already on the train home, no time for nervous lie-ins! All I ask today is the entire team physically keel over if necessary in pursuit of Dingle Slaying, and Lee Williamson makes a cameo in some capacity.

A stat which I have seen of late is that only three individuals have ever won the league title with Man United, and one of those has been dead for nearly a century. Doesn't half scream peaks and troughs!

I've been to Finn Harps of all places. Only ground I have ever been to that played country music - and only country music - over the tannoy but thoroughly good fun. Wonderful part of the world too. I was also wedged into Richmond Park a couple of years ago for a sell out St Pat's v. Bohs. Goalless draw from memory but a proper game of football in a proper ground. The standards, settings, tactics, society etc. may change but for me it's all football at the end of the day. Oh, and since I've wittered on about the LoI - well done to Damien Duff on his triumph this year as manager of Shelbourne!

Yes, but only if us poor bastards who have parted with the travel and entry expenses, and had to grovel for the day off, in expectation of seeing a fair and whole hearted game of football get refunded accordingly! Oh, and who now appear to be travelling through a tempest to get there too... -
Out of interest, what happened with Walters at Rovers? I never knew he was with us until I googled him (in my defence, before my time and he never made a league appearance!), and Wikipedia just offers the spiel put out officially at the time.

The most important thing about the prevailing situation at Old Trafford is that it is very, very funny. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. Hope Ratcliffe is having a rotten Christmas.

Ange has the touch of Klopp about him in that when things are golden he's sound, but the second the cracks start to appear he turns into a right knob.

As a product aimed at groundhoppers, does it include facilities for noting the GSM of the paper in the programme, a list of corner flags touchable, whether the devil's lanterns were on and carpet laid, and come with a random plastic bag to carry it around in?

Hopefully all this talk of a ban on marrying your cousin distracts them and we win

A 21st Century Maiden album sounds tolerable if you play it at 2x speed, or edit it so as to remove the first two minutes off all the songs. Give me Priest or Saxon.

It is no coincidence that Spurs have been on a downward trajectory since Sir Brad turned into Lev Yashin in Cardiff IMO.

Hope so, the sooner we can guarantee Rovers' record stands undefeated for another three years the better!

Yep, it is very much something that once you clock you can't not notice. I work in the West Midlands so it's not as bad as all bar the most aloof Villa fans have been at our level of late. Always comes back to '95 mind, irrespective of what context I mention Rovers in. Don't know if I am happy or sad they have stopped asking about whether V****'s still own us mind. It is genuinely lovely to meet someone in the wild though whose interest in football goes beyond 20th place in the Premier League. I have worked with Port Vale, Tranmere, Barnet and Reading fans. Much more engaging chats than people who asked me if I watched Super Sunday, or indeed browsing through BBC Sport these days!

Kelly Somers managed to get RVN's Leicester, Wayne Rooney's Plymouth and Frank Lampard's Coventry into consecutive sentences there. Stop all that bollocks and have some fucking respect for them.

Third round draw and there's been an interview with new Man United fella and now Mark Hughes and Dion Dublin asked their opinions on him pre draw. Get those fuckers away to a European Super League and leave us all be.

I have wonderful memories of my grandad writing down the FA Cup draws as they happened, live from FA HQ in Soho on a Monday lunchtime. I suppose it is better now than it has been at points over the past decade, I can recall when it was exclusively on ITV and all the draws were done at odd points between the two Sunday fixtures, like 1445 and what have you. For all the inane gibber Kelly Somers and co will serve up tomorrow, at least it gives it a sense of place and distinction again. Just a shame we'll have no 'x OR y' ties in it...

I may be missing something or someone obvious, but would this be the most times Rovers have played an opponent but only ever at two venues? -
I love old stories like this! I dread to think how many programmes I have had over the years thay have turned to mulch by the time I get home. Very oddly, part of the romance of it all I suppose. I have yet to get a 'digital matchday supplement' water damaged however.

Bank Holiday Monday 26 May apparently.

I was at Morecambe v. Port Vale on Saturday with a Valiant mate. Not the best game of football ever, but I have and will see worse. The ends justified the means for Vale eventually, which I suppose will do for them after their recent blips in form. Jordan Slew and Yann Songo'o were on the bench for Morecambe (neither came on), and Sam Hart and Jason Lowe came off the bench for Vale. I think I have just about recovered from reading those names on a teamsheet once more, though in fairness Sam Hart looked good.

Fail to see what the issue is with that David Coote video doing the rounds. All he says is Klopp is a c***, and that is, without any doubt, qualification or caveat, entirely true. Edited to add video. Be aware it has very strong language and references to Burnley.

Not literally of course (my emotional involvement with football ends usually when I leave the ground), but it was bloody daft and an example I think of the wider malaise and indiscipline at the club. -

I'm still fuming at the booking JRC picked up last year when he threw the ball back to the opposition player at a freekick, but deliberately higher than they could reach. As I recall the freekick wasn't even past the halfway line and there was no danger whatsoever. I know it's the heat of battle but how bloody dense can you be? -

I'm mot watching but the fan's groans were unhelpful, according to RoversTV's radio commentary. I get the sense those boys would fiddle whilst Rome burns. -

Part of me is still watching that effort from Gally (?) deep into the second half strike one post then roll along the goalline to strike the other. Should have known from then on we weren't destined to win!
