  1. Stig Inge Bjornebye has temporarily joined the upstairs staff at Rangers. Not heard that name in a while!
  2. Bet the lads and lasses in Adelaide and La Paz can't wait to settle down to watch Hull and Rovers slog it out. The magic of the Cup... Can anyone remember / does anyone know if the FA Cup ties are officially audio broadcast by Rovers? Don't have TNT and not in Lancs...
  3. Dicked by the title competitors, gubbed in Europe, lose a cup final. Proper start. Delighted for St Mirren. Finally a positive to living in Paisley.
  4. It would be tremendously funny if Edwards is shown the door before or once Wolves go down.
  5. Back before these bastards darkened our door we had guaranteed annual trips to Old Trafford, Anfield, Goodison, White Hart Lane, the Emirates and Eastlands.
  6. I did have a look at going today but they play out in the back of beyond near Emley Moor and I don't drive so that put paid to that. Hopefully get to see them at Stockport in January.
  7. Given what allegedly happened in summer, so was he.
  8. Just the 3-2 loss away at Huddersfield Town Women today. 59 in attendance apparently.
  9. Might as well hand them out like the national team ones at this point.
  10. Way back when I would stop and see my grandad on the way home from school as he wrote the draw down as it happened (live from Soho of course!) and he would give me the list to mull over as I walked back. Wonderful memories. I remember posting on here a few days before our fateful QF at Bramall Lane a couple of years ago that I was literally bouncing around with excitement. It may be old and weary these days but my god when it sparkles it is utter magic.
  11. (I will whisper it, I am pleased Bratfud got promoted. If we are going down this silly grading road, at least it is a proper, historic team to benefit. Plenty more blood and thunder derbies in there now which may be what SL needs to spurn a touch of interest. Hudds may even get 700 on the gate!)
  12. That's Salford gone. I just don't understand, they had so many Instagram followers and a nice, modern stadium. That's how League now works, right?
  13. 175 pages of this thread... imagine how much lower that would be if we could only state fact! For what it's worth, Daniel Sturridge, and most other pundits, are absolute dirge. I find football on TV immeasurably better on mute. I don't have someone at Ewood or wherever else I end up in person telling me what I just saw, why do I need it for watching it on TV? Half of it is just pandering for social media clicks later... G-Nev OUTRAGED by VAR call... Roy Keane TEARS INTO West Ham left back... Micah Richards AMAZED by concept of gravity. Get it all to launched into orbit.
  14. Brings a new meaning to 'Looks like we got him from Pleasington'... Deserves one of those caps for booting Duggary up the arse.
  15. He's a bit older than that these days 😁
  16. £10 entry tonight down in Tamworth. Ye gods.
  17. Something for everyone there to be fair!
  18. Oh, and to drag myself back to football... That artist's impression of the new Birmingham City ground is a bit much, but at least it shows a bit of character and uniqueness. Sooner that than some plastic box torn from a catalogue page.
  19. Thoroughly enjoyed the chat this last few pages... I am from that part of town but was born far too late to ever do the Revidge Run in any proper guise but can remember most of those pubs being open when I was growing up. Social history fascinates me, certainly that which I can relate to. A lost world now but that's life, for better or for worse. Thankfully, as an adult I moved somewhere that still has pubs aplenty 😎
  20. Didn't we have that with Mulgrew and him being stuck on 99 appearances for ages? He made his 100th in the end and as I recall looked absolutely shot at, which might have been why!
  21. Some ending that was!
  22. It was very telling they didn't even bother to mention the chance of a general sale at all, which I don't think we ever do bar Dingles away? I remember some years ago when Wrexham were scrapping about in the National League pre-Reynolds/Mac a friend and I were poring over fixtures for a ground to tick off one weekend and we got it down to Port Vale or Wrexham. We chose the former. That hasn't aged well! Might have to be an EFL Trophy v. Leeds u21s job to get the Racecourse done nowadays ffs.
  23. The way we are now it is genuinely a miracle that anything happens at all.
  24. ExiledRover's alias account found 😁
  25. Long way to go yet but two promotions to, one relegation from the Premier League reads a lot better than the inverse. Wolves are a basket case at the minute, no idea why someone would leave a successful, secure job going in all the right direcrions to chance their hand at bailing out the Titanic with a bucket. His past go at being a 'go down but get them back up' manager at Luton hardly ended well either.
