Or indeed anywhere on the Revidge Run! Except for the Alexandra there can't be many at all up Revidge / Corpy Park / Pleckgate / Lammack these days. Royal Oak and Hare & Hounds have both gone of late. @rog of the rovers excellent work by your uncle!

Then they can reappoint Pereira to save them again. Rinse and repeat, and keep that precious Premier Legaue money forever more.

I couldn't care less if a someone could point to Blackburn on a map, name the Spoons in town, recognise Mill Hill station, has an Uncle Jack tattoo or dreamed of being Damien Duff growing up. They can either do a job or they can't. How much could JDT have told you about the above before coming here? What about De Zerbi and Brighton? Thomas Frank and Brentford? I don't think Frank Lampard spent two weeks in the Premier Inn in Coventry immersing himself in 2 Tone and the site of Highfield Rod either.

It is just like the onerous bag restrictions too. You better hope your hotel for (e.g.) Southampton away allows you to drop your rucksack off as heaven forbid you take something larger than a fag packet into the ground. Reminds me of a time a couple of years ago I was checking into a Travelodge and someone in front of me wanted to book a room for that night for whatever reason. They were advised they couldn't do that on the desk and they would have to ring them or book online to do so. Understandly, they weren't too impressed! -

A couple of those names are before my time but I would kill to have half of those back here. Craig Short alone has more bollocks than our current squad combined and quadrupled. -
As someone with Ayr United sympathies I wonder if Scott Brown could be half-tempted. They'd need to buy another six goalkeepers at least but I'm sure the shaving his head again to look hard should be easy...

Anyone with a tash like his can do as he please in my opinion. Wrong league, St. Johnstone are winning the Championship this year. 😁 I have no idea why the Scottish overlords decided they had to copy the EFL's names. Even after all this while having a Championship below a Premiership seems a bit weird.

BBC reporting 'four or five serious bids' for Sheffield Weds. We'd sink like a led zeppelin without V***** though. 🙃

Just the 12-0 loss to the Dingles this time. As if that isn't bad enough, anyone wanting to watch that had to travel to Nelson 🤢 Mind, still conceded one goal fewer than last time. At this rate we will draw 0-0 with them in the year 2031. -

The commentary two have never been one for rocking the boat. I remember one of the Covid-era Mowbray seasons as we slumped to another insipid home defeat they were still preaching hope for the play offs despite us being about ten points off with five games to play. Back in the days of (legit) club video streaming before the current TV deal it was very easy to mute, these days as an audio only service that is rather more difficult! -

Bloody hell haven't we suffered enough already? -
It's alright, they'll plant three trees to carbon offset it all. Though of course, that doesn't apply to us proles. Sell your car and catch the bus, you selfish peasant.

The outrage and shock every time something like this happens mystifies me. It is always the natural, logical progression of what the game dropped its collective underwear for back in the 90s. If you sell your soul to Satan, don't be shocked when he comes for his pay.

I was sure Edu rang a bell in a Rovers context, and it transpired he scored an own goal whilst playing us once, back in the league in 02-03. We were the only team to do the league double over Arsenal that year. Imagine such a world 🙃

Risky business hiring Ulstermen at Rangers. They'll have to find out which school he went to and everything. I honestly wish I was joking.

The actual Queen's Park are in a league fixture themselves that day, unsurpringly, so there's the excuse for that not happening. Carrying on the FA Cup theme, we won the 1886 edition via a replay with West Brom at Derbyshire's county cricket ground, just a mile or so from Pride Park. Maybe that could have been an angle a competent board could have pursued if we had to go down the 'afterwards on Saturday 5th' road - play a West Brom legends XI to demark the final flourish of that record we still hold - the only extant club to win three FA Cups in a row, having just played the team whose town we did it in. Ho hum. -

We're probably in talks with a Sunday team from the Queen's Park in Blackburn. -
Ally McCoist is a Rangers legend and he was utterly tepid in the dugout there.

Don't worry, I'm sure there's plans for an action-packed interval between the two matches...
