  1. Will not get this kind of opportunity next weekend, have to make it count.
  2. Hyam is an entirely different player with MacFadzean on the pitch
  3. Stuff like that doesn’t often seem to go our way, but it was the right decision.
  4. Off-topic: Jack Vale’s just been sent off for serious foul play. Didn’t know he had it in him.
  5. Weird one, I think the commentators are right, I don’t think managers/staff can come into contact like that with players. Crazy, he was just trying to get the ball back for a quick throw, but proper “rush of blood to the head” stuff for your head coach to do that. Poor reflection on him, shouldn’t give the ref a decision to make.
  6. If he intends to stick around, he appears unbothered by a season in League One on today’s showing.
  7. Total passenger. He’s gone in the summer and not a moment too soon
  8. Trying to move it forward too quickly, lot of wasted possession but most of us don’t look like we know what to do in the final third. Sammie potentially on a rare off day, as well. I feel like I’ve seen this one before.
  9. Restricted broadcast, but available on the countries listed here: https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/april/26/watch-sky-blues-showdown-live-on-roverstv-/
  10. Started about as well as you’d imagine from the lineup. 50/50 I throw up at some point from the nerves.
  11. And where the fuck is @CP Company Dresser today? I thought Leeds “are art” or something? Art? No, today was about Arte et Labore, something Leeds could have done with today, instead of the piss artistry their forwards were giving it today. Massive win. One more next Saturday and we’re home free, I reckon. Let’s make this count!
  12. I understand it from a player protection angle, but it massively hurts threadbare squads like ours
  13. The reporter genuinely tried to set him up for an apology and he just suggested that they “would learn from it.” The only thing I’d be happy for him to learn this evening is what a P45 from Blackburn Rovers looks like.
  14. The ARROGANCE of a man glaring at the reported like that, when he’s just served that up.
  15. Cant expect much from a man whose response to the first half was to leave a player having the worst performance of his short career with us, change shape to a back three and somehow concede even more than in the first half. Lacking imagination entirely. Can only get a result out of the players, after they’ve conspired to get a manager sacked, after an international break or with two weeks of prep. Not listened to this one, but I bet like Rovers TV, there’s not a hint of a direct apology.
  16. Hope the away end give them an absolute hammering. Credit to those who turned up to watch that, make sure you get your money’s worth.
  17. Hope he isn’t renewed again, doesn’t deserve a wage. edit: nevermind, I’ve just read I have to watch him until 2027
  18. Have they all got relegation release clauses, maybe?
  19. The players deserve a relegation, some more than others and a vanishing few not at all. Unfortunately, we cannot afford a relegation. It remains a distinct possibility that we get one, but we can’t afford it.
  20. 4 subs at half time is a serious bollocking happening in the dressing room, but I cannot fucking believe that Hyam is on the pitch still.
  21. Yeah? Pickering selling Pears short just now and Hyam earlier in the half, before the two mistakes he subsequently made. I don’t think gifting four opportunities to your opponents in the first half while not really testing the opposition keeper at all is a performance I’d call “fine,” honestly.
  22. Dolan not doing much, Gally not doing much, Pickering not looking at it, Tronstad seems off the pace. Szmodics not at it at all. Brattain at fault for the defending immediately before the penalty. I dunno, we turn up when we fancy it and we apparently don’t fancy a Wednesday night in Bristol, during a relegation fight.
  23. Bizarre turn of events after the Southampton performance, which was encouraging. If we can’t cope with the midweek games, we can’t cope with football at this level. Players look lost. I’ve given the manager grief, but this is just a bunch of players absolutely not turning up for work, today.
  24. Isn’t it madness that the Finance Director has recently resigned to “spend more time with his family” or words to that effect, about a week before these were filed and now there’s “a material uncertainty” around the club being a going concern, then this massive, separate mitigation in the following paragraph. Almost like one person has written one paragraph and someone else has written the folllow-on, after they left the room.
