  1. Wharton sold for more than it cost to buy the club. That's some left foot.
  2. Keep dreaming lads, we see very little of this money. Not something you can turn down though.
  3. I think we can forget about him coming back on loan. This just doesn't feel like that kind of signing for them. He will feature.
  4. Venky's sell the fucking club... not Adam Wharton!
  5. I think links like this are just fantasising for me. We don't have the resources. We'd all be better served focusing our thoughts and energy on how to rid the club of the owners.
  6. We are in deep shit ladies and gents
  7. https://www.amazon.co.uk/RESULT-SCARF-FOOTBALL-RUGBY-SPORT/dp/B005G4ZUIC/ref=sr_1_6?crid=22MXXNG9ECOHN&keywords=yellow+and+black+scarf&qid=1706010602&sprefix=yellow+and+black+sc%2Caps%2C89&sr=8-6 £6 on Amazon albeit slow delivery
  8. Yellow and black scarves would do for me
  9. Are other Indian businesses suffering, there must be thousands with a location overseas?? I haven't heard of it. This seems unique to our "owners". Venky's have been a burden since the minute they joined.
  10. The presenter asked “are they missing a target man” Warnock said “Yes that’s why they’re after Moore and Sam Gallagher. I tried to sign Sam a couple of years ago… but he was too expensive”
  11. Ipswich's loan signing Sarmiento from Brighton (will have cost a fee) had an impact today. Ours got 0 minutes at the weekend. Carvalho got 3 points for Hull against Sunderland. Obafemi will do the same for Millwall. Still waiting on Rovers to do anything of note. It's scary how far ahead of us Ipswich are and it reminds me how laughable the old "5 year Brentford model was". We're very much still the "15 year Blackburn Rovers' model" of getting absolutely nowhere. At what point is a senior executive made accountable for a lack of results on and off the field.
  12. Someone in the Jack Walker started a Venky's out chant on Saturday. The response I heard was a bewildered "Venky's Out? Where's that come from?" It's really quite incredible. No hope for this club to do anything.
  13. Steve, can you get on the blower to Pune and tell them to find a way to get a striker, 3 centre backs and a right winger in before next Thurs (past experience in adult football preferable [for all 5]). Also probably best for you to be in the building on deadline day too and not sat watching football... being CEO and that 👍 One more thing before you go, appreciate all the work you're doing in keeping fans away on match days. Thoroughly enjoying putting my feet up inside Ewood!
  14. Our problem is the owners haven't given us the players, it's as simple as that. Let's stop dancing around it. We can barely handle two injuries.
  15. I thought today was one of the most concerning matches I've seen at Ewood in a long time. We're more of a threat to ourselves at the minute than the opposition. Huddersfield should and could have scored 3 with ease. We look lost, confused and are playing some appalling stuff.
  16. Not one permanent signing added yet to a squad that needs major reinforcement, and I doubt there will be any. We play a relegation rival tomorrow and still no experience added. The club is behind 16 other Championship teams in terms of attractiveness to join; when we were the 2nd most attractive team in the league last year we barely did any business. We are heading straight for League One without a fight. The owners should be forced to sell by the authorities, there is nothing fit and proper about this and absolutely no place for any football club in England to operate at the mercy of another country's judicial system. I've done business with companies in India, bigger than Venky's and the level of bureaucracy is something else, I've seen simple decisions that can be made in hours take many months. I've seen them want something, have the resources and get nowhere. This experience always made me wonder how the hell will Rovers operate successfully as a football club, a business where you often need big decisions made quickly to turn corners and function. It's absolutely no surprise for me to hear that in the past we have even found it difficult to get transfer offers on our own players responded to. No surprise that we sleepwalked into a Premier League relegation with a manager that was under qualified and sleepwalked our way through years of parachute payments. We are still sleepwalking our way through poor attendances and missed revenue, with a town three quarters detached from a club they love. All that aside, Venky's simply can't run a football club. I didn't need the tax issue to know that. It's a pet project and even if it wasn't it still wouldn't work. They will never make Rovers successful, I guarantee it and if you think differently after all this time your head is in the sand. Venky's have to go for Rovers to feel good again.
  17. The lack of squad depth, quality of the first 11 and lack of new additions (that aren't kids) is scary right now. The Championship is a tough tough league...
  18. He was probably promised we would compete with the club he was leaving, which we aren't doing.
  19. That header from Hyam on the second is something else. 2/10 performance from him. The guy needs to sort it out.
  20. If we have any sort of money to spend I'd get it spent on a decent goalkeeper. The current ones are sending us down. That's the harsh truth of how bad they are. Never seen anything like it at this level.
  21. Couldn't agree more. From last January to now for no one not to have been fired at a senior level is quite incredible. You can't get success with a no consequences model. Remember the summer before was only "half a summer" because they messed up getting a manager in, as if it were a surprise one would be needed? The fans knew in Feb. This summer it was the Indian government's fault... Laughable. All of our problems link back to detached, uninterested owners... who live a 12 hour flight away. We've got to find a way to get them out of the club.
