  1. He was impressive, but I thought he fluffed it at the crucial moment right at the death. He should have been saving that comfortably.
  2. By today's standards it was a red. There weren't too many complaints from the players.
  3. Have a feeling Wednesday will nick it, but Barnsley have been excellent since going down to ten men. They're fighting much harder than the Wednesday players are.
  4. Takes a long time to get that sort of money out of your wallet for a Bovril.
  5. Spalletti has left Napoli and he said this: "Sometimes, you part ways due to too much love. Napoli deserves the best and I’m not ready for that." Kudos for admitting something that 99% of managers never would.
  6. A lot of the players will also have relegation release clauses. Brenden Aaronson, who is supposedly on £100k per week according to @philipl's list, has one which is now active. I assume others will, too. Leeds United have to get those players off their books, most certainly, or I'm not sure parachute payments can't cushion those sorts of wages!
  7. With the money he and his posse will want? Dubai. Saudi Arabia. Orlando where he can continue being a Mickey Mouse manager. Somewhere like that.
  8. Pochettino confirmed as new Chelsea boss. Think that'll make next season a bit more interesting at the top.
  9. I suggested the other day that some considering renewing their season ticket might just be waiting until they're ready to put the money together. Sounds like we've had one example of that, above. I think quite a few could be in the same position because I would be surprised if a third didn't renew. I'd have expected that if Mowbray had stayed on! Think there's a bit more hope and excitement this time around.
  10. Hyam called up to the Scotland squad. 👏
  11. So if you were a season ticket holder last season, and you choose to renew, but change to a different seat, two seats are marked as unavailable when only one has been sold. I thought that might be the case. Is there any chance you could keep an eye on your old seat and see if it becomes available again? Or send me your old seat number in a private message, and I'll keep an eye on it? It basically means that the "new" season tickets sold will be a mixture of both new season ticket holders and existing season ticket holders that changed seats.
  12. You can find one "da'an t'pit", you silly dee-dah.
  13. Rooting for Barnsley. A mate from my uni days supports them, and another lad at uni was a Wednesday supporter and tosser in tandem, so that's how I usually decide whether I like certain clubs or not. It's always the people, but a sample of one from each club is terrible, really. 😄
  14. On the contrary, I think he'd love to rebuild one of the biggest clubs in the country with the resources they'll have after selling players and parachute payments. Allardyce stated it would be a rebuild, and it sounds right up JDT's street: "The rebuild has to be carefully planned."
  15. Tomasson would have far more cash to play with in the transfer market to get the players he really wants. Much better chance of promotion to the Premier League (where I'm sure Tomasson's personal goal lies) with Leeds United or Leicester City than with Project Free Transfers and Loans Rovers.
  16. Tomasson would need another season here to show a bit more before any of those clubs were to take risks on him.
  17. Now that the Premier League season is over, brace yourselves for another bout of rumours about Tomasson going to Leeds United or Leicester City. There isn't anything concrete at the moment, but I can see quite a bit of talk from their supporters about their next manager, and Tomasson is getting a good few mentions.
  18. Maybe it's just me, but I always get the impression that Everton have the angriest supporters in the country. Every time I watch them, their supporters go berserk at everything that goes against them or a player losing the ball. They seen to be on another scale compared to normal supporters.
  19. In all seriousness, Yes. Seems to have buckled under pressure.
  20. Either way, he'll be necking a few later if they go through. Or if they lose. It's really tight. Next.
  21. I don't know if you missed the joke... Or I'm missing something as usual ☺️
