  1. Norwich are a team playing well at the moment. In their last 4, they've won 3 and drawn 1, scoring 12 goals. Josh Sargent is in great form, having scored 5 of those 12. They're looking like serious play-off contenders - currently sitting in 8th place, only 3 points away from 6th. Can't say i'm looking forward to this one, to be honest! Would snatch your hand off for a draw.
  2. You don't rest players and throw points away, especially not when you're in a relegation fight... If players like Szmodics or Tronstad got injured we would be absolutely naffed, that's true... however injuries can't be foreseen or prevented, every game is a risk whether you've played 2 games in the past week or 2 games in the past month. Fleck is a prime example of that, having picked up an injury in the first 15 minutes of football he's played in a long time. Rotate the players as normal, sure... but when you're desperate for points, you take the risk and play the best squad you can for every game.
  3. Thought the same thing, we're screwed if he takes a knock. Hell of a player. I'm already dreading the Summer Window... it's gonna hurt like mad when we let him go to an ambitious Club for absolute peanuts.
  4. Seen this too many times... - Cardiff not in great form. - Long coach journey. - 7:45 kick off on a cold Tuesday night. I already feel angry about how shit we played, in a game that's ~34 hours away. 1-0 Cardiff šŸ‘Ž
  5. I honestly feel so disconnected from the Club right now. Everything just looks to be orchestrated by Waggott. He's brought in a likeable "yes man" to drive his agenda. The number of times Eustace has mentioned togetherness, family, and how many 'great' players he already has in the building... we all know that isn't entirely the case. It's generic sweet-talking to lower fans' expectations for upcoming transfer windows, an attempt to convince them that the Club is already full of class players that we just need to get behind, therefore we shouldn't expect too much. It's all about saving money, taking pressure off the board and the owners, and getting the fans to accept the bare minimum. The Club has been stripped of all ambition - something that JDT was not on board with, and wasn't afraid to make that public. Waggott is tirelessly looking to continue with his managed decline of the Club with as little uproar as possible. Cannot stand the little rat. We need vermin like him and the owners out of our once-great Club.
  6. Good shout, McFadz will probably need a rest. Start O'Riordan for this one. He's looked alright to me in his cameo's - he's young and inexperienced, but a big lad and looks decent on the ball too. Scotty, Hyam and O'Riordan to start - maybe stick McFadz in towards the end if needed.
  7. This is the one - either of Fleck/Bucko over Garrett. Even without full match fitness, they're likely put in a better shift against this lot, than young Garrett would.
  8. Ahh yes, Cardiff away next Tuesday. 7:45 kick-off, away from home, long journey... honestly, i've never been more sure of how a game will play out in my life.
  9. Can only imagine that we'll be on the receiving end of a comprehensive beatdown against this lot... bloody Preston, how far we've fallen. For what it's worth, Fleck must play - and Garrett, Telalovic and Chrisene must be kept out of it. 2-0 Preston.
  10. I tend to assume that the loons in Pune will continue to get the green light for sending funds over, unfortunately keeping the circus going for a good while longer. There's also no doubt that they'll reduce the amount of funds they send, after recent earnings. We've just got a guaranteed Ā£18m for Wharton, Ā£500k for Ennis and have ~Ā£4m coming in from the Raya sale in the summer. So that'll be ~Ā£22.5m in total... before we flog anyone else. Looking ahead to the summer: Ben Chrisene, Billy Koumetio, Yasin Ayari, and Andrew Moran will return to their parent clubs. Plus, the short-term contracts of Kyle McFadz and John Fleck will be up. Trav and Vale will be coming back. At a normal Club, Eustace would be properly backed after receiving income like that - but as we all know, this is far from a normal Club... In your opinion, will Eustace have some cash to play with in the summer, or not?
  11. Mrs Desai: Have you seen Roversā€™ form lately, Venkatesh? Venkatesh: Who? Oh Rovers... no why? Mrs Desai: Says here they've returned just five points from their last 11 games... Venkatesh: Oh right, is that good? Mrs Desai: No, apparently it's concerning... Venkatesh: Ahh... didn't they just sell a young lad for Ā£18m or something? Mrs Desai: Sure did. Venkatesh: Nice. Anyway... *Balaji walks in* Mrs Desai: Oh, Balaji - you heard that about Rovers? Balaji: Who?
  12. Good point. If he actually wants to, then i'd like Gregg to stay - he's done a good job considering some of the bollocks he's had to put up with. He's tied down key players and young prospects with long contracts, and is responsible for some shrewd bits of business in the transfer market. He's received a lot of undeserved criticism, and has clearly had to make himself the scapegoat during his time here... but I feel like he's one of the few people left at the club with a brain. Keep Gregg. Let Eustace come in, to focus purely on the football.
  13. Has anyone else picked up on how responsive Nixon is being on Twitter to those who are suggesting that the cock-ups were intentional? Seems unlike him to repeat himself so much, I also don't recall a time where he's defended the Club this much... Something's telling me that he's been slipped a few quid to dismiss the theories and try to keep the peace a little.
  14. Recent history suggests that we won't get a penny to reinvest. Our star boy, a local lad who was the product of the Academy that Jack built, was sold to keep the lights on and save a few quid for those greedy fat muppets in Pune. P.S. Also just want to point out, as i've also seen you mention him on Twitter recently, that Max Bird was bought by Bristol City and loaned back to Derby a few days ago.
  15. Ian Sylvester is experienced and knows how to close a deal, as proven throughout his career. I am fully in the camp that these cock-ups were planned to save the Club money, given the lingering uncertainty around the funds being approved by the Indian Courts. Those morons in Pune clearly don't want to commit to paying decent fees for players, even if they prove they're worth it. Once is a mistake, twice is a choice. Sylvester will be made the scapegoat i'm sure, but the truth will come out in time. VENKY'S OUT, WAGGOTT OUT.
  16. We gonna spend any money this window? Considering we've just got an awful lot of it... Who am I kidding? Not a chance šŸ˜„
  17. 4 o'clock traffic, Wine and Dine with Gregg, Steve Waggott... Can't see this happening!
  18. Hope you're right mate. Thanks for sharing - and please nobody bite his head off if this turns out to be incorrect!
  19. I'm not having this, how was it a 'complicated one'? You agree the financials, get the lad over for a medical and complete the deal - like any other transfer. The only thing that complicates that is pure fucking incompetence from Blackburn Rovers, which is the norm these days. No other club would have any complications with this deal. It's embarrassing.
  20. Gregg: Fuck, the Wharton deal might not go through - and the Yank is flying over as we speak! Swag: Well that aint happening is it, tell them to make a U-turn. Gregg: Steve it's a flight not a taxi... plus, we've got 8 hours till he lands - why don't we just hold off and see what happens? They obviously can't turn ar... Swag: Gregg, don't make me ask again. *bites a pie* Tell them it's off now, and to make a U-turn. (Swag waddles off) Gregg (head in hands): Fuck sake. Stacey, get me on the blower to Orlando please!
  21. It's possible, sure... But nah, I think it's probably quite obvious... The kid is moving out of his family home to go to live in London alone, he'll be at the opposite end of the country to them... he's only 19! It's likely that he's been pushed out of the Club that he adores, against his will, where he's played at since he was 6 alongside his big brother. The poor lad has probably had an emotional meltdown, and I wouldn't blame him.
  22. I get a couple of things from this... - Obviously, we can spend money - but not without this sale, which figures. - The saddest thing of all to me, is that Adam clearly must have stalled on signing the paperwork - the poor kid doesn't want to go šŸ˜¢
  23. Gonna see how tomorrow plays out, but I know how it goes, and I think this is it for me regarding this Club. Very dark days, we used to be something special that I was proud of - enough is enough.
