  1. Would be interested to see what formations were used for those games/halves, with 2 centre-forwards fielded in each of them.
  2. I think we're going to see just how much we've been missing JRC - not just for his ability, but his attitude too. Could see him relieving Hyam the armband in the near future.
  3. Let's give the lad a chance... some transfers just don't work out! He might be better in a different system.
  4. There was a time where I never thought i'd say this, but i'm praying that JDT plays Pears. Leo Wahlstedt has cost this team a good few points, far from ready.
  5. I don't think Gallagher is going anywhere. Money from his sale would not be reinvested, JDT and Gregg know this - so they won't let him go.
  6. Tell you what, there hasn't been many 'ITK' posters this window - I remember there were loads in the Summer. Most of the time it was pure BS... but I kinda miss it, which is a bit weird 😄
  7. Yeah I think so, he gave us a good few glimpses of what he could do. No van Hecke though, I agree. His performances decreased inline with the rest of the squad really - also factor in fixture congestion, injuries, mixed positions and makeshift defences... it was never gonna be easy for the lad. I'd take him back in an instant.
  8. Hilly's return to Bournemouth confirmed. I must admit, I was underwhelmed when he signed, I recall that many of us were. It was the same when we signed van Hecke... but both turned out to be cracking players and proved us wrong. I'll never judge a signing again until I see them in Blue and White halves. Good luck Hilly!
  9. Adam Wharton - 4 years left on his contract. - Starts pretty much every match for his boyhood club. - Very highly rated (being eyed up by half of the Premier League). - Young and English. He won't go for less than £20m, with a decent sell-on too. Say what you want about Gregg, but he isn't an idiot - he knows what he has.
  10. Speaking of Dolan, what's the crack with his contract?
  11. I see potential in Ennis personally, don't think he's been that bad when he's played - his availability is my only issue. If we're loaning him out, i'd like to see him have 6 months at Peterborough - they're about to sell JCH, I think Niall would get a good run of games there and do well.
  12. Meanwhile, Brereton-Diaz has been announced by Sheff U. Hope he does alright up there in the PL, not convinced he will though.
  13. We've effectively swapped our Captain, Lewis Travis, for an inexperienced youngster who was recalled from his loan at Coventry since he couldn't get a game. Lovely.
  14. Bring on Administration, we're on our way to League One anyway.
  15. Unless there's some sort of absolute miracle, we as a Club are absolutely doomed. Unfortunately though, we've all been waiting years for a miracle which will never come, nothing positive will happen whilst we are owned by these fools. Very dark times.
  16. Any money left over from the summer sales is now ancient history. We'll only be able spend if we sell in this window... I mean, you'd hope that's the case at least.
  17. Yup! The only positive is that we won't have to sell players just to cover the bills... Christ, how far our beloved club has fallen. ☹️
  18. The article... The High Court of Delhi has set a date for Venkateshwara Hatcheries Private Limited's latest application to push through funding for Blackburn Rovers. Rovers are officially owned by Venky's London Limited, which falls under the umbrella of parent company VHPL. VHPL has been involved in a row with the Indian government and had assets worth £7.3m seized, relating to money used to purchase a luxury house in Lancashire in 2011. In October, a further order was made by India’s Enforcement Directorate to seize £2.3m of assets as part of 'an investigation relating to alleged violation of the foreign exchange law'. As a result, the club have endured cash flow problems since the summer, with the transfer budget cut by 15 per cent. Rovers still signed two players for fees during the last transfer window but deals are being approved on an ad-hoc basis. It has been tougher for Venky's to push through funding from India and, as a result, they have used the High Court to ensure that the club remains fully supported. In November, the High Court of Dehli approved an application for £11.5million to be transferred for Roverso, in order to meet their financial obligations. That money was accounted to cover wages of playing and non-playing staff, utilities, VAT and the repayment of loans. The money was used to cover the club's costs and was not allowed to be spent on transfer activity. The court was satisfied that “the function of the club is not yet under any cloud of suspicion” and therefore the money was allowed to pass through. Another date has been set by the High Court after VHPL put through another application to release funding. That will be heard at the end of the month on the 24th of January. Rovers expect the application to be successful, as it was in November. Once again, any funding released through these channels will be accounted for and won't be directly used to bolster Tomasson's squad. The club have always maintained that Venky's remain fully committed to Blackburn Rovers and this latest application shows they still intend to fund the club. However, there are fair questions to be asked about how sustainable this process will be in the long term. There has not been any clarity on how long the restrictions in India will last for and whether the investigations are close to a conclusion. Tomasson has spoken openly about the cash flow problems at the club, which has left him with a lighter playing squad this season. The team has also not been able to fly to long-distance matches, something the head coach has linked to the budget cuts.
  19. Nope, 5 pound warchest! Result, Swag can put that towards his next Biryani.
  20. Would love us to sign him... however, they wanted £5m for him back in August, and he's on about 20k a week. Plus, we've just spend £800k on Wahlstedt... after signing that off, they'll have to leave him between the sticks and hope that he becomes good. All about development, who cares if we ship goals and plummet down the table?
  21. Was thinking this, maybe Mark Travers, Fraser Forster or Ethan Horvath could be tempted for 6 months - they aren't playing much atm.
  22. Think at the very least we need... A keeper, a CB, full-back cover, a right-winger and a senior striker - all whilst not having a pot to piss in, lovely 😶
  23. Sarmiento has been recalled from his loan at WBA - wouldn’t complain if we brought him here for 6 months.
