It's good to see Johnson coming in for Bothroyd, who was shocking on Monday. -
If we are going to sell Ferguson, we need to make sure of a couple of things. Firstly, that Rangers are prepared to pay the £6 million asking price. Secondly, if a deal is to happen, then it goes through quickley, so Blackburn have the chance to possibly bring in a replacement and a new striker. Moreover, if we are to sell then the club should have identified possible replacements for him, because without him, we are lacking a creative spark in the midfield. If this isn't the case, I would hold out until the summer, until we have players lined up and we have more time to sign them, than the few days left in the transfer window. We certainly missed him last night and it will be shame if he leaves.
-
He was probably our best player last night, sadly.
-
Must have missed that one.

God I feel sick. Diouf is a cheat of the highest order and something should be done about him. It pi**es me off so much to see diving like that happening and players getting away with it. Cheating bo**ocks! As for the game, both teams were poor and neither deserved the 3 points. The limited amount of chances came our way, but that wouldn't have justified us winning the game. Our strikers tonight were dreadful and the midfield lacked any creativity. The work ethic of the team isn't wasn't in question tonight, we just never looked like opening Bolton up. We lacked Ferguson and Tugay's ability to pick out a pass. However, I doubt our strikers would have gotten onto the end of any passes tonight, because they were shocking, especially Gallagher and Bothroyd. Our two wingers didn't have a sniff all night and was surprised that Hughes didn't bring on Reid, to try and freshen things up. Defensively we are looking quite good, although I'd drop Matteo as soon as I'd drop Diouf (but that's in a different context ). Todd is playing so well at the minute. The bottom line is that we need something better up front, with Ferguson in the being the creative influence in the centre of the park. On another note, Savage had a decent debut. He worked hard, won the ball back well and made some good tackles. I wasn't expecting much more from him to be honest.

I would hate for us to let him go, then see him go elsewhere and recapture his form.

I'm really looking forward to seeing our new signings on Monday night. We are playing well at the moment and Bolton are only just coming back into form, with their win against Arsenal, surely giving them lots of confidence. We are stronger at home and we must use this to our advantage. Derbies are usually close and I see this no differently and I think that we will win 2-1 or 3-1. Friedal Nelsen Mokoena Todd Johansson Emerton Savage Ferguson Pedersen Gallagher Bothroyd Subs: Enckleman, McEveley, Thompson, Reid, Stead

Thank God we finally signed him. He will bring something different to the midfield, I just hope that Ferguson stays to form a good partnership. But then again, Thompson is playing well in the centre, so if we were to lose Fergy, it looks like we have a ready made replacement. Hopefully Hughes can now turn his attentions to bringing in some strikers. Tomislav Sokota and Benni McCarthy please!

Matteo woeful? I don't believe it! Last time he played was against Cardiff and he was shocking in that match, so it was good to hear that he continued the tradition. Gray or McEveley surely have to be brought into the team over him. But in regards to the game, a great win, which sets us up nicely for a home game against Colchester and the real possibility of having a good cup run. Thompson's first goal was a brilliant move, with a great finish. Pedersen scored another good goal and he is showing what he can do when he is given a run in the team and fair play to him. By the sounds of things we were lucky enough, and seeing Langly's miss from a yard out, Cardiff could consider themselves unlucky. But that's the FA Cup. Too bad Johnson wasn't able to get a game. Also, when Reid came on for Gallagher, where did he play and what players did Hughes change around?
-
Todd or Friedal for me.

This is very disappointing news. Ferguson has been very good this season, now that he has settled into the style of the Premiership. The fact that he has stated how happy he is here and that his future lies with Rover, makes this news even more bewildering. The idea of a centre midfield pairing of Ferguson and Savage was starting to grow on me. We don't have to sell him, especially at the price Rangers have offered. If he were to leave, we have the likes f Thompson, Reid, Tugay and Flitcroft who can fill his position, but not necessarily his boots.
-
Rooney is just a chav, who gets paid too much and doesn't know how to behave. If he weren't a footballer and you saw him in the streets throwing stones, you wouldn't be surprised. He was unbelievable at Euro 2004 and apart from the Fenerbache game, he hasn't set the world alight. He is an absolute nutter and he better be careful, because one day when he's buying a new tracksuit or Burburrey cap, someone will floor him.

How did Reid play in the centre? I like to see him play there more often. If Ferguson leaves, we may see more of him there.

Kasabian are class. Have you heard some of their lyrics, I think they may have been high when they wrote some of their songs.

I was going to say the same thing. For the game on Wednesday, I'd like to see someone like McEveley or Gray getting a game at left back. It does present Hughes with selection problems for the future though. Does he stick with the same back for as yesterday, or does he bring Neill and Matteo back, moving Johannson into the centre and dropping Mokoena? Johannson doesn't deserved to be dropped and Mokoena had a good game yesterday, so will Hughes drop him? Hughes is going to find it hard to keep everyone happy. We may need to get rid of some defenders, Amoruso and Matteo would be my choices.
-
A huge win, MGP scores again and plays another 90 minutes and a clean sheet. I couldn't ask for much more, although a stiker would be nice and Hughes should address this problem. Mokoena and Nelsen sound like they had solid debuts. Good to hear that Jansen got a couple of minutes. Bolton next and hopefully another win, which could take us up to about 12th I think.
-
Is he starting to come good? The finish sounds similar to the one last week. Come lads, Portsmouth down to 10 men, we have to win and get 3 priceless points, as Norwich and Palace are losing, we can make the gap bigger.
-
It is good to see Nelsen and Mokoena making their debuts. However I would have pushed for Mokoena starting in the midfield with Thompson, keeping Nissa in the centre and bringing Gray in at left back. Hughes is obviously prepared to give Pedersen his chance in the team, which is good to see. It is nice to see Jansen back on the bench as well as Gray. Come on Rovers!
-
I'm glad for you. Enjoy it.
-
He takes a better a free kick than Ferguson. I don't know you, so I wouldn't know what you have said about Fergy.
-
There's no way we should sell Ferguson, let alone for the reported £3 million that Rangers are offering. I'm glad that the club and manager have come out to say that he is not for sale.
-
I'm not mad about signing Savage, especially for a reported £3 million, but the idea that he could replace Ferguson, is ridiculous. He doesn't have the same passing and technical ability of Barry. Savage gets stuck in and gets the tem going. Skysports are reporting that Bruce has confirmed that Birmingham are in talks with Blackburn over Savage.
-
No, it's not. Fair enough.

Speaking of manufactured boy bands, Busted are taking a break from music. Hopefully for at least 50 years. AESF will be gutted. So that means every band, with boys in it.
