  1. Unless something was mentioned in the meeting last week they are being vey coy about numbers sold. I believe it was just over 8000 after the early bird finished. Normally there are complementary tickets given by Blackburn Sports College to boost the numbers around this time but heard nothing about that this season. Doesn't look like the £299 early bird tickets in the Riverside tempted many. Last season only 4104 tickets were full paying adults so we will have to see if that embarrassing statistic improves but I guess they will keep quiet on the demographics as well.
  2. i know that the transfer market site isn't the most accurate of sites but it states Tavares MV (market value) is 800K yet we have supposedly paid 2K. Also Moreirense F.C. who we bought him from had a average attendance 2,387 last season and only won 10 games. There is no way we would have over paid , his stats as a defensive midfielder don't really excite me much 76 appearances for pretty much mundane teams in uneventful campaigns and 1 career goal Big step up for this lad.if he is to feature regulalrly
  3. yeah, when in 1978 the crowd was over 27000 , not many were supporting us, things change, a few years later we won the league , ups and downs, the biggest home support i remember-after we won the league cup in 2002, against Fulham, 10 pound a ticket , we also got 26700 against Oxford, in 2018 guess what, 10 pound a ticket
  4. WATR must also be held to account for some of these season ticket prices. They have been working with the board over a prolonged period of time and have always been banging on about a cheaper "entry level" price. They have now got what they wanted with a respectable price of £299 in the Riverside. But they did not cover all bases (and you have to with swags) and I bet they didn't even contemplate that the entry level price would be at a cost increase to the other stands. They do not make things clear with their half baked announcements like the one the last month, the one where I think they were having a go at the owners and after reading it I didn't know if we were to protest, boycott, show are support. Not clear like their strategy on season tickets. The owners and directors just do not take them seriously. This week they have made a half-arsed statement about a fluid situation and hint that they are doing something but don't really announce anything really. They really need to stop sitting on the fence and pretending they have serious influence. Burn their bridges with the board and connections and organise a real demonstration and a plan before it's too late. It's time for proper action or else we will be obliterated.
  5. Even their highest early bird is cheaper than our cheapest will be
  6. These free season tickets should help boost sales. Blackburn Rovers Sports College offers a unique experience for students to study at the home of a professional football club. There are a number of perks to being a student at Blackburn Rovers Sports College, and for the 2024-25 football season, all students enrolled will receive a complimentary season ticket funded by Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.
  7. Think the club Iis still struggling with the concept of a deadline. With U18 at £56 and U11 at £23, also 600 available at £300 , we should easily get 10.000 at the very least.
  8. Bolton's cheapest end was the South Stand Lower which holds just over 3000. The price was £249 for a renewal or £279 for a new applicant. This is what the price should be in at least one end at Ewood. Just to attract border line people where price is a real big issue. The ongoing prices are all too expensive, and probably what Waggot will compare his season ticket prices to. He will come out with a lame excuse why we couldn't have a proper early bird rate.
  9. The average away following at Ewood seemed bigger this season.
  10. Well it is a bit late for an early bird price, it's April 10th. i reckon prices will be the same as last year £379 with the Riverside at £329 for all. Don't know what this talk of an introductory offer is, in there . if that price is lower than renewals that would be asking for trouble.
  11. Only 9 clubs have played every season in league football. Stoke City, Notts County and of course Accrington have all had spells in non league. No disgrace to have the other 6 clubs beat us to the big 5000, just means we have spent more seasons in the Premiership than them. Aston Villa will probably be next as though they have spent every season in the Premiership they had a couple of seasons in Division 3 when they played 46 games and Everton would have played 42 in those seasons,
  12. Sa that article and there members club scheme seems to be doing well. " Wanderers are also delighted to pass through the milestone of 50,000 Official Club Members following the launch of the scheme less than two years ago." We are treading water only getting higher season ticket numbers once in 12 years and that was when they went into Administration and couldn't sell tickets until October and then their season was cut short by Covid. We need to do what they do just to improve the atmosphere, they had 3000 tickets at a ultra low price £210/229) but the rest were between £269 and £309 and they sold shed loads. They even sold about 1300 after the early bird because they got the ball rolling and people attract people, Their highest post early bird was £399, only £20 more than our early bird cheapest ticket. Swag won't take the risk as he doesn't believe cheaper prices leads to higher sales. He is tasked to get 2,5 million in and he just about scrapes that so deems himself an absolute maestro by shafting the 8500 faithful and charging top dollar because he knows they will pay it,
  13. Interesting site for attendance buffs, the graph for the Lancashire clubs perfectly illustrates the effect of success has on attendances. The attendances in the fifties/early sixties were massive for all the clubs and all had a lean period in the eighties. The cost of season tickets is also highlighted with a big spike around 2010 when we put the prices down to £199. Average attendance for all the Lancashire founder member since the league started in 1888 shows how close the crowds have been with Preston being the worst as they have spent considerably less time in the top flight. Average attendance Aggregate attendance Bolton 17,072 Bolton 42,406,214 Blackburn 16,040 Blackburn 39,587,877 Burnley 14,421 Burney 36,196,423 Preston 13,367 Preston 34,019,951 BTW all founder member and early league members are at a disadvantage for average attendance as crowds were only around 5 to 10,000 for quite a while after the league started.
  14. Done some research for the figures before the early bird schemes. Preston sold 7.557 in 21/22 then around 12,000 in 22/23. This season they extended the early bird for another 24 hours on Saturday and sold a further 300, and are now on 11,300 for 23/24 Bolton sold 10.500 in 21/22 and introduced their early bird in 222/23 , sold 14.300. This season they have just gone past 15.000, So it has been a great success and shows that people attract people. Last season was PNE's biggest season ticket uptake for 50 years
  15. Preston have confirmed they have sold 11.000 season tickets after their early bird offer finished this morning. Not bad for them. They seem delighted.
