  1. Can't beat that Yorkshire humour, is that why you moved there? 😁 I think that match is the one where you noticed my UFO Bob hat before you recognised me😅
  2. I'll see what I can do, may be better if I try to convince him though eh?
  3. Was at Rotherham a few years ago, we were both struggling and the weather wasn't brilliant. Queued up at a burger van for a brew, an old fella with a Rotherham hat on stood next to me. I said we've come over the hill, but we're not expecting a thriller. He said in his best Yorkshire accent, "well it's a good job lad, cos tha's not getting one".
  4. Could badly do with winning this one,if Boro win tomorrow we'll be 7th,but only 4 points above the relegation zone. A win would keep us bobbing along nicely, Tomasson has enough on his plate without table pressure becoming a factor. Apparently, Hedges turned his ankle in the warm up yesterday. Hopefully he's fit, he sets the tone and I'd fancy us more if he plays. We're more than capable of winning at Wigan, 0-2 Rovers.
  5. I'm right next to the away bench, and he'll certainly get a warm return from me, he certainly did more good than bad. It's a strange phenomenon that our supporters seem compelled to have to counter Tomasson's decisions by making out they know what Mowbray would have done. What is that all about, it's weird, how long will it continue, and who gives a shit anyway?
  6. Looking forward to seeing Hirst, hope he plays. Need a win tomorrow, we can't be letting a 98th minute equaliser go to waste.
  7. Always thought that Brereton would be more likely to go for more money in January, when a team near the bottom of the Prem gambles for safety. If he stays beyond January, I would assume he will have had a good enough season up to that point, for Venkys to keep him, hoping for a decent league finish. With either of those outcomes, nobody could argue that the £6 million wasn't money well spent. He's turned into a cracking player.
  8. Only half heard it but I think Talksport linked Diaz with Leeds.
  9. You should have said earlier, it was pointless even having the conversation.
  10. If you're only managing to give him an OK for last night, it's probably fair to say you've already made your mind up.
  11. Came off last night saying how well Pickering had played, but he can't be expected to play every game all season, we could do with some cover.
  12. Ah well, he's at Wigan now. Time to move on, the future looks bright.
  13. If they won't sign, they won't sign. As it is, it's looking like a good move anyway.
  14. Pickering was important as anyone tonight, probably won us the game with how he kept Bowler so quiet.
  15. They left under the new regime, they couldn't get them to sign a contract either.
  16. When Bowler is as ineffective as that, you know your left back has had a great game.
  17. I'm doing same as last time I went in league 1. End of m55 and head for the airport. As you approach the airport, there's a right turn, St Anne's Road. It leads right up to the ground, and there was free parking in the side streets. We drove right up to the ground then doubled back and parked as close as poss. It's a few years back obviously, but I'm doing the same and hope it's still as it was.
  18. Maybe, just maybe, losing out on Svdb is a handy conclusion for Rovers. Having secured the Hyam signing, which apparently came available since the deal with Liverpool was arranged, it could be that he's surplus to requirements now. If we chase another centre half I'd say we still wanted him. If not, I'd say it's a nice end to it, and keeps the peace with Liverpool.
  19. Brittain, Szmodics and Hyam, have replaced the Fun Boy 3. Van den Berg replaces Van Hecke on loan. Wharton and Morton to step in/up to replace Johnson and Davenport. Hopefully Brereton stays with Hirst(?) giving us options up front, replacing Khadra. We're getting to the point where the squad is ready to hopefully push on from last season.
  20. You could also argue that since Mowbray supposedly massively underachieved last season, after being 2nd at Christmas, that we should be coasting into the play offs at least this season. The cherry picking of "facts" in this argument is mad, I just wish people would leave it and look forward.
  21. Going back to the QPR game, when you're the only player trying to do something creative, and it doesn't come off, it looks like you're the only player losing the ball. He definitely gets the others playing, as he did yesterday, his absence has been overlooked.
  22. You can't on one hand blame the poor performance first half on Mowbray, then say that we were brilliant 2nd half due to the performances of Hedges and Wharton, 2 players here under Mowbray,it just doesn't add up. The transfer market and loan system are there to be used, there are no excuses needed, nor would Tomasson want them. That first half was down to the players and the manager, no excuses. With a few back from injury and a few new faces, we'll be looking stronger on Friday morning, hopefully.
