  1. More ridiculous than a bit harsh.
  2. Might arrive at the same time as Coventry fans dropping off Thomas-Asante 🙄
  3. I honestly couldn't see Eustace pushing any narrative he wasn't comfortable with, on behalf of the club. Unless you want to push that narrative.
  4. You're right, but those 3 players are quality at this level. The fact we were never signing them is a different discussion.
  5. To think there were noses being turned up over the last 2 weeks at O'brien, Brereton and McBurnie.
  6. Good, sorry brother. He needs to keep that up, didn't think he had such a performance in him to be honest. Up to now he's been nuisance value, tonight he looked like he actually knew how to play the position.
  7. You mustn't have fucking watched it then.
  8. Quite the centre forward performance from Gueye, replicate that more often than not and he can be a real asset. It's almost as if a good coach has been working on him. The limitations are obvious and have been well discussed, as my mate said tonight, by the time we get the players back from injury, it will be too late.
  9. Quickly becoming my 2nd and 3rd favourite teams are Leeds and the Blades.
  10. It's always this point that fans turn their anger on other fans, it isn't any fan's fault. It always makes me laugh when the "happy clapper' cliché starts to get thrown about. I always ask the question, what does a non happy clapper actually do that a happy clapper doesn't, other than come on here complaining and call other fellow fans a happy clapper?
  11. Absolutely have to score first in the traditional opening salvo. Expecting yet another typical midweek Championship trudge, another like Portsmouth in the "just win it" category. A win for Rovers and an oh so predictable Boro/West Brom draw could make it a good Tuesday evening.
  12. Thanks Ian, have done 👍 Didn't actually realise myself that it was going well wide.
  13. Got called a Venkys stooge for suggesting this 🙄, but here goes. I'm not particularly bothered whether we pay fees or not. At the £1 million for a forward level, I'd say there's more chance of picking up a better "free" transfer and putting the money towards wages, than buying a forward for 1 or 2 million. That's unless you take a gamble on a lower league player. If we're talking £5 million plus, that's a different matter, but realistically we aren't.
  14. Saw O'brien run the game against us at Huddersfield on his own, he would be the best midfielder at the club, and is the kind of quality we need. Eustace said he wanted 2 or 3 quality additions, well here's one of them. Let the club worry about the money, we won't have to have a whip round on here and pay it.
  15. The O'brien deal would make perfect footballing sense, he'd be a brilliant addition in a position which needs strengthening. He'd arguably be first choice out of the 3. Let the club worry about his wages, if it isn't doable they definitely won't do it.
  16. Don't worry, he's shite, Coventry forum said so, we'll be fine.
  17. My mate didn't notice the deflection, he'd no chance at that pace from that distance.
  18. Don't really think it's luck, it's just a distinct lack of quality from virtually every team.
  19. Looks like we're in trouble then, given we're signing players based on other teams' forums.
  20. Aye, but it hasn't cost us £200, million.
  21. They can't keep winning 1 0, it'll catch up with them.
  22. Got told the other day that we celebrated our draw at The Dome like a win. Thought the champagne was coming out there tonight.
  23. Be a good signing Wallace.
  24. You can't help but like him
  25. From our seats, it looked like he could only head it back across goal. It was a brilliant header.
