  1. Correct decision, great performance. He's as capable of being our best player as he is of having a bad un. He's a very important squad member. Just why the "Hedges and Dolan" thing ever started, I've no idea, Dolan is much more valuable to Rovers.
  2. Norwich, when Tronstad apologised for his own mistake. That pass to the edge of the area is a big part of how Rovers play, it's played umpteen times a game. That we're talking about 2 instances in dozens of games where it went wrong but didn't actually cost us a goal would suggest it works rather well.
  3. You're rewriting history, Tronstad called for the ball, Pears got his angles right and bailed him out. Most importantly it was Tronstad who apologised, I don't know how much evidence you need.
  4. I always say that the one thing Dolan does is set the tempo, and now Ohashi is looking like he's up to speed to help him,and Cantwell doesn't shirk his responsibilities either.
  5. My main grumble has always been that any replacement keeper won't/wouldn't be subjected to the same scrutiny. If a new keeper had come in in the summer and performed the same as Pears has this season, he would be lauded, not scrutinised to the nth degree.
  6. The one at Norwich was, Tronstad asked for the ball, lost it and apologised. Pears still got the blame on here. The fact we're talking about mistakes that didn't actually result in a goal, should in itself suggest he's having a good season.
  7. You could just say Pears is doing fine, which he is.
  8. Only seen it live, but looked like Ohashi probably should have scored, and Beck should definitely have buried the rebound.
  9. Similar to the Boro performance, although we created a lot more against a better team, just how we only scored once is a mystery. Dolan deservedly man of the match, with Tronstad very close behind him. All in all though an excellent team performance, as on Wednesday, no need to single anyone out for criticism today. An unexpected but brilliant 6 points from the last 2 games.
  10. Beat me to that one.
  11. You just never know how Beck would have done against Doak, if there's history between them and all that. Got a feeling it might have made Eustace's mind up for him, although Pickering played well enough at Cardiff to warrant keeping his place anyway.
  12. Not knocking anyone tonight, great team performance, we're actually looking like a well coached team. In hindsight, playing Pickering was probably as important a selection as any. He'd a good game against a supposedly brilliant opponent.
  13. If you've 10 years of drainage behind you, I'm not doing the rodding😁
  14. To be honest, that does sound as unofficial as it gets.
  15. I've just seen a video showing the height of the river, and a separate still of the pitch drain underwater. I'd imagine that's the problem.
  16. To be honest, i wasn't disappointed it was off, and if it was unplayable at 11,it definitely was at 3 so correct decision. Shame for the Pompey faithful, but this weather was predicted a good while ago. Whenever a game is called off, there will always be questions asked. I always find the "why are they playing and we're not" argument a bit ridiculous.
  17. Yet again, I know very well they aren't REALLY staying away because of the Venkys.
  18. Matters not whether Buckley plays or Messi if you're staying away because of the Venkys 🙄
  19. I wish him luck, didn't see Lineker with his hand up, the weasel. Great day for football fans, he's leaving match of the day, I'll be able to watch it with the sound on.
  20. Another penalty given by head set, there's no way the ref was giving Burnley that pen. Same happened to Rovers at Watford. There either is, or there isn't var in the Championship.
  21. The clash with the kids' footy is undoubtedly awkward. Grandkids to be more accurate.
  22. Overhead kick if you haven't seen it, great finish.
  23. I know what you said, if you read this forum it sometimes is as if Pears is the only keeper who makes mistakes. You haven't addressed your fabrication, how do you come to that conclusion without actually knowing the stats?
  24. Travis does have it in his locker, yesterday's pass was on a par with the one at QPR.
