  1. Gueye throws him in the net.
  2. Has anyone turned the under soil heating on? What with having half a squad missing, no money to buy anyone, and all this bad weather expected.
  3. Aye well, we both know that isn't really how it works. Let me know how many partnerships get 25 or 30 apiece.
  4. I don't see why we can't just give a player plaudits without slaughtering another one, it's the same with Beck and Pickering. If you're determined to compare, you can't do it without considering that Gallagher has partnered 3 of the best goalscorers we've had in recent years. Maybe ask Szmodics, Brereton and Armstrong who they'd rather play with.
  5. Arise Sir Gareth, Some need to remember the mess the England set up was in before he took over and transformed the kids. It is his overall input which has led to the honour. Easy to criticise, but we've gone from a country which had players making excuses not to play, to a country where just making the final isn't now deemed good enough. That's some transformation under one bloke. Well deserved in my opinion.
  6. The keeper and his defence are one, or at least should be.
  7. You do seem to do a lot of "scrambling around" yourself. For some reason, you've taken it upon yourself to try to disprove any potential positive.
  8. He's started affecting games in a positive way. If he doesn't win the header today, we don't score. If he doesn't bail his keeper out at Wednesday, we don't win from the goal he scored. If he doesn't head the ball down to Weimann, we don't score at the Dome. I could go on. If Cantwell had as much involvement at both ends, we'd be happy. I don't see why you have such a problem
  9. The assist police won't let him have it, there is no doubt that he has once again affected the game, he's definitely improving. I thought Cozier-Duberry made the wrong decision to be honest.
  10. It was the club "saving face" comment I said was OTT, if that's what you're referring to.
  11. I said before the Sunderland game we'd miss him, we needed his experience against Roberts with Beck in front, the way Pickering nullified Doaks threat against Boro. Why it has to be a Beck v Pickering thing I don't know ? I simply said I don't know why anyone would think we wouldn't miss him.
  12. I can't believe anyone actually thought we wouldn't miss Pickering.
  13. I've been really surprised by Cantwell's workrate, you can't knock his effort. It does make me wonder if the role he's playing is detracting from his quality on the ball.
  14. Cozier-Duberry should have put us in front first half as well.
  15. To be honest, i don't think we'd sell many more in that end anyway, the Blackburn end has only just sold out. Then there would be the extra stewarding /segregation outside which currently isn't a problem. We've well surpassed the home figure I was expecting, I haven't really lost any sleep over another 300. I know we could always do better, no matter what it is, but the "face saving" comments regarding the netting are a bit ott, in my opinion.
  16. Virtually none of those derbies had years of away fans having to travel on dedicated transport.
  17. If you want to write it off with 3 different partners, be my guest.
  18. The thing with Gally was that he was never a prolific goalscorer, but those that played alongside him were.
  19. I've watched it a few times, it's perfect. I can't help but like him to be fair,he might be a lunatic, but he's our lunatic 😁. Credit where it's due though, he's improving.
  20. The defender put his hands on his head, looked like he played at it.
  21. Batth didn't win the header, as someone pointed out after the game, from the camera behind the goal, it's clear Gueye heads it, it's too low for Batth to have reached it. It's a lovely cushioned header for Leonard to equalise.
  22. Dolan is, for some reason, held to much higher standards than anyone else. He even has his very own 38 page thread. In that respect, he doesn't do too badly.
  23. Thing is though, he was our best player in the first half, just a pity he had his goal wrongly chalked off, even their defender it came off put his hands on his head.
  24. We'll miss him if he leaves, of that I have no doubt. To replace him would take more money than we could afford, the common sense thing to do would be to secure his services.
  25. The game changed when Gueye came on, we actually started playing in their half. There's no doubt he's improving after a good display and winner at Wednesday, and a good sub appearance and assist for the equaliser yesterday.
