  1. Pears JRC Carter. Hyam Pickering Travis Wharton. Moran Szmodics. Siggurdson Leonard
  2. Enjoyed the traditional version of Wild Rover last night, how it should be. Cracking entertainment last night, although it was already 1-1 when we got in, the M65 was closed due to a young lad threatening to throw himself off Shad bridge. Thankfully he didn't.
  3. If the JW appeared anywhere near being sold out you might just have a a point, but it'll be half full at best.
  4. I read somewhere that the JW stand seats 11000 or thereabouts. If we sold out 11000 tickets for Cardiff at home in the League cup, I'd be as delighted as I would be amazed.
  5. We got moved out of the JW lower into the Blackburn end for the Barnet cup game, Barnet fans were in our section.
  6. Looks like Agnes will put paid to the potential walk up tomorrow night.
  7. Looking forward to it, quite like watching a few fresh faces, particularly looking to see how Gilsenan does. Poor decision to close the Blackburn end, but staying away was never an option.
  8. I haven't particularly defended Pears, I've more called out some of the ridiculous scrutiny of some of the goals he's conceded, particularly the ones at Rotherham and home to Hull. You've summed up the situation perfectly, it is time for a change. My worry would be that if Wahlstedt is subjected to the same scrutiny, he'll be written off before he's had a chance. On the Kaminski thing, some just won't let it lie, he quite literally did throw one in against West Ham. We wish him well but he's gone.
  9. If we defend like that, it won't matter who's in goal.
  10. The mistakes started in the 2nd minute with Wharton's terrible ball through for Leonard, and carried on with regularity.
  11. Fancy us to beat anyone, and I mean anyone if we take our chances. I think we'll be too good for Ipswich and come away with 3 points. Pears Brittain Carter Hyam Pickering Wharton Travis Moran Hedges Szmodics Telalovic I think it's time to play Telalovic, Leonard has struggled more away from home.
  12. He was left wing back actually, we went to 3/5 at the back,as he'd also played right wing back.
  13. He did, and Tomasson played him at left back, nothing if not versatile.
  14. The fact is we win more when he plays, I know that's a minor point. What we need is someone else to take his place and raise that percentage rate, whether they score goals or not doesn't really matter.
  15. Preston have averaged 747 home fans more than us over the first 3 games. I suppose the question has to be how does that equate to both clubs' revenue? Another 2-1 win on Wednesday.
  16. I don't know what they're watching on Sky. The ball bounces high, Berge looks at the ball, lifts his arm towards the ball and knocks it on with his arm. If he doesn't handball it, they don't score.
  17. Good that, ta. The Boro fans certainly thought it was in,it's a great save. Like you say, the tv highlights didn't do it justice.
  18. Yeah Yeah, good that, I'd forgotten I called the ref's advantage at the time, before the second goal. At least he got something right.
  19. I said today that Joe RC always seems to run out of steam when he starts a game. Hedges is some athlete, not a problem for him in particular.
  20. I always get on the last, deepest lying player when running the grandkids line, if the linesman is in line with Crook, even he can't miss it.
  21. Great win, they're all great wins but as most have said, we didn't half make hard work of it. I'm feeling it for Dolan to be honest, he maybe needs taking out of it for a while, that was an absolute sitter, although from my angle, Gallagher's looked like it was a bit behind him and wasn't as gilt edged. Pears got away with one, but made some cracking saves, especially late on when he definitely got his angles right in a one on one to win the match. On the whole he had a great game to bounce back well. Szmodics could, should have had a hat trick but what a performance. He epitomises what a fan wants a player to give.
  22. I always think Hendry, but different scenarios to be fair.
  23. If there had been 3 or 4 games left when Kaminski came back, I might agree. I might be wrong but I'm sure there was quite a chunk of the season left when he was fit enough to return. Kaminski was fit, Tomasson chose Pears. Why it's so unpalatable to accept that he may actually think he's the better keeper for the way he wants to play, is strange. As for tomorrow, he must know by now if Wahlstedt is a better option. Hopefully he's the keeper we need and looking good in training. A home game following Pears' performance at Plymouth would seem the perfect opportunity to throw him in.
