Not sure how many ounces are left in the current squad for Eustace to squeeze out, without significant help.
-
It'll catch up with them, it's inevitable.

That's another thing that happens on a regular basis, "Hedges and Dolan", as if people can't mention one without the other. Dolan is, by far, the more effective player. Put both up for sale and Dolan would be worth a lot more. Going back to last night, can you think of anything else positive to comment on in Dolans performance, or was it just the one thing? -

I think he suffers same as Nyambe to be honest. People go into games looking for the negatives and don't acknowledge the positives. Constantly highlight the negatives and don't acknowledge the positives and you soon have yourself a poorer player. As I've said before, if the team as a whole puts in a poor performance, Dolan is criticised more than most, the criticism is disproportionate. -

Keep it real, he'd absolutely no chance with the goal at Oxford for a start. -

I agreed with you, it was a "typical" performance. Do you think he played well? Certainly everyone around us stood up and clapped him off -

It was a "typical" Dolan performance, he had a good game overall, and the cross was better than good. -

I thought Hedges going off was more of a turning point, but I haven't watched it back. Their threat down their right increased after he went off. -

The calls for Cozier-Duberry to start have all but disappeared. He just isn't capable of delivering a performance with the intensity Dolan gave last night. It's no wonder clubs send their young players away to "grow up". He's looked a bit lost of late, hopefully the first half of the season stands him in good stead and he can help the team during the run in. -

Hedges was good, given his time again Eustace would have left him on. That one sub was the game changer, I think Eustace thought it was job done. -

It's a perfect example of someone making their mind up before we've even kicked off. Dolan did play well, he was all over the pitch and what a ball for the first goal. -

It's as if someone's given Gueye a book on how to play football and said read that. He was already a handful, but more nuisance value. He's now looking like a proper centre forward. It must be a nightmare for defenders knowing the ball is coming in and he's behind you,and what a peach of a ball it was from Dolan. Given his time again, Eustace would have left Hedges on, that one substitution changed the game in Preston's favour. Overall though, a good performance and a great win against a team in form which definitely fancied itself. -
Aye, must be happening though if Lancs are reporting it. As you say, actually signing him is a different matter.
-
Radio Lancs saying Kargbo flying in tonight, deal agreed, medical tomorrow.

It might be the end of January, but Pears has cost us a goal. Told you so.

I think that's down to last season and before,he was a liability. If we'd signed him in the summer, and it took until January until he made a goal costing mistake which was definitely down to him, we'd all be happy. -
I posted earlier on the Bristol match thread, I watched the match with their commentary. Their commentator said everything good that Blackburn have done has come through Dolan. I tended to agree
-
He doesn't want to sign what he's been offered is more like it. He certainly hasn't downed tools.
-
If he was at another club, we couldn't afford to buy him. His contract needs sorting asap
-
Which makes the opinion that we should sell Dolan even more baffling.

He's doing OK, it isn't as if we're going to replace him with Alisson. -

I watched yesterday's game with the Bristol commentary, and I quote, "everything good Blackburn have done has come through Dolan". -

The praise this season has gone to "the defence". How many times have I read that Pears had nothing to do because of "the defence"? It's almost as if he hasn't been part of it. Last season got to ridiculous levels. I'm not talking about the obvious mistakes, I'm talking about the ones like that pass out to Markanday that you yourself highlighted. When it got to those levels, it just got too much. -

It has calmed down this season, mainly because there hasn't been reason to criticise him. Some of the criticism last season was absolutely ridiculous, most of it prior to finding out that Wahlsted was a disaster. -
God knows how you found it, but cheers.
