  1. Trouble is, if it's on the Plymouth game, most of the team are being dropped.
  2. I got the feeling a draw suited all parties to be honest. Can't have been easy when the England fans probably half wanted Ukraine to win 😁
  3. Mentally, quite a difficult game to play in I'd imagine, good result all round
  4. What we need is someone up front to outscore Gallagher. With the stick he gets, it should be easily done by all 3 of the other new forwards. If that were to happen, then we'd be right up there. If not, and none of the new forwards manages to oust Gally from the first 11,or even first substitute, then the window will be a 4/10 at best.
  5. Yeah, that's a fair comment, the goalposts were moved halfway through.
  6. I like listening to Eyre, he also said he coached Hill early on. Said he thought he might revert to full back from centre back because of his long throw.
  7. Listened to radio Lancs earlier, Steve Eyre said he'd coached Tronstad at Huddersfield, never really saw him as good enough for Championship football. He thought Rovers would have been better keeping Buckley and putting the Tronstad money towards a forward.
  8. If you gave Rotherham 30 or £40 million, they'd be right up there. If you give any manager 30 or 40 million on top of a squad containing Barnes, Gudmundson, Rodriguez, Brownhill, Cork, Taylor and the rest he inherited,to fail he'd have to not want to go up in such a weak division.
  9. I've been saying it since the Rotherham game about Pears, there were some saying he could /should have saved both those goals, same against Hull. The trouble with that is, either the magnifying glass gets put away when Wahlstedt gets his chance, or the lad will be put under ridiculous pressure and there will be calls for Pears to come back in,because neither keeper has any chance with any of them. I even read yesterday that Kaminski would have saved Plymouth's second goal, that's after literally throwing one in on Friday night. I couldn't care less if Pears never puts the gloves on again, but some of the criticism over the past few weeks has been nothing short of ridiculous.
  10. Yes, if Tomasson has been looking for a genuine reason to replace Pears, he now has at least one. The second goal wasn't a complete cock up, but the 3rd one........ It'll be a bit of a worry if Tomasson feels Pears should keep the gloves.
  11. I can only assume you're going off Tronstad's performances for his old team. On the two appearances alongside Travis, as far as I can remember, he's been hooked after an hour, one of which Travis was as good as anyone (against West Brom).
  12. The trouble is, the replacements aren't good enough to replace them. GB and Tomasson are lucky to have inherited a good squad, the new signings are supposed to improve it.
  13. The Plymouth commentary couldn't believe their luck and were really complimentary to be fair. It must be so deflating for the team to play so well early on, but miss 2 great chances, 1 a sitter. In amongst the calamaties, there was some good stuff.
  14. Watched with Plymouth commentary, "Blackburn must wonder how they're 3 down". Pears hasn't covered himself in glory, but you can't miss chances like that first half.
  15. I said a couple of weeks ago, it may be best to start Leonard in home games, it's a massive ask to lead the line at places like Watford. I don't think we've enough depth to let him go on loan, and at the moment it's needs must, but Tomasson should be able to manage his workload better after the break.
  16. He probably does, but we surely just don't have the numbers.
  17. Why did Usyk go down holding his balls then? That was the giveaway, clearly he was out boxed, but Dubois should have the belts this morning,as Frampton said. Just to keep it on topic, fancy us for 1-2 today.
  18. Just hope Gavin Ward is on better form than the ref at the Dubois fight, got robbed there did the lad.
  19. Yeah, it's difficult to predict, I just don't fancy Brittain at left back.
  20. Pears Carter Hyam Wharton Jrc. Wharton Travis Buckley Hedges Szmodics Gallagher
  21. That's a fair assessment, I'm not supporting Pears or otherwise, just highlighting his ridiculous examination over the last 2 games. Hopefully the magnifying glasses will be put back in the drawer as and when Wahlstedt gets his chance, otherwise he's destined to fail.
