  1. Gueye played well at Wednesday and scored the winner. He came on yesterday and without doubt helped to change the flow of the game and set Leonard up for the equaliser. He's getting better, he's affecting games in a positive way, and the opposition are very wary of him. Six assists and one goal, plus his aerial presence when we're defending corners is a good start over half a season.
  2. Don't turn up tomorrow.
  3. Yeah, similar situation, it does look like Baath at first, I thought it was. From behind the goal, the ball looks too low for Baath to have headed it.
  4. As someone said earlier, the camera behind the goal shows that Gueye heads it.
  5. Didn't realise it was Dolan who set Ohashi up, and Gueye set up Leonard. Good day for the attacking players.
  6. Pickering had Doak in his pocket at Boro, said earlier we'll miss him, the option of Beck In front of Pickering against the likes of Roberts was always the number one choice.
  7. I'm not saying he's Drogba, but we didn't get in their half until he came on, Sunderland were definitely wary, and he set Leonard up. He's now affecting games.
  8. He belonged on that one today, thought the game changed when he came on.
  9. It's more the money side, Gallagher was the biggest earner and Rovers were offered a fee for him as well. If it was a matter of money, Gallagher would have been first out of the door.
  10. Never really believed it was a money thing to be honest,it never really added up.
  11. It is strange bringing it up,it's all over this thread. It's also strange that anyone would want our own manager, any manager, to appear to have a worse record, I've never really thought about it that way before.
  12. When you think about it, it was a strange situation that some were so vehemently opposed to crediting Eustace with the Stoke win.
  13. I don't remember anyone predicting it would sell out, quite the opposite considering the price.
  14. If it's the Swansea McBurnie, I'd take him tomorrow. Just seems to have lost his way a bit, maybe he needs a spell being the main man again.
  15. Bit harsh, came at him quickly and he cleared it where he could. I didn't think at the time he did a lot wrong.
  16. Eustace is squeezing every ounce out of a limited squad, we will inevitably sometimes come up short. Don't really think Millwall did enough to deserve the win but they put their chance away and Cozier-Duberry missed ours. Those are the margins in a Championship where there's a fag paper between a lot of teams. The lads should be proud of their achievements up to now, 5th on Christmas day is a remarkable position.
  17. Think going down to 10 was probably more of a factor
  18. No issue with anyone commenting on anything, I just never saw the point in carrying it into this season. Yourself and R99 obviously did, difference of opinions, that's all.
  19. The complaint, as I remember it, was that we hadn't won a game. The focus only switched to "home" games after we'd won a couple away.
  20. Some was undoubtedly valid, but he was brought in to do a job and thankfully did it. I just never saw the need to carry Stokegate and the rest of it into this season. There is no doubt that a poor start would have seen his record from last season being carried into this one,it has been left behind because of our excellent start.
  21. As I said after the Leicester match, I'd give him a clean slate from the start of the new season. Never saw the point of carrying the hand wringing of last season into this one, considering the situation he inherited.
  22. There you go, an insight into how this board would have looked if we'd started poorly.
  23. You can tell he's doing well, there's virtually no criticism of his interviews any more. Also, his record from last season isn't mentioned any more( until this thread). Pound to a penny,if we'd had a poor start, it would have been dragged into the conversation at every opportunity. Thankfully, Stokegate is a thing of the past. As painful as it was, there's no doubt that his time in charge last season is now looking like a real bonus for preparing for the current one.
