I agree about Swansea, win and we'll be looking up, lose and we'll be looking down. It does show how ridiculously fickle the football world is when there will still be 36 games left.

I watched with Plymouth commentary, I usually listen to the other team's coverage to get a different opinion(and ours do my head in). The Plymouth side weren't as dismissive of Gueye as some of our own fans,they were definitely wary of him. I agree it is early days, he hasn't had as bad a start as some are making out. Maybe needs to start a few on the trot.

Just in general.

We've been really poor last 2, but it's as if the previous 7 didn't happen. We're a point outside the play offs after 9 games. More importantly we're 8 clear of the bottom 3, which if we're all honest is what we were looking at before the season started. There's an international break now for some to get things back into perspective.

A quick look at the table and we're doing fine, in fact better than fine, certainly much better than anyone expected. We've played a home game less, win against Swansea and it will no doubt mean a play off position. Some of the stick Eustace is getting is way over the top, given the start to the season and position in the table.

It's a part of his game he'll definitely have to work on, assess the technical ability of the player he's passing to before he gives it to them. Thought he should have actually had another assist, Ohashi should have scored early on.

Let's review it in another 8 games, whoever is in goal. Just checked, that's Boro away and is the 8th game of a very tough looking run. Be interesting to see how it goes.

Just being devil's advocate, and by way of scientific experiment, how many points has Pears gained us and lost us after 8 games?

Cantwell didn't look anywhere near ready for that game, as with the suggestion of giving Cozier-Duberry his debut, I just never thought this game was the place to change anything.

I think Eustace will be kicking himself, Coventry away was never the place to try something different.

I'd be starting Gueye at Coventry.

You're trying to convince the wrong person, it isn't me picking the team. I would say though, that Hedges has been a regular in one of 2 teams that haven't yet lost. Why anyone would change it in favour of giving a young winger his debut, away at Coventry when we've full back trouble doesn't really seem logical to me.

Coventry away, when we've trouble at both full backs, seems like the least perfect place to blood a young winger to me.

He's the obvious choice to start the game, especially if Pickering is any doubt like yesterday. He offers flexibility as the game goes on. I'd say that Coventry away is no place to be giving Cozier-Duberry his first start,even more so with the problems at full back.

For this one definitely, I wouldn't change Dolan or Hedges, the other 2 places are up for debate.

Back 7 picks itself, unless the injury/illness situation changes before Tuesday. Can't see Cozier-Duberry starting this one, nor would I pick him , I think he'll have to wait a while yet. I do think Gueye will start , with Dolan, Hedges and Weimann.

I was actually saying at the ground that I'd take Travis off at half time, given the card situation. Wrong yet again.
