  1. You never know.i know it's wishful thinking but if Rovers were taking this long over buying someone, we'd be wondering if it would ever happen. 🤞
  2. Time for the shop to order in some of those white headbands 🇯🇵
  3. Just replace Chris Samba with Makhtar Gueye, it works I've road tested it.
  4. Yeah it's time to go, but it wasn't just Szmodics was it?. Not that it matters any more, he's gone, hope the new lad more than fills his boots😌
  5. All that and you overlooked his biggest positive of all, whoever plays with him usually ends up at the top of the scoring charts.
  6. You gave him a 5,before we kicked off.
  7. Our man of the match away at Preston, you probably gave him a 5.
  8. It would be interesting to hear what they have to say. I'm not against selling him, if he won't sign then he has to go, I'm just apprehensive about having to replace both him and Szmodics at the same time. Obviously a lot of people think he can be replaced easily, I hope that's the case but I think it's a big ask all at once. I'm 100% sure Eustace would rather him extend his contract, rather than try to replace him at the same time as Szmodics.
  9. It's probably better to ask Armstrong, Brereton and Szmodics what his contribution has been. If we can get £1.5 million for him, he has to go if he's no intention of signing a new contract. Replacing his goals alone shouldn't be a problem, replacing his overall contribution to the team and the overall scoring record of the forward line might prove more difficult. Will you be claiming you were right if the replacement scores 7 or 8,but nobody else reaches double figures? I sincerely hope you are right and we stay up comfortably, but I do fear trying to replace both him and Szmodics at the same time will be a big ask.
  10. He must have worked hard on it in training, with all his different partners, cos it kept working 🤣
  11. My most compelling arguments for keeping Gallagher are that by now he should be paid for, and his partners over the past 5 years have scored bucket loads.
  12. We won't get enough to replace him, I was actually hoping he'd have his contract extended. If as expected, we're looking to rely on the younger forwards more, he would have been a tried and tested experienced head to partner any young player on the pitch.
  13. Glad you said it, as unlikely as it seems, they have to be given the chance to make signings once player sales happen.
  14. Yeah, but that was then and this is now. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  15. I meant "we" as meaning the club, I don't think I'm alone in referring to the club as "we". Sorry, kinell 😬
  16. I don't know where you've got the double argument from,I've no idea what you mean. My point is that if we'd received at least £8 straight for Raya, it would have been well received by most people. From my point of view, I'd have been amazed.
  17. We reportedly received £3 million up front, we've since received another £5 million at least. That's how I understand it.
  18. If we'd been offered £8 million for Raya when he left, anyone would have snatched their hand off.
  19. I very much hope that the dislike of Hyam isn't on the same planet as Duffy
  20. As Tommy Doc said to Leighton James, you're very deceptive Leighton, you're slower than you look.
  21. Venky’s favourite, "Can't give you more".
