I'm thinking round about that figure for a potential bid. I don't think anyone will offer enough for Rovers to be tempted, I'd be both shocked and furious if we accepted anything in the £6 million bracket. My main worry would be if a Prem club made an unsatisfactory offer, yet Szmodics made it clear he wanted to go. Not a good situation.

Replacing Szmodics' goals will be a big problem, as was replacing Brereton's before him, and Armstrong before him. The conundrum being, Gallagher partnered/played alongside all 3 prolific goalscorers, yet the answer to the problem seems to be to get rid of him for nothing. It would seem an odd solution.

I keep hearing about his wages, it isn't as if we all have to chip in and pay him, if he accepts a contract that the club can afford, what's the problem? How much would any experienced replacement want? Will they want paying? Would there be a transfer fee?
