  1. About 30 seconds before Siggurdson's name appeared on the board, we were saying how much he'd put into the game. Last week on here I doubted his attitude, tonight he covered as much ground as anyone, he made recovery runs from first minute to the last, and scored a great goal. He may or may not have been man of the match, but he certainly answered some questions.
  2. Getting some stick Moran, he had an off night but he never ever hides, he kept making the runs and wanting the ball, he's a good player and we're a better team with him in it. Tronstad excellent although he nearly cost us at the death, and Wahlstedt now looks like he belongs, the save with his chest at the back post late on was Schmeichel esque. Difficult to be critical of anyone tonight when we've won with 9 of our own in the squad. It was a night to just get the 3 points and that's what they did. Brilliant result under the circumstances.
  3. Yeah, could do with a win just to keep the scoreboard ticking over and keep us in touch. Difficult with so many injuries, but maybe the starting 11 needs freshening up a touch, if only for the first hour or so.
  4. Spence was an eye opener, Gnonto before him was the real example of the gulf between the two teams. Looked it up, Gruev also cost £6 million apparently.
  5. I'm really wondering if Siggurdson is up for the fight. There was great/hopeful expectation on here when he was making his way to fitness. He now can't even get in the starting line up with a full team missing. On his last start, Markanday had a hand in both goals first half against QPR, then strangely got the hook at half time. With the squad as it is, I'd like to see him at least given a chance. It seems a bit premature for some to be writing him off.
  6. Said at half time, it's like an FA cup game and we've been drawn at home against a Premier league team. Good effort today, some good football but if you don't shoot you don't score. It's time for Markanday to get a run in place of Brittain in my opinion,he offers little if anything going forward. As someone said earlier, 2 points off the play offs at this stage, considering the circumstances is a cracking effort.
  7. That game perfectly highlighted how pivotal Dolan has been in our run of away games. Without him we just don't have that buzz.
  8. Fine performance on Lancs last night sir😊
  9. Thinking back to when Sigurdsson was on his way to fitness and the hopes being pinned on him, who would have believed that he wouldn't get in the starting 11 with 10 injuries? What has happened?
  10. I always say I'll bet nobody messes with JRC in training. Probably the last dirty, nasty shit house was Lucas Neil, and I say that with the greatest respect cos I did like him.
  11. Main difference, I think, is that last season lesser teams sat back and hoped to cling on for a draw. This season, every team they've played has better players and managers, and have expected to take the 3 points.
  12. Mission accomplished ☺️
  13. He looks a class above, and importantly he looks fit. The pass for Szmodics's first goal looked simple but was the perfect pace on the ball. The volleyed pass for his second belonged at a higher level. He'll definitely unlock doors, the physicality might prove a problem and will no doubt be tested on Friday. Got a feeling it might be one of those where they take it in turns to foul him.
  14. Not a chance Moran wouldn't be in my team.
  15. Given that we're so light on numbers, I don't think there's one team selection including Sigurdsson, who would have thought that before he was coming back from injury?
  16. I'd say it's a case of needs must.
  17. Dolan was superb, I gave him man of the match on the voting. Some of the blocks and willingness to defend yesterday were brilliant, and much needed.
  18. We can all have any opinion we want, it's the taking as fact that Kaminski would have gained us more points that's the problem. We'll never know, however much people convince themselves.
  19. Full backs will be critical, it's crucial they stop the crosses coming in.
  20. We'll never know if he made the wrong decision, unless you know what the results would have been with Kaminski in goal. I don't know why it's so difficult to accept that Tomasson preferred Pears, it's his job to pick the team and he lives or dies by the results. He preferred Pears and picked him accordingly.
  21. Whether anyone on here preferred Pears is irrelevant, Tomasson preferred him. I know it doesn't sit well with quite a few, but that's his it was.
  22. Cracking result, chuffed for Dolan particularly, and Moran showed why he needs to stay in the team. Don't want to tempt fate here, but Ched Evans must be licking his lips at anything in the air on Friday night, he will just take the lot. Absolutely critical our possession game is on song against Preston, we can't afford to give them cheap possession in dangerous areas. At all costs, we need to stop the crosses.
  23. Brilliant 🤣🤣🤣
  24. No, he was talking about Dolan's lack of form, all good debate.
