No, he's still here. Always say about the goals, they're too big for Frazer Forster and he's nearly 7 feet tall.
-
Don't know if you're aware, Lucas Neil runs the Accy Stanley girls/women, and a fine job he's doing.

The best analogy I've heard is the 100 metres. As someone asked, do you watch the women's 100m Olympic and all the way through the competition compare it to the men's? No you don't, you just accept that it's different. Sky and the rest seem to have backed off with the comparisons. They are/were ridiculous and do the women's game no favours whatsoever. The women's game should be left to it's own merits.

To be fair, I hadn't really thought of it from Leeds' point of view until I heard that discussion. It's their way of protecting their own fans from being fleeced, which we all know would definitely happen. -

Heard on Talksport the other day, the £47 away ticket at Leeds is just the starting point. The journo said that Leeds will look to do a "deal" with every other club. He said that if you end up paying the full whack, it will be the fault of Leeds AND your own club. So if Rovers agree a cheaper price, Leeds will reciprocate. Sorry if it's already been said. -
Swords of a thousand men should be the walkout music, although anything rather than The final soddin countdown.

Whatever the situation and whatever the occasion, Quo would never, EVER be the wrong choice.

The midfield started to receive the ball from the defence and actually turn with it, rather than automatically passing it back to where it came from. Morton in particular was just starting to play more positively, shame he got injured when he did imo. It also has to be said, it started to click more when Pears came in. Whether we played more fluently because of him, or whether the team was getting better and it looked like Pears made the difference is open to debate.

He'd say he's earned it 😁

Crafty Warnock, making the friendlies come to him. Who do they play next, Truro?

We sit 2nd row back in the JW. Towards the end of the season Hedges was playing right wing and we were surprised just how vocal he was. Also, I just get the impression he's a real team player,he certainly puts it in. To be honest, it isn't something that keeps me awake at night either way, but I've always thought he seemed a good sort.
-
If he played more, Hedges would be the man for captain. Here we have a proper team player who isn't shy to open his mouth. It needs a more senior player, who will play a majority of games. Give it Pickering and see him flourish.

Tomasson explained his reason for playing possession football, it's to showcase the talent of our younger players, and show that they can play that style of football. Only then would the top teams pay big money for them. Obviously the plan would be to be successful playing that way, and there were signs in the second half of the season that the players were adapting. It's all part of the "project", I suppose it's like it or lump it.

Thought Markanday showed up as well as anyone going forward In the first game. His cracking run and cross first half would have brought a goal but for a great save. Buckley got on, that was the main thing. A real bonus to see him out there.

Is Barnes expected to play?

Another day being offended on other people's behalf. Do you work for the BBC? -

It is if you're complaining about it, I would have thought that was obvious, even to you. -

Didn't know that,a nice touch that I'm assuming has been missed by many of those complaining. -

It's alright, bit like the last 10,for anyone who doesn't like it, don't worry, there'll be another along shortly. Went in the Stanley club shop Tuesday for a couple of tickets, their new shirt is on sale. It's got a brick wall design on it, Inspired idea whoever thought of it. -
Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?
M_B replied to damo100's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
7 of us sit virtually together,we've all renewed. A family of 4 got tickets near us for the first time last season, they aren't renewing due to fixtures being moved, they missed a good few games last season. -
Mowbray took over a basket case of a club and left us with the 2nd youngest squad in the division which just finished 7th,the highest position since we went down. Tomasson looks the perfect fit to take the club forward. Mowbray did his job, Tomasson is taking it on, but there's no point in trying to compare the two jobs, they're miles apart. Tomasson wouldn't have touched the club Mowbray inherited with a bargepole.

Not to mention a trip to Ipswich. It's half the stand.

So then the question is, do you think those prices would tempt people enough to sell another 3.5k? I'd be extremely dubious at those prices personally, but hopefully you're right. It should definitely help to prevent any fall off of any existing holders for next season. -

12k would be great, but by the time you've reduced the price for the 8 or 9000 regulars in line with the newbies, would it pay the bills? And obviously, the more you reduce the price, more would have to be sold to make up the difference. If they haven't polled former ticket holders, then they need to. I'd love to fill the bottom tiers, I'd be happy if the club had a 2000(?) free section for people who want to go but simply can't afford.
