  1. The mistakes started in the 2nd minute with Wharton's terrible ball through for Leonard, and carried on with regularity.
  2. Fancy us to beat anyone, and I mean anyone if we take our chances. I think we'll be too good for Ipswich and come away with 3 points. Pears Brittain Carter Hyam Pickering Wharton Travis Moran Hedges Szmodics Telalovic I think it's time to play Telalovic, Leonard has struggled more away from home.
  3. He was left wing back actually, we went to 3/5 at the back,as he'd also played right wing back.
  4. He did, and Tomasson played him at left back, nothing if not versatile.
  5. The fact is we win more when he plays, I know that's a minor point. What we need is someone else to take his place and raise that percentage rate, whether they score goals or not doesn't really matter.
  6. Preston have averaged 747 home fans more than us over the first 3 games. I suppose the question has to be how does that equate to both clubs' revenue? Another 2-1 win on Wednesday.
  7. I don't know what they're watching on Sky. The ball bounces high, Berge looks at the ball, lifts his arm towards the ball and knocks it on with his arm. If he doesn't handball it, they don't score.
  8. Good that, ta. The Boro fans certainly thought it was in,it's a great save. Like you say, the tv highlights didn't do it justice.
  9. Yeah Yeah, good that, I'd forgotten I called the ref's advantage at the time, before the second goal. At least he got something right.
  10. I said today that Joe RC always seems to run out of steam when he starts a game. Hedges is some athlete, not a problem for him in particular.
  11. I always get on the last, deepest lying player when running the grandkids line, if the linesman is in line with Crook, even he can't miss it.
  12. Great win, they're all great wins but as most have said, we didn't half make hard work of it. I'm feeling it for Dolan to be honest, he maybe needs taking out of it for a while, that was an absolute sitter, although from my angle, Gallagher's looked like it was a bit behind him and wasn't as gilt edged. Pears got away with one, but made some cracking saves, especially late on when he definitely got his angles right in a one on one to win the match. On the whole he had a great game to bounce back well. Szmodics could, should have had a hat trick but what a performance. He epitomises what a fan wants a player to give.
  13. I always think Hendry, but different scenarios to be fair.
  14. If there had been 3 or 4 games left when Kaminski came back, I might agree. I might be wrong but I'm sure there was quite a chunk of the season left when he was fit enough to return. Kaminski was fit, Tomasson chose Pears. Why it's so unpalatable to accept that he may actually think he's the better keeper for the way he wants to play, is strange. As for tomorrow, he must know by now if Wahlstedt is a better option. Hopefully he's the keeper we need and looking good in training. A home game following Pears' performance at Plymouth would seem the perfect opportunity to throw him in.
  15. Trouble is, if it's on the Plymouth game, most of the team are being dropped.
  16. I got the feeling a draw suited all parties to be honest. Can't have been easy when the England fans probably half wanted Ukraine to win 😁
  17. Mentally, quite a difficult game to play in I'd imagine, good result all round
  18. What we need is someone up front to outscore Gallagher. With the stick he gets, it should be easily done by all 3 of the other new forwards. If that were to happen, then we'd be right up there. If not, and none of the new forwards manages to oust Gally from the first 11,or even first substitute, then the window will be a 4/10 at best.
  19. Yeah, that's a fair comment, the goalposts were moved halfway through.
  20. I like listening to Eyre, he also said he coached Hill early on. Said he thought he might revert to full back from centre back because of his long throw.
  21. Listened to radio Lancs earlier, Steve Eyre said he'd coached Tronstad at Huddersfield, never really saw him as good enough for Championship football. He thought Rovers would have been better keeping Buckley and putting the Tronstad money towards a forward.
  22. If you gave Rotherham 30 or £40 million, they'd be right up there. If you give any manager 30 or 40 million on top of a squad containing Barnes, Gudmundson, Rodriguez, Brownhill, Cork, Taylor and the rest he inherited,to fail he'd have to not want to go up in such a weak division.
  23. I've been saying it since the Rotherham game about Pears, there were some saying he could /should have saved both those goals, same against Hull. The trouble with that is, either the magnifying glass gets put away when Wahlstedt gets his chance, or the lad will be put under ridiculous pressure and there will be calls for Pears to come back in,because neither keeper has any chance with any of them. I even read yesterday that Kaminski would have saved Plymouth's second goal, that's after literally throwing one in on Friday night. I couldn't care less if Pears never puts the gloves on again, but some of the criticism over the past few weeks has been nothing short of ridiculous.
  24. Yes, if Tomasson has been looking for a genuine reason to replace Pears, he now has at least one. The second goal wasn't a complete cock up, but the 3rd one........ It'll be a bit of a worry if Tomasson feels Pears should keep the gloves.
