  1. Wharton always looks like his limping, in the same way Duffer always used to walk round like he was knackered after 2 minutes.
  2. Gally's back in a couple of weeks apparently. We've missed him - not because he's a great striker, but because he's the best we've got at the club.
  3. He was fantastic today, along with AW. I thought Garrett showed promise as well.
  4. Yeah, I said a RW who's fit. Hedges would be starting most games as he's the best we've got, and I think he's a tidy footballer, but there's very little end product. We need better.
  5. We didn't have a fit FB in the team today, and only Duru on the bench. Says it all really. We haven't had a fit and in-form striker playing all season. We don't have a Championship standard RW who's fit. I'd say the CM is the least of our worries. We need a FB, RW and a striker in January as a minimum.
  6. Nice of you to pop in after a win. See you again in March. Merry Christmas Fuck off Burnley
  7. I suppose there's the caveat that he's not match fit, but I've yet to see what Ennis offers. He looked every inch a League 1 plodder today. He couldn't hold up a corner shop with a rocket launcher, let alone the ball.
  8. Or you're just hyper critical of everyone, especially the young academy graduates.
  9. You couldn't possibly know that. And the point you're ignoring is that stats have context. The context is the budget he's working with and the league finish last season, the cup run last season, and the good season we are having this given the CONTEXT of the slashed budget and injury crisis. Intelligent owners of football clubs will see what a great job he's doing.
  10. It really isn't. The team is clearly very well coached, the players love him, and there is a clear style on display. We've just been fucked by injuries to an already small and inexperienced squad. He's far better than our owners and Waggott deserve.
  11. That's because those were the players they could afford....due to the budget...due to the shit owners. You'll join the dots one day.
  12. Noticeable he's only signed until 2025, which is when JDT's contract also expires.
  13. I thought we played well for the most part considering we were playing without a striker for most of it. Ennis is proving to be a real disappointment. Both Wharton's were excellent, as was Tronstad. Carter and Travis were also good. Siggy and Moran flatter to deceive. Great to see Hyam back, the last 20 minutes proved how valuable he is. Felt sorry for Leo, pulled off some great saves and then got a bit unlucky with the two goals. He's just a young lad learning his trade though, mistakes will happen. The lack of a decent squad cost us the points again. Watford weren't better than us until we ran out of legs in the last 20. Their expensively assembled squad won them the match. Injuries and our shit owners have killed us this season. Good to see Ewood a lot busier. 18k rather than 13k makes a huge difference. Well done to the Trust and all those involved. Merry Christmas one and all. Up the Rovers.
  14. A signed copy of Super Simon's book arrived yesterday.
  15. Watford are coming to a bit and starting to get the results their players should be getting. Saturday will be another tough afternoon where they will have one or two attacking players that could cause us problems that the non-parachute clubs don't have. And then there's Hull soon after that who have been able to spend money and bring in the likes of Connolly. It's weird how the people who constantly moan about how shit things are at the club, are the same people who have wildly unrealistic expectations about how the team should be performing. Cognitive dissonance.
  16. The point was the team is weaker with those players missing. Gally is better than anyone else we've tried up front this season, and Hedges is better than anyone else we've tried at RW.
  17. Maybe an approach for that young Palace winger we were interested in during the summer? We needed a right winger in the summer, and we still need one.
  18. Very true about Dolan, but Hyam, Gally, Hedges and JRC have also been huge misses. This season has been ruined by injuries, there's no other way of looking at it (and that's ignoring the shitshow of the last two transfer windows and the budget cuts) It's to JDT's credit that he has been able to grind out enough wins to keep us within touching distance of the play-offs as we approach the halfway mark of the season. Add to the excellent season we had in 22/23 and it will be a huge surprise if he isn't poached at some point.
  19. We're the 7th highest scorers in the league, and we have the league's top scorer.
