  1. First 15 mins we were noughties Barca. Next 20 we were noughties Barnet. Last 10 we've been gaining control again.
  2. Tronstad has been awful, continually giving the ball away. We're very reliant on Moran tonight for any sort of creativity.
  3. Excellent first 15 mins, but got a bit sloppy since. Brittain's use of the ball has been poor.
  4. Bit cold for me tonight so I'll be watching on Sky. You just can't buy that kind of loyalty. ๐Ÿ˜
  5. I agree with most of that, which is why I'm saying that they'll already know JDT has no intention of signing one. Imagine the uproar if they came out and confirmed that. Giving a meaningless answer at the FF is damage limitation. I just don't agree they'll be happy let him walk. They'll be desperate to get him to sign. I'd imagine he's desperate to work somewhere he'll be supported. Just my opinion.
  6. They'd have discussions with him/his agent before they offer him one. If he tells them he isn't going to sign an extension they wouldn't offer him one, and definitely wouldn't let the public knowing he had no interest in signing one.
  7. "SW replied that Jon Dahl Tomasson had a three-year contract that he was half way through and that nothing had been agreed to date on any extension to his current contractual position" A cynic might say that's a clever way of saying JDT has no interest in discussing a new contract.
  8. He was contracted until 2025, but the club had a year option to 2026. So it's basically a pay rise but on the same length contract (unless his new contract has an option until 2027)
  9. Yeah, can't imagine he was on much signing from L1. A well deserved pay rise.
  10. Good news and well deserved. Hopefully there isn't a ยฃ20 release clause.
  11. He's in his prime. If a PL club wants him they'll bid. Whether they can sell him on in 3 years would be fairly irrelevant. PL clubs aren't run like development clubs.
  12. Watched the highlights of the PNE 7-1 win and Duru looked like he was involved quite a bit, looks similar to Nyambe in build. Noticed he was on the bench against Stoke. How good is he from those that watch the U21's regularly?
  13. Yeah, good save that and pushed it away from the onrushing forwards. It's hard to make a full judgement on him but I think he's a better shot-stopper than Pears. Pears has let a few of those type of shots bounce over his wrist and into the net.
  14. Sacking Kompany - (uptheclarets.com) It's ok, even if they go down they'll 'walk' the Championship next season. They think they're the Man City of the EFL ๐Ÿ™„
  15. We've dominated quite a few games at Ewood and failed to take our chances. It's not the tactics that have let us down but our inability to choose the right pass in good positions and/or stick the ball in the net. Swansea are the only team IMO who have deserved to win at Ewood and even then we had two great chances in the first 10 minutes which we didn't take. (I even thought we matched Leicester until we fell apart late on chasing the game). As Stoke's manager said in the build up to yesterday's match, we are well-coached team who haven't had our just desserts from our matches so far this season. He's watched '8 or 9' games of our games. We are a good counter-attacking team, but we're also capable of dominating possession and creating chances. JDT mixes it up dependant on the quality/tactics of the opposition. We dominated possession at Norwich and battered them until SW was wrongly sent off. At Watford we sat very deep and hit them on the break. At Ewood we also change tactics depending on how the other team plays. I'm hoping we swarm all over B'ham tomorrow and do the same to Sheff Wed. If we take our chances we'll win. but as always in this league the first goal will dictate how the match goes.
  16. Ah, my mistake, when you said he has loads of shots and misses sitters I didn't realise that was praise๐Ÿ˜‹
  17. Deary me. Who are you comparing him to, Harry Kane? How many 'great' finishers are there in the Championship? How many in the PL? Every striker misses chances. He's not even a striker and he's the top scorer in the Championship. Bizarre criticism.
  18. Rovers were the main game on he ITV highlights that's on at the moment on ITV4. You can probably watch it on catch up. Worth watching for JDT's interview at the end, once again highlighting the difference in ambition between the him, the team and the fans on one hand and Waggott on the other!
