Jon Dahl Tomasson - no longer Sweden coach
NeilInBristol replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We were so fortunate to have him for the few months we did to show us what the possibilities are. Forever grateful. Loved the run we went on at the top end of the table end of 2022. Gave us so much hope. -

He shouldn't be near the team but wonder what JE thinks of him -
hopefully JE is the coach to be able to get the best out of him. so far so good. keep it up Bucko

controversial but... Wahlstedt Brittain O'Riordan Wharton Pickering Buckley Tronstad Garrett Moran Sigurdsson Telalovic only to give some of our players (Sammie, Gally, Hyam, McFadz etc) a rest because we need them (and dont want them getting injured) for the more vital championship games. also Pears on TV worries me, as the attention may be taken away from the owners if he is calamitous.

many would agree Since McFadz has been in the side (and Gally returning) we seem to be winning more headers, would he do any better with a better defence? would be interested to see if JE picks him for newcastle -

yep. the replays for the free kick are horrible watching. will JE comment on him/Leo? wonder if the media will ask about the GK situation in the near future, JE appeared to avoid the question on the free kick yesterday. -

Interestingly in transfermrkt Leo is valued at over 2m pears valued at 900k Both have similar stats on transfermarkt too Neither as good as TK. Wonder what JE thinks and if he would have his own ideas to replace these two this summer -

I'm sensing from this forum that nxon isn't to be relied on too much. All vague rumours? -

( i wouldnt give him that game just as we gave tony parks a record for the games he managed as interim) however tomato tomato. it doesnt really matter. ultimately we havent made huge improvements but we have had 1 clean sheet. 3 points out of 12, 1 defeat in 5, scored much fewer goals but hay ho. hope gilsenan gets a run against newcastle and hope hedges isnt out for too much time -

i think thats due to McFadz and Hyam. their partnership has been phenomenal. wish we had McFadz in the summer (when we didnt sign Bath and JDT was crying out for an Ayala replacement) we have lost balance of our attack though. I think JE will get a grip soon its just how much further down the table will we drop and at what cost -

Comparing apples and oranges JDT didn't have gally Dolan jrc hedges bucko JE didn't have Wharton. Different squads. Also the toxicity at the club before jdts departure is evident. Can't compare their tenures What you can do is note that JE has almost a fit squad (barring JRC) and has 3 points out of a possibility of 12. On that form alone we may not achieve our aim of 50,(now45) points. -

JDT went on a run of either winning or losing when he took over. What was it 4 months without a draw? JE has so far drawn 3 of the last games. Will this be his thing? A strong of draws?! He mentioned last week about a goal of getting to 50 points. Today he now said the target is 45points Hope that's enough -

tbf after tues i won't be rushing to watch us play live again, that was shocking. im sure many fans are turned off too, today was a bit better but a lot of lump it forward and hope gally gets on the end. at least corners have improved slightly but its not entertaining to watch overall -

the table after the qpr game(JDTs last game) and below is the table currently, we were 5 points off 22nd now we are 4 points from 22nd... -

yep. agreed. we are more compact defensively and play more with long balls but gally is not the man for that, very different to JDT style. are we now grinding out results? 3 points out of a possible 12 and 1 clean sheet. Pears did well today but his position for their goal was questionable. despite that he recovered well, pears from last season could have let that affect his confidence. he should have got motm though we arent passing it around the back which is fine, but we arent making the most of sammie hope we can get him more in the game. the newcastle game has come at the wrong time but hopefully it shines more attention on the owners than anything
