  1. Derek Williams was mediocre. Martin Olsson and Gael Givet were streets ahead of Beck.
  2. Then for me, he should play if he's contributing.
  3. Nah I'm sorry that's not good enough. The club have to start acting in a way that either protects assets or maximises the output of the squad. If he's ready to start contributing but hasn't signed a contract I have no interest in developing him this year for him to walk to Arsenal at the end of it. If these talks have been held then he'll know what is on the table. Sign and play, otherwise he should be used as and when required and no more.
  4. I find it very tiresome how you assume people are overlooking things rather than have considered them and don't see them as valid points. Your tone is consistently condescending and supercilious.
  5. I get not liking a kit or kits but to completely ignore how subjective their appeal is and to call for heads to roll is laughable, sorry. The home strip looks cheap and uninspiring, but I think the away and third are gorgeous.
  6. This feels like a huge overreaction to me. Far more pressing things to be concerned about than wearing an away strip for a home friendly.
  7. My assumption with kit suppliers is that there is some kind of tiering system. Access to new, bespoke designs would mean a bigger outlay from the club. Otherwise you get basic template designs and get to stick something on the collar and claim it's a "nod" to something.
  8. It's an embarrassment. An ongoing one that were all tied into.
  9. Recent post from the rovers account priming us for the fact that CB's replacement is already here.
  10. I'm so sick of this husk of a club. As if losing your players for nothing over and over again wasn't bad enough the attempted gaslighting by Gestede and co. is so galling. Dolan, Bath and Weimann leave for free. Brittain is being sold for buttons buuutttttt Hyam might sign a new deal.
  11. As would I. Both scenarios suck, but I'd rather we raised £0 from the sale in the hope it expedites the removal of Venkys and/or Suhail.
  12. Afraid this doesn't work when we needed him to play 90% of games due to a death of competition.
  13. No apology necessary fella. I agree, it's one project after another with this lot. Without some insight from the very switched on Watson the approach would be mystifying to me.
  14. The podcast Elliot did with Andy Watson recently was quite telling about the scouting of these relegated clubs. It seems there is at least a strategy at play, albeit one pushed by a lack of spending power.
  15. I'll not kill you, but will point out that incoming funds mean next to nothing to this club. Taking punts on cheap, young replacements is exactly what the club is doing and we'll see how wise it is to have those types of players as starting midfielders soon, I'm sure. I'd rather they stayed and left for nothing next year. I'd rather the club didn't earn a penny in transfer fees for the foreseeable, to be honest.
  16. They simply do not want to renew either contract, as they didn't want to renew Dolan's. It's not about it being "right for both parties", they don't want these players at the club, period.
  17. No, but we can use reason to deduce that this club, under this ownership wouldn't be paying £2m for a player, and if they were, spending that on this player would be ludicrous. I'm begging you to employ some critical thinking.
  18. I always find being condescending as hell is a good way to get my point across, too.
  19. Partey charged with what everyone - Arsenal hierarchy obviously more acutely than most - knew. Absolutely despicable.
  20. Pretty sure rules are different below the championship so in effect they have ungoverned spending for a period of time due to not having been in the league.
  21. We are so unbelievably fucked this season unless our freebies and cheapos then out to be better than Champions League regulars
