If this is aimed at me I'm afraid you've simply not read what I've posted. I've repeatedly said that the responsibility lies with the owners. It's their fault that long term fans no longer go, their fault that those that do go feel apathetic and jaded. It's quite simply true that attendance is awful and the stadium is quiet. You just can't argue with that. My heart goes out to those that go, it's week after week of insult to them. Please, don't misinterpret this as me blaming the fans, but simply stating that this is the result of Venky's continued fuckery.

The point in making mate is that it actively has a negative effect, not just no effect. I should also point out that I don't think that's acceptable, and that the team should have more backbone. I agree with you in that the squad is better suited to playing counter attacking football but I do think playing at home is currently a disadvantage.

You're conflating blame and outcome. Two things are true: 1. Crowds are criminally low because the ownership and upper management have systematically downgraded the club as a whole over a number of years to the point that people no longer associate with what they see, and either don't want to pay, or don't support as vociferously as they once did. 2. Consequently the atmosphere at Ewood is a shadow of what it once was. Results paint it very clearly. The players prefer playing away. None of these are the fault of the fans that have either stopped going or still suffer through this shit, but both are true.

Sorry fella but it's clear as day. It's not as if we're no better at home, we're actively worse when playing at Ewood. The points return is horrendous. Yes, it's because the team has been consistently downgraded, we have a talentless manager and sub par squad, but it's an unavoidable reality that the lack of atmosphere at home (which is wholly the responsibility of our owners) is undoubtedly detrimental to the performance of the team.

A very beatable team at home, confidence after a good away win and they serve that shite up. Of those that featured today, how many should be championship players? Not fucking many. Fucking dross.

No we've not been great away from home, but we've been absolutely dreadful at Ewood. It doesn't look or feel like home at all. The combination of the players being sub par and the lethargy around the stadium is to blame, imo.

Have a better explanation, given our away performances of late? I'll be clear, I don't blame the crowd, at all.

Take a look at Ewood. Think about how disheartening it must be to call that home support. There's zero mystery.
