As Jackson has pointed out JE had been playing 4-2-3-1 all of pre-season When attacking, Brittain has been playing pretty much as a RW with the actual RW (JRC) dropping into central areas to pick up the ball and create. So we essentially go 3 at the back when attacking, and then 4 when defending.

We still want Fadz and Batth?

CB is a good crosser of the ball, and has been getting into crossing areas as per JE’s tactics. JE is also after another winger who presumably can cross a ball.

I quite like Gally to be fair, he’s probably better than he’s given credit for. It will be interesting to see how he gets on elsewhere, but I’m not sure he’ll be missed all that much here.
